good evening MMC !

spring has arrived it seems, but being Feburary, that is very deceptive. We usually do not have this kind of weather until the end of March. But for now, we will enjoy it.

Cooking ham and scalloped potatoes for supper and it is smelling very good in here. Happy to be able to cook as we had power out for a good chunk of the day. Have not hear why yet.

Hope you all have a great evening !

Hope you're doing well snowflake22, as well as little Harlowe and Adrian. There's still time for the forecast to change before Friday. Enjoy the remainder of your Sunday.
Thanks, Martine.
Hope you're doing well, too!
Hugs to you & Loki.
We are doing pretty well, Har's dental surgery is this week so I'm a bit nervous but hopeful and praying.
Have a blessed night~

Good evening,

Magic Kingdom was a good time, but soooo many people. We made sure we hit the classic rides, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain... we didn't have enough time to see Tomorrowland, so we will be sure to visit one more time before time is up. Tomorrow it will either be EPCOT, or Hollywood Studios, depending how the rest of our party votes.
Just enjoying the quiet now while everyone is sleeping, my anxiety was quite ramped up because of all of the rude people, and the driving here.
Goodnight, everyone

Good Morning MMC members. Been about two weeks since I was on here and quite a lot has been going on. My wife had to go to the ER twice and what they thought might be internal organ failure and possibly some mental breakdown, eventually turned out to be way, way too much pain medication. The doctor in the ER the 2nd time said he could not believe this much was being prescribed. So, she went on short-term disability to get with her regular doctor and sort things figured out. The short end to this story (for now) is that she has been removed from most of her meds. The good and bad... good: is that her vital organs and mental capacities are back to where they are suppose to be and the bad: like any person coming off narcotics, she is going through some withdrawals , which include cramps, tired, lack of energy, etc. Her doctor told her that this was just something she was going to have to get through and that due to her age, it could take between 30-45 days to clear out of her system.
She has definitely been through a lot more that I have ever seen in my 62+ years. Then our daughter Amber was notified that her grandfather (on her biological Dad's side) was near death from cancer. Naturally she wanted to get to California right away to see him before he passed. We managed to get her out there on the 8th and he passed away on the 10th. She is currently extending her time to arrange and attend the funeral. Which also means we (Connie and I) have to care for her ever growing bird family. I do not mind putting in the extra time to help either, as these things happen and all we can do sometimes is be there for our family and assist where we can. But it does tend to wear you out a little, especially still holding onto a 40+ hour per week job.
Fortunately, the weather here has been very nice and will continue for the next few days. I'm not sure where the record for this time of year is, but we have been in the 50's and 60's for the past eight days and no drop to freezing until this Friday. So I did get some of the yard cleaned up yesterday and will try to get some more today. Since Winter does not end until March 20th, I am still a little wary.
That's about all for now, I have not had the chance to catch up with all the posts, but I trust everyone is doing well. For those in the recent bad weather areas, I pray no one suffered any loss or problems due to the weather. Have a Magnificent Monday...

Sorry to hear about the tough things you're going through CG. Glad to see you back as always though!

Happy President's Day MMC! Not a holiday for me but if you are off enjoy it. Just another Monday at work but this is my "slow week" of the month aka catch up on little things before things get really busy the next 2 weeks. I actually finally could be as caught up by the end of this week as I've been since before Thanksgiving. I hope everyone has a good Monday and thinks about the fact that without Monday we wouldn't appreciate Friday!

Thanks Edge. Good to be back. Yes, things have been a little on the tough side, but I know many of our MMC friends have been through some of the same hard times these past few months. We always seem to get through better with the support of each other.

years ago my dad went through a simiar event. He was prescibed to many drugs too, they stopped them and he went through a rough time of withdrawal, it was just as hard on mom. My prayers are with you both. ((((HUGS))))

Good morning MMC, Happy Presidents Day. My two youngest get to sleep in today since there aren't any classes. My oldest is staying home from work because she's sick again. It's been one thing after another for her since Christmas time. She's going to the doctor later, I hope she doesn't have the flu. She's supposed to work a 12 hour shift tomorrow, I can't see that happening. Her boss isn't going to be too happy if she doesn't make it in. I'll have to be sure she gets a doctors note. Typical day for me, I have to run a few errands and I'll be working on my daily chores. That's about it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Greetings Christmasstar. Thank you for the well wishes. As tough as it can be for individual moments on my part, I try to remember how much tougher it is on her. Especially when you think that if not for being over prescribed to begin with, she would not be going through this. But we will both make it with God's help.

Good Morning, New-Weekers.

A new week means that this is the first day of the rest of our count.
(And this one will see us almost to the next Milestone marker!)

Days to the Season: 266
Days to Christmas Day: 308

Eight days left now -- ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW -- that's when we will arrive at the 300-day Christmas Day Window and begin a 200's level count to Christmas Day 2017, joining our Christmas Season 2017 count which has been in the "2"'s for quite some time now. A DOUBLE-200's count!

Well, these wonderful days keep piling up. Almost nice enough to pitch a hammock and take a snooze out under the trees.
How much longer will it last? Well, on into this week, at least.
And hey. We will take everything we can get!
At this hour, we stand just under 48 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Christmas Fans!

Believe it or not we have you beat at this hour even in the upper mid-west. Currently 53 and looking for a high of 64. Have a great Monday Crown.

My prayers for your family HMG. I know about those bosses. You get too many in a rolling six month period at Wally World and you are out the door. Take care. Did you know dogs do practical jokes?
