Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Morning, MMC!! It's another beautiful morning here with a current temperature of 67 degrees. Unfortunately, the heat and humidity return tomorrow. Ugh. No one can agree how long it will stick around this time, but hopefully it won't be long. Not much going on today. Definitely won't be getting in the car. I had 4 dreams last night and 3 ended in car crashes and the 4th a plane crash. So I'll take that as a sign. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!

Yeah, after those dreams, I'd certainly recommend a day on the couch!

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Back into my schedule now which is slightly adjusted with Rollins. But I'm good now and allow more time for him. He follows me around when I'm home like he's my shadow. Not even a week we've had him home and he's acting like my best friend. Other than that I'm going to a new dentist today so wish me luck. I hate having to change dentist but my coworker recommended this guy. My old dentist retired this summer.

Our dentist, whom we loved, retired a couple years ago. We stayed with the dentists who took over his practice, but they were expensive and impersonal and didn't accept our insurance. We finally switched to a dentist a friend of ours highly recommended, and she's very good ... and her receptionist is a whiz at dealing with the insurance even though the dentist is out-of-network. A good and trustworthy dentist with a good office staff is a blessing in life, especially when you have problems like I've had.

Our family dentist (and old family friend) recently passed away, and his practice was bought by a dentist we don't know, so we're in new territory, too. Good luck to us all!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

Nancy and I went to Savannah for a doctor's appointment. It was finished quickly, so we went to a mall and walked around. Then we went to the Tanger Outlet and walked around, the we went to Sam's Club and walked around. Finally, we went to Panda Express. I love that food! LOL

It's hot and humid here in southeast Georgia, and I have to edge the curb and sidewalks today. Ick. I wish I had a grown son that would do that sort of stuff for his old man.

A few years ago I had a dream that my brother was in a car accident. The next day he was in one (but it was just a fender bender fortunately). Pretty scary how dreams can be!

It was a long slow Monday, I wasn't feeling well at all today. I pushed through even though I almost went home early a few times. The weather is beautiful, nice and cool, a town about 80 miles from us had a tornado at about 3am this morning. Scary stuff, thankfully no one was injured.

Morning all, hope this finds you all well! I am just sat here catching up around the forums. We have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Tenerife! It was lovely! I have had my fill of nice weather and now want it to be Autumn ha! the bers are so close now! I am sat thinking of gifts I would like to start buying soon and also what receipes I would like to try out when the temps start cooling down!

I am in the mood for those amazing Fall comfort foods, too. I have been making pumpkin spice, apple cider, and banana nut muffins & bread on the weekends, but I also want to make homemade chili & beer cheese soup soon. Like you mentioned, maybe in a couple weeks when it's cooler!

Good morning everyone, Happy Tuesday! It's going to be sunny with a high of 79 today. We're currently at 61 degrees. I have the sliding glass door open so the cats could look outside and the cooler air feels wonderful. I think the cats are enjoying it as well. I just put some food out for the birds so they're having fun watching them. Not too much going on here today. I'm going to do some food shopping after my husband and the girls are up and off to work. Other than that I'll be working on my daily chores. It's Taco Tuesday night for dinner. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

That is TRUTH.
We have our cars repaired at serviced at the dealership, which is both honest and great to work with. They're also great to buy a car from, so they've had our business for 16 years now.

Well at long last a little relief. Yesterday showed about a 5-10 degree drop in temperature and a noticeable lowering of the humidity level.
I would not really say it was completely comfortable but it was a darn sight better than the previous several weeks!
Similar conditions should prevail for today and tomorrow, so rest assured I will pick that time for my next lawn mowing.
We are at 69 very pleasant degrees here, currently.

Good Tuesday morning everyone. I trust that everyone's week got off to a good start. As many of you know yesterday was the beginning of back to school in our house with my youngest getting back into the swing of things. She started 6th grade yesterday and while there may have been a few bumps over all I think she felt like it went well.
After I had gotten home the first thing she reported was all of the walking she had to do and how lost and turned around she got throughout the day. I will say that I really like when schools transition the younger grades in so to give them the opportunity to get to know the lay of the land so to speak. So yesterday it was just the 6th graders walking the halls so if there was any day to get lost or walk into the wrong class yesterday was the day to do it because more than likely you wouldn't be alone or the only one. Lizzybeth reported that she lost her Vera Bradley lunch box Since it was just her first day and she was probably extremely overwhelmed I told her to return today and check with teachers and the lost and found.

Last night I made her a back to school dinner which consisted of her favorite cuisine Mexican and her big sister made her a cake. Then we had a visit from my niece for dinner. My niece is just a few years younger than myself so she's more like my younger sister since her mum/my oldest sister is 19yrs older than myself. She stayed for dinner and we had fun reminiscing about what it was like for us in school and growing up when we were young. And of course there were stories about my mum that had us holding our stomachs.

I hope that all my friends have a wonderful day and I look forward to hearing about all the goings on in your lives.
