Christmas Countdown - 2016

We are heading to the lake tonight. Tomorrow we have....this is going to be a big surprise...a wedding!!! Another wedding! Our friends son is getting married so it should be a lot of fun. My sister is a neighbor to our friends so her & my BIL get there too! Another long day/night! Sunday we have a 1st communion in Indianapolis - I'm not sure that I am going, but my hubby is. We don't have anyone available to stay with mom on Sunday so I'll probably stay back with her - I am ok with that. I won't have to find someone for Gracie 2 days in a row that way too.

My youngest was with me today while I was shopping for makeup. I was testing various colours on my cheek/chin etc for the right shades. When I turned to my son, he had been copying me!!! There he was staring back at me with various colours of blush and foundation and eye shadow! He just had this perplexed serious expression that basically said I don't get what you see in this stuff mum ...

I just had lunch with my cousin who lives in Minneapolis, and she said how cool it was to see the city turning purple and having lots of events to honor Prince.

Now this morning has started off overcast with a strong rain prediction that could carry overnight into tomorrow morning.
Currently, we are at 66 degrees here in the capital city.

It's been non stop since I woke up this morning. First chance I've had to sit down and have something to eat/drink.

It's another beautiful day but cooler when the wind blows. We are expecting an arctic blast from weekend. Snow/hail/sleet and back to freezing weather. Depressing when you get a taste of the warmth to suddenly revert back to that Ugh!

I actually have the day off because I am working this weekend (and not looking forward to it). Just home relaxing as our car is at the dealership for routine maintenance.


What a terrific project you are undertaking. Lots of work I'm sure but it will be worth it to reclaim that space. I don't know about you but I always feel good after de-cluttering.

De-cluttering does make me feel good. Today alone I ended up with several bags for donation and have come up with an idea to repurpose a dresser as storage/shelving for the utility room.

Not too much going on here today. Maggie and I are going for a walk in a few minutes. I also have to run to the mall later to get my nephew a birthday gift. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores and make beef stew for dinner. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
