Where did the weekend go? I was hoping to catch up on some sleep, but if anything I fell further behind as I had trouble staying asleep. Hoping to get everything done in record time today so I can call it a night (or should I say afternoon?) earlier.

This week starts garage sale season which is a chance to find store stock at reasonable prices and I get to spend time with family and friends. It is also a lot of fun. First up is a book sale at the local library. Going to be a busy week! :)

Happy Monday!
We're expecting scattered showers today with a high of 57 degrees. The damp weather will continue through the week. Our pool is clearing up nicely, hopefully we'll get some warmer temperatures soon. Not too much going on here today. I need to pick a prescription up at Rite Aid. I also have to drive my daughter to and from work, my husband is taking her car today to be inspected. It should have been done two months ago but no one noticed. Oh well, it happens. I'm craving homemade chicken soup so I'm going to make a big pot for dinner. Maybe a homemade pizza as well for the girls. They don't think soup is real food!
That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

We are nearly down to SINGLE DIGITS to the HALF-WAY MARKER to Christmas Season 2016. It's just 13 days away.
(Now that's really scary!)


A tale of two day halves, yesterday.
The morning was rainy and chilly. The afternoon was warm and sunny.
Today? Well, more rain is predicted.
Currently, we perceive 70 degrees here on our back door thermometer.

---- TRAVEL ALERT ---

The Crowns will be doing some traveling this month! Three different trips.

The first starts this Wednesday. A 2 day trip to western NC where my sister has a work conference. My nieces and I are going along to visit the Biltmore House in Asheville.
The second will be our annual trip to see relatives in Florida coming up at mid month.
The third and last will be over the Memorial Day weekend to complete work at the cottage for the start of the summer rental season.

(Lots of guest counter opportunities!!)

Anyone interested in the first one?
(I can post Wednesday, as we are not leaving until late morning but someone will be needed for Thursday and Friday.)

Haha@your daughters. I've always told my mom the same thing that soup isn't real food. It's like a side thing if you want but not a meal even if there's meat in it.
