Good morning HMG. All my days recently have flown by, so I can really relate. Got all the gifts that I need to send out done, with just a few more locally to do. Hopefully that will be done today.
I will add my prayers for your productive week as well. Take care and I hope all is going well at your home this holiday season.

Thank you so much CGYager ~
All is well here, just super busy. 'Tis the season. Hope all is well with you and yours. Wishing you a wonderful day!!!

Good evening,

I wasn't able to be here the last two days, my wife and I were wrapping presents Friday, and of course yesterday we made our trip to New York City. It was quite an experience, but I have now scratched off the number one thing off my Christmas bucket list. Seeing the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in person. I was in awe when I saw it, smiling like a kid seeing Santa. I also bought an ornament of the Rockefeller Tree while there. We walked miles and miles up and down 5th Avenue, saw store windows, visited Macy's on 34th st. I can't believe there are 8 floors there, and every floor has its own restaurant. We went to see Santaland but the line was a 2.5 hour wait. We also went to Times Square, a bunch of shops, overpaid for food. We had a great time, but I would be happy if I never set foot again in NYC, I saw my tree, and it was everything I wanted it to be. We slept on the bus ride home, and then when we got home I slept another 9 hours uninterrupted. It was an exhausting day.
There is a snowstorm going on right now, they are predicting 3-5 inches with freezing rain in the morning, so it may be a treacherous trip into work.
Finishing up "Scrooge" (Albert Finney) right now, and then off to bed.
I hope you all had a great weekend.
Goodnight, everyone.

Have a fun day HMG and if you choose to drop, make sure there is a comfortable chair nearby... lol

Morning Martine. Looks like you and I have something in common this year... later than usual decorating. I did finish yesterday, which for me is about two weeks later than normal. Illness and "things" kept popping up to delay the process, but finally...
I hope you are feeling much better and that this week goes smoothly for you. Enjoy...

Nice to see you again in this thread CGYager. Hope you are completely over your bronchitis now. Enjoy your decorations and have a great day!

Good morning! A rainy start here after a snowy evening. Looks like we will have a decent day though as the rain is already ending as I type this. By Thursday/Friday we're going to be seeing the coldest weather of the season. Next weekend maybe some snow and rain again. Christmas weekend though is looking like it's going to be average/above average temperatures. Nothing like last year though...but still not too cold and doesn't look like we have any chance of snow for it (as of now). Have a great Monday! Last 5 day work week of the year for me.
Weather forecast can change. Wishing you snow for Christmas. Have a great day Edge.

Good Monday morning! Had a nice supper with my colleagues yesterday. One of them forgot and we ordered appetizers while we waited for him to arrive. Unfortunately one of my colleagues couldn't attend because she had to head to the hospital for her ailing husband to get more tests done. I'm keeping them in my thoughts and hope doctors can finally figure out how to help him get better once and for all. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift today. Right now I have Loki resting on my lap. Just taking it easy this a.m. Hope everyone will have a wonderful day.

Good morning MMC! Merry Monday!! WOW that COLD weekend went SO fast!

Our shopping trip on Friday was a blast! We skipped some stores we normally go too just b/c it was so cold getting in & out of the vehicle! Still, we shopped from 10:45 am until 7:30 pm...not a bad day. Went to Texas Road House for supper, then the 1 1/2 hr drive home - my friend came to our house so we could try Gracie's new Christmas pajama's on her. She just loves them...NOT! (but she looks so cute!!) :D We unloaded all my packages, watched some Christmas movies & had a couple drinks. Jim brought her home about 2 in the morning. What a day!

My nephews wedding was very nice & fun!!! We helped load up all the left over food & beer into the back of our truck after the reception....BRRRR! It was snowing like crazy & blowing!! Not sure how we got roped into that one! Ha ha! We were all singing "it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" --- and telling ourselves it wasn't cold! ;)

Mom came home yesterday! YAY! Now I hope she does well there. She looks so much better, just being at home & in real clothes. My bro & sil are still here so they stayed with her last night, but niece who is a PA also stayed last night. Hoping it all went well.

This afternoon is candy day at my sisters! It was supposed to be at Moms, but that would be too much for her! I'm hoping to leave work around 11! xx

Anyway, hope you all had a great weekend, and now a good Monday!

You're very welcome!!

Thanks so much :)

Yes! Mom is coming on Saturday afternoon, and we are making spritz cookies, having dinner, drinking a little wine, and watching Christmas movies.
On Sunday, my sister & niece are joining us and we are making cut-outs! Should be lots of fun!
My niece wanted to bake at our house so she could see my decorations and village. She has become a collector, herself!
Oh my - I hope your weekend was as wonderful as it sounds!! Love it!!
How did the cookies turn out? :) Sounds delicious!

How awesome, Holiday!!!
So excited for you!! A wonderful long weekend, ahead!
Have a wonderful time!!
xx
Thank you! It was great. Went by in a flash!

Hello Everyone! Happy Friday Eve! I just thought I would stop in before bed and take a look around. I mailed out all my International Christmas cards on Saturday and I spent a GOOD part of today working on the US list. I was also opening new cards that came in the mail today and I just have to say WOW! I love giving and getting cards! I am amazed that I never get two of a kind. I love opening a new beautiful card and showing it to my 3 year old daughter. I love reading the happy Christmas wishes, even if the card is just signed in someone's hand. I won't be able to thank everyone individually, but I will say "Thank You!" to everyone who sent me or is sending me a card! If you aren't doing the card exchange this year, no problem. Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to you too! :)
Good morning missiechick! Merry Christmas & a Blessed New Year to you too!

Happy Friday Eve, missiechick!
The card exchange is so awesome!!
This year, I did this little project so I could look at & enjoy them everyday and all season long. So fun!
You can see my little helper in the corner :) View attachment 34800

Glad that your daughter is enjoying them, too!

Have you guys been getting snow the last 3 days, too?
It's so beautiful!!!

Merry Christmas!!

:tree:

Love it snowflake! I always hang our cards around the 2 door ways in our hallway. Yours looks much prettier!! Great idea. Love the little sweetie in the picture too! :)

Merry Friday!
How have you all been? Are you all on track with Christmas prep?

I could do with a couple more weeks before the 25th. Both children have been unwell this week one after the next and Mr Festive and I are still struggling with respiratory infections. Plans last weekend to visit Santa and the christmas markets were cancelled as my youngest was very unwell.

I have had to put a pause on showing the house for the next couple of weeks. We have been having a couple showings every week with no result. It's just too overwhelming with every thing else going on. I simply can't manage it!

A whole week has passed without me watching a single christmas movie or listening to music!!!! It's going by too fast!

Have a magical day and weekend everyone!

@Holiday I have been thinking about you and your mum and praying. How is she doing?

So nice to see you Festive - so sorry to hear you have all been unwell!! Praying you all feel better quick so you can get back to watching Christmas movies & enjoying the season!! We don't have time for being sick! (((HUGS)))
Mom came home yesterday, thanks! She looks much better, but she's still very weak. I feel so bad for her!
Hope you are having a good Monday!!!

I don't use the word often, but that's an awesome tree. I'm glad you saw most of what you went to see. Great memories!

Thank you Holiday. It's a terrible virus that is sweeping through Britain.

I am glad to hear mum is home now. Bless her. I am praying that she gathers strength and health with each passing day. Hope you are managing with everything else and on track with Christmas!

Happy New Week, everyone!

This is my last day off (except weekends) until the 23rd. Time to get some wrapping done, I think. A bit of overnight snow has changed to rain, but that's fine---snow would cancel the "Scrooge" screening tonight, and I want to see how an audience likes Sir Seymour. Depending on how energetic I feel, maybe I'll make a batch of sugar cookie dough to freeze and bake later. Have a Christmassy day, all!

So glad to hear that your mother is now home :) Sounds like you had a wonderful, busy last three days. You'll have to share a picture of Gracie in her new pjs (please). Have fun making candy today.

Good morning ~
Happy Friday!
I've been up for quite some time, Maggie woke me up and I was not able to fall back asleep. My mind started racing, thinking about all that needs to be done. I finished shopping for our extended family yesterday. I'm going to take a break from shopping today to work on my Christmas cards and catch up on some chores around the house. I will concentrate on the girls gifts next week, my goal is to have them finished by the end of the week. After that I will be getting ready to host Christmas Day. Lots to do but it's all good, I love it. My husband and I will be attending a Christmas party this evening. Everyone has to wear something Christmassy, should be fun. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day. One more thing, I also need to work on my Christmas village again today. I can't seem to keep Sophia out of it this year!

I would want to live in that village too!! SO CUTE!!!
