Good morning MMC! I've been on vacation with no internet for a few days and then had the "oh gosh catch up on all I missed while vacationing" days at work. I'm back now though and what a time to come back--AUGUST is TOMORROW!!! WOW. CIJ was fun, but AUGUST. It's the first of the longer month names, which means cooler temps are not far away now, and neither are all my favorite times of the year! I hope everyone has an awesome day today and is doing well!!

Hope you enjoyed your vacation DYHWIH! Have a nice night and a great week ahead!

Folks, this is it. The last day of July. We are about to roll into one of the most exciting times of the year. School starts in a few weeks, football practice and games start to happen, SeptemBER will come around.....

Before we know it, we will be back to the best time of year. Intentionally, we try to stretch it. We try to be really festive this time of year with decorations, meals, watching movies...doing things that families should do, but get too caught up in the hustle of life. We have a zoo trip planned, a birthday party, a corn-field maze trip, a night on the Polar Express, and we already have tickets to an event around Halloween called Zoo Boo. If you add that to Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day....you see why this time of year really flies by pretty quick.

Having two baby girls changed me more than I could ever imagine. Before kids, football on Sundays and the season was mainly what I enjoyed. Don't get me wrong, I've been here since 2009....so I have always been a Christmas nut. This time of year has just given me a whole new perspective on how short all of this really is going to be. My oldest daughter, who will be three (can you believe that?), only has 15 more Christmas at home. I know, I know....that is 15 years. But if you think about the things you are most passionate about, just having 15 left of something isn't much. My Dad is older, he has experienced a heart attack and two strokes. While I might have 15 Christmases with my oldest daughter at home, I hope I have 15 more with my Dad before he goes home.

Why I am typing this and why it struck my heart, I have no clue. I guess the excitement of today being the last day of July and us being on the brink of the most exciting time of the year just gave me pause this morning, but while there is still time....go ahead and plan a few family events. Schedule an event for everyone in your family and put it on your calendar. If there is one thing I have learned over the past few years, this will all end way too soon.

Now, pray for me. There is a herd (yes, a herd) of wasp that build a fort on my back deck. It's about to get ugly.

Beautiful post ballcoach xx

Well guys...my brother and I decided to go see about dogs today. I called up a place and they had 3 Boston Terriers. We decided to go. 1 was already gone by the time we got there. They brought out both and 1 of them ran right up to us and started playing with his toy. It's hard to explain but if you're a dog person you understand. He was running back and forth playing with us. The other one was nice too but it just felt like this one wanted to come with us. We played with him for a while and then other people came in and started looking at him saying how cute he is. We knew then we had to decide...so we decided to take him. We couldn't take him home today cause he has a little cough they said (although i didn't even hear him cough) but the fact they told us that and said we want to make sure he's 100% ok when you take him made me feel good that this wasn't a place trying to rip us off. It wasn't cheap but I never handed over my credit card so fast for anything. We may go visit him on Wednesday to see his progress and we hope by late week/next weekend we can take him home. He's 4 months old. Right now we think we have a name but it's not 100%. We think it's going to be Rollins.View attachment 27224 Here's a pic. I don't know how I'm going to wait a week to bring him home. I already want to go back and play with him.

Awww, he's so cute Edge! Congratulations!!! I hope he gets to come home with you soon. So happy for you guys :)

It's with Wynona Ryder & Matthew Modine, takes place in 1983, small town Indiana. It's got a Sci-Fi element, reminds me a bit of Goonies/ Steven Spielberg-esque. Many references you'd appreciate. About a group of young boys & their friendship, and mysteries going on in the town.
Sounds interesting, what channel is it on?

Last day day July finally!!! So I went to bed and the weather said rain all day. Wake up and its completely changed now with only a 30% chance later tonite. Glad I cancelled plans due to the forecast..lol
Sorry to hear you canceled your plans.
It may be just me, but July felt like the longest month this year.

We're watching it on Netflix
We don't have Netflix anymore, we just didn't watch it. Honestly, as the kids gave gotten older and the more running around we do for their activities, there is less time for TV, our DVR is filled with all kids shows now. The only show I have been watching lately is "Impractical Jokers."
