Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good evening,

The kittens are doing well tonight, very sleepy and very affectionate. The meds they were on finally wore off, and they have crashed all evening.
Slow moving day at work. Tomorrow is probably more of the same.
It is amazing how fast our Disney trip is coming, 3 weeks and a day, starting to get really excited.

Good Morning christmas friends...Hope everyone is all well today...Busy day ahead for me as my girls are having 6 friends over for dinner/sleepover today to celebrate their birthday...They are 6 years old today..I am going to bake pancakes for when they come home from school...Enjoy your day ahead christmas friends

Good Friday morning! I am glad to be starting a three-day weekend, felt I really needed it. My in-laws arrived in Hawaii yesterday and therefore we are on duty to take care of their birds and plants. They'll avoid the really cold temperatures coming our way, lucky them.

Yesterday at work I had the huge surprise of receiving a call from Iran! An employee had asked for a leave of absence in December to go see her ailing father. She had sent me a few emails since leaving, to check in and give us some news. I never expected her to call us at work. Her father has good days and bad days. It's such a difficult situation for her, she's their only child and very close to her father so she had to go, but she has her children here at home and is feeling torn. We have a lot of immigrants working at our store and I am amazed at what they have gone through and how they left family behind to start a new life. I won't even move to a different province because I don't want to be too far from my family, I can't even imagine moving to a different continent.

I'm just waiting for David to be done with his physio. It will likely be his last appointment, his physiotherapist says she'll give her ok for him to start working again on Tuesday. He has to see his doctor first on Monday and then he should be all set. I'm really happy for him, the physio has made a world of difference. Soon as he gets home, it's off to the in-laws and then running a few errands. Have a great day everyone!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

It's finally cooler this morning, as evidenced by a thick coat of frost on my windshield. I like it!

Not much happening today. I plan to have lunch with mom & my brother. Later tonight I plan to go to that auction with him. Maybe his luck will rub off on me, and I'll find an awesome deal, too!

Morning Edge. Made it here too, but I still have two more night shifts to go and then nine days off. That is when my house will return to the post-Christmas look (well most of it anyway). Got to get the place ready for Superbowl Sunday, when I will do my best to accomplish absolutely... nothing!

TGIF MMC! Made it to another Friday already. Not so bad huh? Looking forward to the weekend even though I am taking my tree down. Looks like we will have a normal weekend with temps instead of above normal like it's been the last couple of weeks. We may get a little bit of snow next week as February enters. Hope everyone has a great Friday!

My tree will come down - might start Sunday. Or might wait til Monday. Haven't decided just yet! But I want it to be down b/f we leave on vaca. (Still lovin it)

Good Morning, Hilariously Hysteric Holiday Humans Hoping Hard for High Happiness.

And nothing could make us more Hilariously Happy that the latest exciting news from the Countdown chart!
But first a word from the Data Department.

Days to the Season: 290
Days to Christmas Day: 332

Now, for the Hilariously Happy news:
As of today, we are down to just 16 days until 2017 Milestone marker number two arrives on February 12, the ONE QUARTER point to the season!
(Don't know about you, but I can barely stand this much hilarity.)


Well, our final warm day passed without incident yesterday and this morning has dawned chilly at 37 degrees. It will only get colder from here and we are facing lows in the 20's shortly. Not uncommon for January here, but it comes as a bit of a system shock after such a long unseasonably warm period.
(The weather service is even talking snow flurries.)

Thank you soo much Holiday...Girls got up mighty early this morning so hoping they will be too tired tonite to have any jumping about (I doubt that though lol )...You know me better than i know myself lol...Yes the wine is chilling in the fridge on standby incase i do get stressed out lol...

I just wanted to say a special thank you to everyone who posted words of comfort and support and for coming to my side when I needed it most. We are doing our best at the moment to cope with our loss. Working through our grief and just trying very hard to accept. It's our second time losing a baby so lots of emotions resurfacing along with new.

I feel bad for putting this here on the countdown. I know it's the last thing people want to read but just wanted to say thank you for the posts and prayers. They mean a lot to me.

Praying all is well with you all.

I'm happy you checked in so we can give you extra (((HUGS))) Never feel bad about chatting with us in good or bad times!! Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers.

Good Morning, MMC!! Well we are off to a snowy icy start here in Central Indy. There's not much out there, just enough to make it slick and pretty. I was going to go car shopping tomorrow but I may hold off another week if its going to be like this. Just in case the weathermen are wrong though, I'll probably spend today scouring all of the dealer websites looking to see who has the best deals on used cars. I hope everyone is having a Great Day!!!

Good morning MMC!!! Happy FRIDAY!!!!

Not much to report this morning! The home health nurse was at moms yesterday. She was impressed with moms improvements! She told Emma the last time she had seen mom, she didn't think she would ever recover, so she was happy to see how far mom has come! Every day we hold our breath & pray things keep going smooth...xx
