TGIF, my Christmas friends!

We're taking off for a short trip to the mountains today! Jacob is too old to hang out with the 'rents on the weekend, though, and he's staying behind. Time gets away from us too fast.

We've all gotten in the habit of watching a TV show together while we eat, and lately we've been watching the Flash on Netflix. It's a pretty good show, and it's time together. After the show, they retreat to homework or phones, so it's nice to have that time.

Good Morning, Comrades in Pursuit of Christmas!

And the chase is marked by numbers --- always the numbers.
They tell us what we want to know: just how far away our objective lurks.

Thus:
Days to Halloween: 10 (SINGLE DIGITS from TOMORROW!)
Days to the Season: 23 (Closing in on three weeks!)
Days to Christmas Day: 65 (Two months and four days!)
(Not dwindling down into a bedpost yet, but starting to get there.)


One last very warm (almost hot) day yesterday.
Today will be pleasantly warm.
Tomorrow will be cool.
Tomorrow night will be cold!
(And so it goes for the weather in these parts. This is not at all atypical.)
We stand at 66 degrees here right now and we could see a spot of rain this afternoon.

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! Well instead of 1AM like Thursday morning, Rollins let me sleep an extra hour (as xander mentioned to me) to 2AM! I had to play with him and then I finally got back to bed. Then I woke up and he had gotten into the garbage and got sick. He seemed fine when I left now. Other than being a little tired I am glad that it is Friday. Going to try to relax this evening with a good dinner and watch some Halloween shows. Saturday I'm going to do my usual errands I need to do. Sunday we're going to my Uncle's for our big Walking Dead return show/dinner. Should be a fun/good weekend.

Mom is coming up this evening & we are traveling to see my great aunt. She is 93 and a spitfire. Her health is changing so every moment is precious to us.
Sunday will be a catch up day around the house, and some relaxation and seasonal movies too.

We don't have too much planned for tonight. Tomorrow is my oldest daughter's homecoming dance and then the girls are sleeping over at our house.
Sunday no real plans...relaxing.

I'm up much too early for a day off but I feel like I'll be able to fall back asleep after David leaves for work, because I'm so tired. Another rainy, dreary day here. I'll be working on chores around the appartment. And I'll be sampling all the new Christmas cds coming out today to see if I'll be adding anything to my playlist. And later on I have a package to pick-up at the post office and the invitations that I had printed at Staples will be ready. But first, more sleep. Have a fantastic day everyone!

We don't have many plans this weekend other than going to the lake. Might make soup over the fire tomorrow but I don't think many people will be up. Going to be a quiet 2nd last weekend at the lake. Buckeyes have another night game, so we'll be watching! Playing @sugar142286 Nittany Lions!

Haha Rollins!! So much energy! Leo is a garbage hound...he figured out how to open our cabinent door to get at the garbage so I had to put a child lock on it. He is a little devil...lol

You are a brave woman....that's a lot of teenage energy...I don't know if I could handle it...It's rough handling the 2 in my house that are 8 days apart! Have fun though!

I had to move the garbage can up on the paper shredder. But he jumps so high he sometimes can reach it. I've told him not to touch it...he listens at first then when I walk away he goes for it. Have a good weekend as well SFM.

Perry Como IS Christmas to me!! I still have my Moms 33 album with the skip at the very end of "For the Holidays you can't beat home sweet ho...." ENJOY!

Do you find that when you hear that record elsewhere, that doesn't have the skip, that you hear it in your brain anyway? That happens to me with Christmas recordings that I first knew from LPs---sometimes I can hear skips and scratches in CDs and MP3s that aren't there!
