No I have not! She actually didn't do too bad this weekend. Friday night there were a couple fireworks really close to our trailer so she crawled under the bed, but during the main fireworks from the fest she was fine. I will have to look into those. Doesn't look like there is protein in them. We have to watch her protein intake. Thanks for the tip!

Merry Christmas in July, my Christmas friends!

It sure is hot down here, but I'm still feeling Christmassy! It was 101°F yesterday afternoon, and we have another week of it coming, according the 7 day forecast. So what?!? Bring it on! It's Christmas in July!!

It's also the 4-year anniversary of my heart attack, and I thank the Lord for each day he gives me with my family. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Father God!

That has been quite a problem around here too, lots of wells are drying up with the lack of rain. I think we are at least 6 inches short of last year's rainfall total at this time.

I thought for sure over the weekend at some point we would get some rain. WRONG!

Late night here! I've started back to school to get my Ed.S. Going to take me 18 months, so I figure there will be some late night visits on Friday and Saturday nights to next few months.

I have been watching Christmas in July on QVC the past few days. I also recorded it so I could watch it again. I think I'm on round three. It sure has been exciting to hear people talking about Christmas!

I really need to head to bed. I've got to get up in 5 horus and do some more work. See y'all later!

Trying to conserve energy by not running the a/c 24/7...been giving it a break a few hours at a time but it's so warm that the room gets too warm too quickly without it.

I stayed at Moms last night. Of course she is 87 & at that age, they tend to like it warmer in their house, but I was so darn warm overnight I don't feel like I slept at all! I did turn down her AC & it was feeling pretty good but she must have got up in the middle of the night & turned it back up. BUSTED!

Well, hello my merry friends!!! When last we spoke, I was contemplating building an ark as we were marooned due to flooding. It was great fun (cue sarcasm here!) Before I go any further, I'd like to apologise for dropping the ball on our E-card exchange. Life got in the way but that's no excuse. Please consider forgiving me sometime before next year. Been re-listening to last year's Santa launch; what an amazing tracking event; well done those elves!!!!!! In the middle of wedding season right now so pretty much every weekend until October is spent marrying couples. They're beginning to turn into one big wedding with only the names changing but I treat each one as if I've never done one before and they are the most important people in the world ever, which on their wedding day, they should be!!!! The dogs are older, stiffer and greyer but still as loud and in your face as ever. Jacob is now 11 and sporting lovely silver whiskers. Cracker is 12 and is developing little old man tendencies!!!! Bruce is living the dream, working for the mouse in Shanghai. Will be there until next June but has already decided to stay on. The weather there is brutal - yesterday was 109* with 91% humidity. Good luck with that!!! Hope you are all doing great and everyone's well. Enjoy CIJ - I bought a Mr Christmas NOEL which lights up (courtesy of our friends at QVC) Can't wait to start using it!!!
