Ice cream supper sounds really good. When it's this hot my hubby never wants a hot meal after work. Last night was cold ham & cheese sandwiches. Tonight I'm thinking Ice Cream Supper!!![]()
Tip: To ease brain freeze, put your tongue against the roof of your mouth. It warms the nerves that are overstimulated by the cold.Ever notice that brain freeze doesn't stop people from eating ice cream fast? That's how good it is. No pain, no gain.
I've DVR'd enough Hallmark Christmas movies this week to get me through the rest of 2016! I've watched a few and deleted them. I don't want to fill up the DVR because we all have so many other shows we record weekly. November Christmas has been my favorite so far!
No more planned vacation for us until Labor Day weekend. I hate for school to start on August 8 (DD will move up a school, into 6th grade), but I look forward to Labor Day weekend and the beginning of "the -bers".
Hopefully we are nearing completion of our home addition. Walls are being painted and flooring installed. DH & I are sleeping on our bed in the living room & DD is sleeping next to us on the couch. All of our bedroom furniture is crammed into the living & dining room. It's kind of like camping at home! The sheet rock dust almost did us in, but that part is over. However, we'll probably be cleaning the dust off of/out of things for months.
Hallmark ornament premier on Saturday & I'll be at the closest Hallmark store. They open at 7:00 a.m., but I don't know if I'll get there that early. It's a 45 minute drive to get there. They have our wish list ornaments packed up and ready for us, but there is a limited edition Star Trek ornament that I need to get for DH so I want to get there early. I will also pick up the ornaments that Mom gets for the granddaughters. She kept all four of them yesterday and they picked out what they wanted.
It's a cool, rainy day here after weeks of 90+ temps and no rain. I'm burning a "winter" candle and listening to classic Christmas music today. I'm in the mood!
I'll be sure to keep Har in my thoughts. Thanks, SnowflakeMom!
Hope you have a wonderful day, too!
Harlowe is hanging in, thanks. Still having some issues, but we are keeping an eye on her, and going to report back to her vet and see how she wants to proceed. Bladder stones were ruled out, thankfully, this past weekend with an x-ray.
Thanks for checking in on her! <3
Congratulations!!!Good evening, friends~
Hope you're all having a nice summer night, and staying cool!
We closed on our house this evening, we are officially homeowners again!! Woohoo!!![]()

Thank you very much!Congratulations!!!
Such a hilarious movie!Good evening,
Another fun day, we went and saw "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows" today. It was a fun movie, we will probably pick it up when it comes out on Blu ray. We went to a car show tonight, but found out it was canceled due to the thunderstorms that never materialized. We will try it again next Thursday night.
My sister is driving up from North Carolina tomorrow, so we will get to spend time with her and my niece and nephew for a week and a half. It has been almost two years since we have seen my sister, and a few years longer for her kids.
Winding down watching the '80's classic "The Great Outdoors" now, whenever I watch a John Candy movie, I realize how much I miss him.
I hope you all had a great day.
Goodnight, everyone
Good morning, happyelf!Good Morning all! Rainy day in the UK - but I'm so glad I remembered my log in details for My Merry Christmas so I can get back into the forums!
Hope you are all keeping well. Will catch up on lots of messages & podcasts that I've missed.
