Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Wednesday Morning MMC and Happy Pines Day! It's going to be beautiful with temps near 60 and sunshine. Have to enjoy it because next week looks much chillier. Well it is November so we have to deal with whatever weather we get. At least it will feel more like the holidays just in time for Thanksgiving week. Oh man 1 week from today is my favorite work day of the year. We leave at noon and are off till the following Monday. We really are right on the "edge" of the world going full into the holiday spirit (and we need it with all that's going on in the news lately).

Merry Pines Day! My oldest daughter is home sick with the stomach bug. Not up too much today just working and hoping I can get into the chiropractor. My shoulder is bothering me and tonight my youngest daughter has dance. Hope you all have a great day!

Two days ago only 2 of the across the creek neighbours had their lights up and on and last night I wondered when the third one would light the night with that calm and cheerful feeling I get from Christmas lights. This morning, I saw their lights on as well. 2 of the 3 received Christmas cards from this merry stranger last year as a thank you for brightening up my world. Without them all I'd have to see out the balcony window would be bare trees sometimes with snow and sometimes without. I will add the 3rd home to my card list this year.

Was there a short in the wire or were they just poorly made; wonder what caused the problems with the bulbs. Sometimes you have to spend a bit more for longer lasting quality. That's why I only wrap with SCOTCH tape and the lovely scent of pine needles instead of discount tape.

What a nice gesture to give those people who light up their house a card at Christmas.

Tonight, I saw a home that had their Christmas tree up and lit by front window. It looked so beautiful!

I LOVE trees that peep through the window! I always put our tree right in the front window and open the curtain so it can shine out.

Same here. I don't want to look like a peeping Tom, but when I walk Loki at night during the Christmas season, I actively look (from afar) in windows to see Christmas trees all light up. Unfortunately due to lack of space we can't put ours right in front of the patio doors, it's more in a corner of the room, but if you walk in from one side, you see it through the doors.

Nothing much going on here for me today. Just have work at 1 so that means Carolina has to eat lunch at my cousins house.
We are possibly taking Carolina to see Santa at Damblys a garden center near us. They have the best Santa. It cost $10 but we get to take as many pictures as we want and he always has us take a family photo with him too. It's much better than the mall Santa's that cost $40.

Bella's appointment went well, she got more medicine, hopefully it will kick in and help. She's sleeping like a baby right now under the Christmas tree.
Its been a busy day. I got my food shopping over with after the veterinarian appointment. I had a couple of other errands to run as well. Just finished cooking dinner and I'm working on the laundry. My husband called to let me know the new car is ready to be picked up so I had to clean my car out. I'm just waiting for my hubby to get home and then we'll go pick the car up. Didn't have time to finish decorating th tree but I'm still going to try and get to it later this evening. Hopefully we won't be at the car dealer too long. I hope everyone's day is going well!

I'm so happy to hear Bella's appointment went well & praying the meds kick in & really help her out!

That is our forecast for Friday-rain/snow mix.
And then Tuesday & Wednesday some snow is expected. It seems surreal that we have had such mild weather this far, that snow sounds unbelievable now!

I believe the weather is going to go from 1 extreme to the next! They are now predicting a high of 70 on Friday & a high of 41 Saturday. Crazy!
