Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good evening,

It was inventory day again, it went smoothly but it makes for a long day. After work I had to rush to JP's Pack meeting, he has graduated from Cub Scout to Boy Scout, the ceremony was this evening and it was a nice one. I am so proud of him.
I was trying to catch up last night when I fell asleep, the laptop was on my lap and MMC was on the screen when I woke up an hour or 2 later. Tomorrow (Wed.) is my day off, and also our 14th wedding anniversary. Where has time gone?

Like the rare lunar eclipse, so are twin back-to-back Milestones.

Today's is, of course, the 200-day Season Window!

Days to the Season: 200
Days to Christmas Day: 242

But wait -- there's more!
<< No, No, Crown. I can't take any more! >>
But you don't want to miss tomorrow -- when we start a 100's level Season Count, do you?
<< Well.......no.... >>


Almost too warm here yesterday but fortunately, the humidity has yet to arrive.
Now today could be rather rainy and we have started it out here at 68 degrees, with lots of sun so far.


Have a Wonderful Wednesday and a Particularly Perfect 'Pines Day, Everyone!
Carl is ready and says he has a new game to be debuted at the 'Pines this evening called "Two Hundred Windows". I guess the 'Pines has that many (it's a pretty big place) but how Carl could work that into a game is anybody's guess.
I suppose I'll show up to see.

All of our hard work has paid off, the hotel opens today.
We had a party there last night, it really came together beautifully.

Harlowe had a decent night, and I'm so thankful. Hope today is even better for her Thank you all for the prayers.

Happy Pines Day!

I can't believe we are mid way through the week!!

Lots to get done today. I also need to run a couple of errands and pop to the supermarket quickly. I have no food in the house!

I also need to start thinking about which Estate agent to move to next. Ugh. Mr Festive was telling me about his colleague's experience last night. When they told their agent they wanted to leave, the agent met with them and listened to their reasons. She offered improvements and changes if they stayed. They did and their house sold within 2 weeks after that!

Just shows me that our agent didn't care as she never even asked for any feedback as to why we were leaving. Thank goodness we are moving on from them.

Okay well have a lovely Wednesday all. See you all later.

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Back to the Pines we go! We're just going round and round these weeks so fast. The last few days of April are coming up already. Yikes. Yesterday one minute it was 9AM at work and the next it was 3:30PM. I got so busy on this one project it was like a total blur. Well back to work today and hopefully I can get some of my own work done cause there's stuff I need to do today. I also will go to the Chinese buffet tonight. Something to look forward to.

Hello everyone. It has been too busy recently! I think today is going to be calm, thankfully.
Severe weather threatened us again last night, but thankfully just heavy rain and small hail. The tornadoes stayed away. Our chances are higher Friday and we have a lot of nervous kids around here. I'm praying it stays away!

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines/WednesDAY!!! Someone turned the heat off here! Brrrrr! Had to turn the furnace back on at home this morning! It's a dreary day with wind - not supposed to rain until later tonight! Going to be "one of them" kind of days concerning the weather!

Not much going on around here today. Emma (moms Amish lady) wants to go back tonight b/c she has a wedding tomorrow. So I'll stay with Mom tonight. I don't really think she needs someone all the time anymore, but it's a peace of mind, overnight anyway.
Please keep Mom in your prayers today - she has an apt w/ an oncologist. They found her platelet count very high when she was in with pneumonia in February & that has not gone down yet, though she is clear of pneumonia. So they forwarded her to an oncologist just to make sure things are ok. They don't know what her normal platelet count is b/c unless you have an illness, they don't check that. Soooo?? I'm a little unsure about the necessity of this appointment. Mom feels good, she's getting back to life, going back to the Y....what are they going to do? She's 87! Ahhhh, anyway.... say a little prayer that all turns out good, if you don't mind! Thanks!

Happy Milestone Day, everyone! 1/3 of the way, we are entering summer. Before you know it, we will be in the Bers and fall will be closing in. But no so fast, summer break is coming up and I can't wait. I've got 17 vacation days to use before July 1 and I'm not going to lose them. I've got some serious downtime coming and I don't want to rush through it.

I could have sworn I posted yesterday! I know I typed a post, but I guess I just forgot to post it. Knowing me, I probably feel to sleep typing it or something. I hate that. I'm sure I had something profound to share.

Good morning!
Happy Pines Day!
It's going to be partly cloudy today with a high of 60, we're currently at 48 degrees. Not too much going on here, typical day of errands and chores. My two youngest have off today, we're going to make homemade pizza for lunch. Dinner will be spaghetti and chicken parmesan. Can you tell I'm hungry, I should make myself something for breakfast. The Islanders play tonight, round two begins. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Agree! I'm always looking for Christmas on tv. Last Man Standing had a Christmas episode on tonight too.

We had the Buzzr channel on last night (old game shows), and there was a 1983 episode of Press Your Luck that had all Christmas-themed questions, plus the Whammies singing off-key Christmas carols! A bit strange, but a nice surprise!
