Happy August! Just working today..my oldest daughter is at soccer camp this week so I have to pick her up at 11:30. I did not sleep well last night...not sure why but I had terrible insomnia so extra caffeine is in order today. Just work for me and after work I need to go to the grocery store. Hope you all have a great day!

Morning MMC!! Had to get my smoker fired up for a brisket today. Kids still sleep,wife sleeps, and the TV is all mine..lol

YUM! I made smoked pulled pork over the weekend. Smoked it for a couple hours, then wrapped it in foil. The next day I put it in the crock pot with "Not Your Daddy's Root Beer" & cooked it on low all day. Shredded it & added bbq sauce. Delish!

YUM! I made smoked pulled pork over the weekend. Smoked it for a couple hours, then wrapped it in foil. The next day I put it in the crock pot with "Not Your Daddy's Root Beer" & cooked it on low all day. Shredded it & added bbq sauce. Delish!

I have a Dr.Pepper bbq sauce recipe I will dig up for ya.
I dry rub my briskets..usually smoke with pecan,mesquite,and any leftover onion wrappings I have saved up. Shred, then add sauce.
I remember when stores used to almost give briskets away..now they sell em like Ny Strip prices.
-- btw..Pecan in the south is pronounced "Pick-khan"..lol

Went to the store today and I picked up a bottle of Girl Scout Cookie creamer. Lord all Mighty its glorious!!! Wish I liked eggnog now.
