Christmas Countdown - 2016

It's at the local Rod & Gun park here. Fall colors should be in full bloom for the wedding. No real chance of rain, but a forecasted high of 56. It's going to be a fun wedding. They guy she's marrying fits in with the family's sense of humor.

While we're having a Summer-like day here, the South of Saskatchewan woke up to close to 40cm of the white sutff this morning (pictured below). Pretty but much too soon.

Oh my goodness. It looks beautiful but I don't need to see that for awhile yet. Hard to imagine with our 83º sunshiny day today! Thanks for sharing!

The Season is Nigh Upon Us Dept: Fleet Farm started advertising Toyland's opening 10/15/16 at 6AM, last Saturday.....This morning, I caught Rent - a Center's Christmas ad. While it is a tad early, it ties in with the furniture, carpet, and cleaning the house spots that will begin running in the next ten days. It was a happy breakfast gift.

Always nice to start seeing the signs of Christmas!!

Good Afternoon, Christmas friends!

We're scrambling to tie everything down. I guess we were hoping the storm would turn away, and it still might, but it looks like it'll be here tomorrow evening. There are mandatory evacuations along the coast. All the highways from Savannah going west are bumper-to-bumper, and the store shelves are being stripped bare.

I understand buying water & canned goods, but things like milk & meat are selling out, too. Oh well. It should only last a day, so we just need to hunker down and "weather" it. LOL

All others in the path, take care!

Evening everyone,

Following our 9 o clock appointment with the Dr this morning my son was sent to hospital. We were there all day and he has had several tests/blood work done.He has been so brave. Finally diagnosed with Mesenteric adenitis which mimics symptoms of appendicitis. He is in a lot of pain and discomfort my poor boy. We've been in hospital all day. So glad they let us come home. He is resting now but it may be a long night again ahead.

Talk about a hectic week. I never saw this coming on top of everything else!!!

We made a leaf from canvas fabric and used brown and yellow wool string to make a pattern on it. Will try and post pic of it when I get a chance. It was a lovely evening, He really sang his heart out too.

Following our 9 o clock appointment with the Dr this morning my son was sent to hospital. We were there all day and he has had several tests/blood work done.He has been so brave. Finally diagnosed with Mesenteric adenitis which mimics symptoms of appendicitis. He is in a lot of pain and discomfort my poor boy. We've been in hospital all day. So glad they let us come home. He is resting now but it may be a long night again ahead.

Talk about a hectic week. I never saw this coming on top of everything else!!!

Not sure how I'm going to work this all out in the morning yet to get showered, ready for work, Mom taken care of, (which doesn't take much, it's just havng someone there) then Gracie to the vet & off to work as soon as I can. Whew! Wish us luck!! xx

I can just imagine how much pain he's in if it's like appendicitis. Hopefully he can rest and recuperate. Did they say how long the symptoms may be present? Hoping for a quick recovery.

Sounds like New England when a "nor'easter" is forecast. Bread, milk, and eggs vanish from the shelves.

I feel awful for those who have to evacuate. On top of all the worry and uncertainty, they have to tolerate the huge volume of traffic to get to safety.
