Yes, I'm excited for her to see my brother & sil - hoping that will give her incentive to try harder to get stronger so she can get her happy hiney HOME!

I am really looking forward to tomorrow. Some years we go out for breakfast before hand, but then we get a late start shopping & an even later return time....I mentioned skipping breakfast this year, maybe an earlier return since I have my nephews wedding on Saturday. I'm just tired of rushing around...seems everything has been rushed since Mom went in the hospital. She agreed - a nice 'n relaxing, fun day!! Bring it on!

I would love some of that unexpected snow for our shopping trip tomorrow - not enough to make the roads bad, just enough to enjoy watching it come down. It can warm up a little though! I don't like to wear a coat in & out of stores. Looks like we'll have to tomorrow though!

Yes! Mom is coming on Saturday afternoon, and we are making spritz cookies, having dinner, drinking a little wine, and watching Christmas movies.
On Sunday, my sister & niece are joining us and we are making cut-outs! Should be lots of fun!
My niece wanted to bake at our house so she could see my decorations and village. She has become a collector, herself!

My dentist retired in April so in August I went to a new one. He seems pretty good just not "comfortable" with him yet.

Oh ugh! Hope it all goes well!

It went pretty good. The hygienist was the same girl from the old office, so that was good. The dentist must be in his late 20's. When I get to the point that I'm older than my doctor, my preacher and my dentist?!?

Join the club! Although our doctor is still older than we are, believe it or not.

We laugh, but it's tough to start over with a new doctor, dentist, or preacher when a trusted one retires!

Hello Everyone! Happy Friday Eve! I just thought I would stop in before bed and take a look around. I mailed out all my International Christmas cards on Saturday and I spent a GOOD part of today working on the US list. I was also opening new cards that came in the mail today and I just have to say WOW! I love giving and getting cards! I am amazed that I never get two of a kind. I love opening a new beautiful card and showing it to my 3 year old daughter. I love reading the happy Christmas wishes, even if the card is just signed in someone's hand. I won't be able to thank everyone individually, but I will say "Thank You!" to everyone who sent me or is sending me a card! If you aren't doing the card exchange this year, no problem. Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to you too!

Wow, snowflake22, that is a cute project/display and a super cute helper! If I had more doors, I would totally do that! What I do have is a huge empty wall in our kitchen that I am dying to decorate. I thought I might drape some ribbon and hang our cards that way. I want to see them every day!
We had a ton of snow on Sunday during the Packer game, of course ! The heavy snow blocked our dish so we couldn't watch the beginning of the game. Monday we played in the snow in the mild weather. Tuesday up until now it has been so chilly in the 20's. It snowed just a bit today, very windy and cold. Saturday we are supposed to get 6-10 inches. I love snow and am so excited!

Happy Thursday, everyone!
Tomorrow is a vacation day for me. If Mr. is told not to go in for work, maybe I can talk him into going into Boston to see the "Winter Garden" at City Hall Plaza. They're supposed to have a little Christmas market this year. If Mr. has work, I still have audio work to finish.

I took a look at Amazon's daily deals yesterday, and scored a nice bargain: more than 50% off a Blue Yeti microphone. I've been wanting one of those for over a year, but they were too expensive. I'm looking forward to trying it out when it arrives!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

Elizabeth still has an awful cold, so I doubt she's going to school. Nancy was going to let her sleep late this morning and see how she feels later.

I went to town last night to get Elizabeth some egg drop soup at the Chinese place. While I was waiting on them to make our orders, I stopped by Jim's shop. He was working on a Camaro that he had recent put a super charger on. He wanted me to go for a "ride" with him on a seldom-used road. We were doing 140MPH before I knew it! I told him that was enough for me!! My heart was pumping 140MPH, too LOL!

Tonight is our office Christmas party at a locally-famous steak place on the river. I've pretty much given up red meat since my heart attack, and that's all they offer. But, that's what Russell wanted, so it's steak for me tonight!
