Good morning MMC! Happy Monday! Everybody ready to start the new week?

We have fog here this morning. Just as I'm typing this, it looks like the sun is going to try to pop out!
What a beautiful weekend. TOO beautiful!!! It's still February, we know it can't be here to stay!! We spent A LOT of time on our patio, even brought our patio furniture back out! Crazy!! But I totally enjoyed it!! I'm just hoping we don't get snow again in April!! All of our trees & shrubs are budding out. My tulips & daffs are popping through the ground like crazy. They will be so confused when the temps freeze again.

Everyone, have as good of a Monday as you possibly can!! :)

Happy Friday!!! We are supposed to be up in the mid 60s all weekend. Perfect time to get some pre-spring yard work done. Maybe if it gets warm enough I can shut off the heater for a bit to open the windows to air out the house.

Have a great day!

We had windows open every day this weekend. It was great!!!

Good Morning MMC members. Been about two weeks since I was on here and quite a lot has been going on. My wife had to go to the ER twice and what they thought might be internal organ failure and possibly some mental breakdown, eventually turned out to be way, way too much pain medication. The doctor in the ER the 2nd time said he could not believe this much was being prescribed. So, she went on short-term disability to get with her regular doctor and sort things figured out. The short end to this story (for now) is that she has been removed from most of her meds. The good and bad... good: is that her vital organs and mental capacities are back to where they are suppose to be and the bad: like any person coming off narcotics, she is going through some withdrawals , which include cramps, tired, lack of energy, etc. Her doctor told her that this was just something she was going to have to get through and that due to her age, it could take between 30-45 days to clear out of her system.
She has definitely been through a lot more that I have ever seen in my 62+ years. Then our daughter Amber was notified that her grandfather (on her biological Dad's side) was near death from cancer. Naturally she wanted to get to California right away to see him before he passed. We managed to get her out there on the 8th and he passed away on the 10th. She is currently extending her time to arrange and attend the funeral. Which also means we (Connie and I) have to care for her ever growing bird family. I do not mind putting in the extra time to help either, as these things happen and all we can do sometimes is be there for our family and assist where we can. But it does tend to wear you out a little, especially still holding onto a 40+ hour per week job.
Fortunately, the weather here has been very nice and will continue for the next few days. I'm not sure where the record for this time of year is, but we have been in the 50's and 60's for the past eight days and no drop to freezing until this Friday. So I did get some of the yard cleaned up yesterday and will try to get some more today. Since Winter does not end until March 20th, I am still a little wary.
That's about all for now, I have not had the chance to catch up with all the posts, but I trust everyone is doing well. For those in the recent bad weather areas, I pray no one suffered any loss or problems due to the weather. Have a Magnificent Monday...

Wow. Bless your heart, I had no idea you and your family were dealing with such difficulties. Sending prayers for all of you right now.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

No holiday here at work, or for Nancy. Too bad, it's a beautiful day. Elizabeth doesn't have school, but Jacob does. Luckily, I get to eat lunch with my beautiful daughter!

We spent the day Saturday going to different dress shops looking for a prom dress (that still leaves a bad taste in my mouth). Well, I spent the day driving Elizabeth and Nancy around, while they shopped. I did find a shop that sold only grilling and smoking accessories. I bought some hand-chipped mesquite wood, and some butt rub. I liked that place!

I'm back at my desk trying to remember what I was doing before I left Friday. It's tough getting older!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

I started watching a documentary called "The History of The Eagles". It is absolutely riveting, but I love that behind-the-scenes kind of stuff. If you decide to watch it, note that Part 2 is after the credits of Part 1, so don't stop it when it rolls credit.

Morning Holiday. Same thing is happening here in SD as well. Almost feel like putting down some grass seed, but I will hold off for another month or two. Deck furniture is still under the cover and I think I'll leave it there for now. Have a great day...

Morning Brad. That stuff brings back memories, but luckily I'm getting to the age where I can have selective memory... lol.
Grilled the other night and may do the same tonight. I know it's going to be chicken, a vegetable & rice side with some summer squash. just a matter of how I fix the poultry.
Enjoy your day...

Good Friday evening! I was so happy for the weekend to get here and to have two days off but I'll have to go in for half a day tomorrow to train some new hires, because my colleague who would have done it is sick. I must admit that I am quite unhappy about having to work tomorrow. I think I need a vacation. Hope you will all enjoy a great weekend!
Hope your day at work went better than expected & you enjoyed a nice weekend!!

Good evening,

I am still awake, my alarm will be going off in about 4.5 hours to get up to get to the airport. It is almost as exciting as waiting for Santa.
When we get to Florida it will be an adjustment day, it will be 22*f when we leave here, and 70*f when we land in FLA.
On a sad note, today my sister called me and told me my cousin took his own life the other night, it was a shock to hear that. We were the same age and in the same graduation class, I lived with him and his family after my mother passed, so we were like brothers growing up. The last time I saw him was Christmas 1994, he lived in Germany for a number of years, and then Florida. I will miss him. RIP MJP

Goodnight, everyone
I am so sorry to hear about your cousin! I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers.

I hope you are all having a great time in FLA!!

Thursday was a sad day for me.

As a little boy, I loved Christmas and I loved getting my family Christmas presents. Department 56 started the North Pole series with a Santa House, Elves House, and Reindeeer barn. I bought that for my Mom when I was in the 3rd grade. Each year since, I have bought my Mom one of these houses. She was always so proud of them and I can't tell you the amount of time I would stare at them each Christmas season. It filled my heart with joy to be able to do the same thing for my kids.

When she came home Thursday, the shelf that held all of her houses we had bought for her over the years, 100+, fell off the wall. No houses made it. Talk about breaking my heart....
Oh nooooooooo! I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm sure that was quite a shock for your mom to see!!!

A quick hello to my MMC friends. Been having computer problems of late and even though it says I have been on here, nothing would load until today. Today sites are loading great.

It is a beautiful day out. Working on store stuff. According to the mall owner, all the vendors are having low sales. Hopefully the great weather (60*F) will bring out the shoppers.

Keeping all of you in my prayers!

Have a Merry day, friends!!
Hope you all had a great sales & all around weekend M!

Good Morning, New-Weekers.

A new week means that this is the first day of the rest of our count.
(And this one will see us almost to the next Milestone marker!)

Days to the Season: 266
Days to Christmas Day: 308

Eight days left now -- ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW -- that's when we will arrive at the 300-day Christmas Day Window and begin a 200's level count to Christmas Day 2017, joining our Christmas Season 2017 count which has been in the "2"'s for quite some time now. A DOUBLE-200's count!

Well, these wonderful days keep piling up. Almost nice enough to pitch a hammock and take a snooze out under the trees.
How much longer will it last? Well, on into this week, at least.
And hey. We will take everything we can get!
At this hour, we stand just under 48 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Christmas Fans!
Thanks Crown. Approaching a long stretch with the 200's.

Merry Sunday, MMC!!

It's a beautiful, sunny 61° here in Wisconsin. I'm sure we're breaking records. Enjoying it while we can.
Snow and ice are coming back on Friday, potentially 9 inches.

Hope you're all having a beautiful day with your loved ones ~
Hugs & prayers.

It's so easy to get use to these warm temps!!!!

good evening MMC !

spring has arrived it seems, but being Feburary, that is very deceptive. We usually do not have this kind of weather until the end of March. But for now, we will enjoy it.

Cooking ham and scalloped potatoes for supper and it is smelling very good in here. Happy to be able to cook as we had power out for a good chunk of the day. Have not hear why yet.

Hope you all have a great evening !
Isn't that the truth!!
Hope you enjoyed the ham & taters. Have a good Monday!

My goodness! (((HUGS))) I hope things start to turn around for you all now. Prayers being sent your way!!

Happy President's Day MMC! Not a holiday for me but if you are off enjoy it. Just another Monday at work but this is my "slow week" of the month aka catch up on little things before things get really busy the next 2 weeks. I actually finally could be as caught up by the end of this week as I've been since before Thanksgiving. I hope everyone has a good Monday and thinks about the fact that without Monday we wouldn't appreciate Friday!
Happy Presidents Day! No day off for me either! Hope you have a good day at work!

Good morning MMC, Happy Presidents Day. My two youngest get to sleep in today since there aren't any classes. My oldest is staying home from work because she's sick again. It's been one thing after another for her since Christmas time. She's going to the doctor later, I hope she doesn't have the flu. She's supposed to work a 12 hour shift tomorrow, I can't see that happening. Her boss isn't going to be too happy if she doesn't make it in. I'll have to be sure she gets a doctors note. Typical day for me, I have to run a few errands and I'll be working on my daily chores. That's about it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
Hope your oldest is feeling better quick! There is so much going around. I had a cold over the weekend again. Jim has been coughing for a week - getting better now. My sis said her belly doesn't feel right AGAIN this morning. Another sis has a sinus infection. The weather has just been too warm this winter = too many bugs!
Hope you have a good day HMG!
