Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good afternoon .. In the final hours until I start my Christmas Vacation Then annual bake-a-thon starts. Kids still have school all week so as soon as they are out the door tomorrow morning I will get their gifts wrapped. Their gifts are the only ones not wrapped yet. Once the wrapping is done and the gifts re-hidden, it's back to baking! Still cant believe it Christmas week already! Hope everyone is ready or is close to being ready.

I hope Your December was fabulous so far.
All is fine over here...or was....since the Terror Attack in Berlin (our Capitol) we are still in shock....but I won´t allow those cowards to spoil my joy for Christmas and let them dictate my life. We will go to the Christmas Market on Thursday or Friday.....we won´t be afraid.
Aside from the shock....we are good....Kandice´s grades in school have been excellent (I´m amazed....I was a good pupil...but not close to that), the family is fine and Christmas is close.

I wish You all a beautiful time my dear friends.

I have never made cookies and froze them. I would not be able to do that even if I wanted too .. not enough freezer space lol .. I am making some cookies where the dough has to chill first so I will make them tonight. Tonight I will also work on the ginger bread and orange cranberry pancake mixes that I am making for my baskets.

I have never made cookies and froze them. I would not be able to do that even if I wanted too .. not enough freezer space lol .. I am making some cookies where the dough has to chill first so I will make them tonight. Tonight I will also work on the ginger bread and orange cranberry pancake mixes that I am making for my baskets.

Lol...thats the same problem I have Minta. Chest freezer was already full before I started cookies. So I had to weed out the junk from fridge freezer to make room. I only make a few that can handle freezing nicely. The rest of them are made 2 days before Christmas.

trackrebel very saddened to read about what happened in Berlin. But I commend you for planning to go the Christmas market and not let hatred win. Have a great few days leading up to Christmas. Fröhliche Weihnachten! (I remember only a few words from the German courses I took in college but of course I would remember Merry Christmas ).

Sounds like some GREAT days!!! I'm still shocked by Christmas being THIS weekend too. Where did the time go?!?!

It may be basic but I know a lot of people will agree with me when I say that you make it fun and interesting all year to be on this thread and website. Thanks for a great year so far and yet we still have those very few best days of the year to come!

Please say a little prayer for my Mom (again!) This morning she had a rapid heart rate & shortness of breath. Now she is vomiting! Home health nurse to come at 3pm! Oh how I hate this for her! Poor lady!! Can't seem to catch a break!

Busy day. Mom had her disability hearing this morning. The lawyer said he think it went good but you never know for sure. Should get the decision in 60 to 90 days.

My niece is sick too and stayed home. Her dad watched her this morning but had to be at work at noon. So we left the federal building and came right out here to babysit her this afternoon.

Then I have to go pick up my aunt from work since I'm using her car today because mine decided to act up yesterday.

Hopefully things will settle down tonight.

We'll be getting a lot of snow as well but temps will warm up. Stay safe in that storm. I'm sorry to hear about Harlowe having rough nights. Hoping your cardiologist can provide quick answers and some relief, poor little Har. Enjoy your upcoming weekend.

Ours has finally hit today, enjoying the sunshine too. So nice not to be -17 degrees any longer.

Thank you, it has been a rough few weeks, emotionally and physically. She still has trouble every night, some worse than others. None of us are sleeping very much. Her cardiologist suggested I take her off the medicine, see how it goes for a week. If there's improvement, then put her back on it to see how she does-if she has trouble again, we will concur it is a bad reaction to the medicine. However, it's not typical. I'm worried about other diseases, and cognitive function. Breaks my heart to see her this way. I have scheduled an appointment with her regular vet for Friday, so she can examine her.

Keeping Harlowe in my thoughts. I will be praying <3

Good morning MMC!!! Merry Christmas week Monday!!!!

We had a very nice weekend - though I have come down with a bug. It started Friday night at Moms. Stuffy nose, runny nose, coughing, cow sitting on my chest kind of thing....but we still had a GREAT weekend with friends! No time for being sick. I warned everyone who came to our house or who we were going to be with & offered to stay away but they all said they are dealing with the same thing at their homes, so it doesn't matter. My brother was just here at work & he said he started with it Friday too. YUCK! Today is my last day for this. I'm going to be 100% tomorrow!
Friday night I made all kinds of goodies at Moms, also got up her Christmas decs - great night...and then poof - the icks started about 10pm! Saturday we made cookies at our house. Yesterday was Christmas at the in-laws & we met up with friends later. It all went so fast! I am SO looking forward to having next week off work!!! This morning would have been the perfect morning to stay in PJ's, curled up in a soft blankey & watching The Polar Express!! Guess I'll have to wait til next week for that!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

As I've read several others say, this weekend was crazy! Shopping, eating driving, shopping...whew! We did go to see the Savannah Philharmonic's Christmas concert on Saturday, and it was awesome!

I just wish the temperature would drop a bit. It was 82° yesterday! And it's predicted to be 75° on Christmas day. Oh well. That's Christmas in the south.

"'Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house, the A/C was running, 'cause we live in the south!"

Happy Monday! I worked all day and have to be back at 630 in the am. Carolina is in bed and sound aslerp already so I am going to get some more wrapping done. A couple gifts can't be brought home until Christmas eve because they can't be wrapped. They are at my cousins in the garage so Carolina won't see them. Have a great night in case I don't get back tonight
