I love homemade chicken soup, I would make it every week if I could. But that wouldn't go over well with them!
Good Monday Morning MMC! First work week of May. Looking forward to this month with Mothers Day and Memorial Day. I've got off 2 Mondays this month (16th and 30th) so I'm looking forward to that. This is my busy week at work although it's not terrible. Looks like we're going to have a damp, cool and cloudy week. So much for May flowers. Anyway, I got my mom a gift certificate for her hair salon, a cake and then we're gonna take her out for brunch in a couple weeks.

Have I told you all that I have a daughter getting married in June? It's all good, they got engaged last month. This was the big moment:
But have I told you what fun weddings are, especially one that we're attempting to pull off in less than 90 days...and that the groom's parents want to invite 350 people.
Kill me now.
Seriously, if I get through this without my head exploding, it'll be a miracle. Christmas in July can't come fast enough.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!
I started a diet this morning. It's one of those week-long vegetable soup deals. The soup is actually very good, but I have to eat it as my only meal...three meals a day for a week.
I've done it before and lost a little less than 15 pounds in a week, but that soup starts getting old after a few days. That's what I get for letting myself go, though.
We've been trying to settle on a graduation present for Jacob. He wants the fancy German-made bass guitar, but I'd have to be a much wealthier man to pay for it. That boy has some expensive taste! He's going to have to set his sights a little lower, though.
And I have to take him for his college physical at the doctor's office. I can't believe all the stuff you have to go through just to get you kid into a college. Grr.
