In honour of the first Autumn day, I'm currently making a rigatoni casserole with butternut squash. First time working with butternut squash, just the smell and nice orange colour when cutting it in cubes made me think of Fall.

Good Morning, Final Quarter Approachers!

And without any doubt, we are indeed nearing the last of four quarters on our voyage back to Christmas Day 2016.

Days to the Season: 52
Days to Christmas Day: 94

In fact, that next marker is actually now LESS THAN HALF A WEEK away and closing rapidly!


The remains of Julia continue to linger off our coast and we had off and on agan rain nearly the entire day. Cool temperatures, too.
The same conditions could possibly continue for today and maybe even tomorrow before the storm finally decides to depart.
We are at 71 rather wet degrees right now here in the capital city.

.....Then, I had a scary dream! I dreamt that the Blossoms thread had been open for a couple days and I didn't even know! How scary is that? It's practically a nightmare!

I just checked here, and it is all good. Crown has yet to debut the Most Wonderful Thread of the Year! ... Although I have a sneaking suspicion that his next trip to Crabtree will be to prepare for the thread's unveiling.

What an awful nightmare, Brent!!
But, not to worry. Crabtree preparations are already in the can and ready for roll out in the very near future.

One of my favourite things about autumn is cooking seasonal dishes and making up my own.

I made a pasta dish with butternut squash a couple weeks ago. Enjoy your dinner. I am sure you will!

Good morning, everyone!

Happy first day of Fall! It's the final season before our favourite day of the year! And, of course, the Season that includes our season, the Christmas Season! Seeing all your Fall photos that welcome in the new season made it much easier to wake up today.

I am up a little early considering there is no work. No teaching positions today at all, really. Tomorrow, I have to tutor. I might have a tutoring shift on Saturday or Sunday as well. Next week, I have four days already booked. Not bad! It is all starting to pickup.

Well, I should get started on a few things. I hope everyone has a wonderful first day and you're all embraced by some cool air and falling leaves, although it seems that both are a little later this year than usual - at least they are in Canada's Capital.

can u guys believe that it´s less than 2 weeks of october? the great thing about October?.....October 3rd is the German National Holiday (Day of the German Union...or something like that....not sure how it would be called in English....we celebrate being united)...anyway...it´s a public holiday....and it´s on a Monday this year....which gives everyone a long weekend......what makes it even greater....Kandice school is closed on the 4th.......so we are off for 4 days!!!!!

Good Thursday Morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve! Happy Autumn! It's a beautiful morning out. We officially turn from summer to autumn today. Farewell summer but welcome to the best season of all. Just another day at work and thinking about the weekend ahead. I'm supposed to work next Saturday October 1 (well at least half a day not all day hopefully). It's only the 2nd Saturday this year I'll work and probably the last. Only doing it cause 2 of my coworkers got picked for jury duty the same time. That'll just make me enjoy THIS weekend coming even more!

Evening everyone, hope you are all well and enjoying the 'bers. Apologies for the sporadic updates. Unfortunately Jonah ended up back at the doctors with a relapse of his viral infection and a cold and teething all at once. It hasn't been an easy week, but that's babies for ya. He was well enough to have some fun on Tuesday for his big 1st birthday party thanks to the pain relief.

No apologies needed! Glad he had a good 1st birthday. Praying he's back to 100% very quickly!
