And now it's the last full week of February. Didn't February just start? The month has been a blur.

Merry Tuesday!
It's going to be a cloudy day with a high of 44, we're currently at 28 degrees. Not too much going on here, I just need to run to the supermarket to pick up a few things. I want to make my daughter a pot of chicken soup. I'm so glad she got the day off so she could stay in bed and rest. Hopefully she'll be on the mend soon. My parents are stopping by later this afternoon so I'm also going to stop at the bakery while I'm out to get them some goodies. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Morning HMG. We will do a little better than that at a high of 56 today. Getting ready to start another work week and had a nice morning Bible study at 6AM. Going to hit the sack around 1PM and get up in time to fix a breakfast/dinner for the little lady of the house. Keeping your family in my prayers and have a great time with your parents today.

Morning! Hope everyone who had off yesterday enjoyed it. Looks like our "chilliest" day of the week is today but temperatures will still be above normal for this time of year. At least now the average temperatures are on the rise every few days by a degree or so. Definitely notice it being lighter out also. Hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday and has a great day!

Greetings Edge. Temps are still above normal here as well, but that will change at least for a few days at the end of this week. Maybe even a touch of snow (the bulk of it seems to be below us). Got some raking done, so that's just less when Spring finally does appear. Other than that, yesterday was just my normal day off. Got in some quality TV time with Connie, as we have a few shows we record to watch together (last night was the Flash). Have a fun Tuesday and remember what is on the horizon...

Good Tuesday morning! Very sunny but very cold here this morning. It will warm up though and we'll have some very warm days again this week. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift today and tomorrow, so right now I'm doing some laundry and relaxing. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Howdy Martine. Sunnt here as well and even the shady places where the ice loves to hang around are dry now. Of course "Old Man Winter" may not be through yet, but it is nice to see him take a vacation now and then.

Days to Christmas Day: 307

Yes, my Friends. One, lone, solitary, isolated week from today, we will throw open the 300-day Christmas Day Window and begin our journey through the double 200's, which will actually last for less than two months, at which point our Season count will pass below 200 into 100's territory.
(And you KNOW things will just start to begin accelerating at that point!)


Well, I don't know what we have done right here in the capital city, but Mother Nature is still feeling the need to reward us.
The beautiful weather just keeps coming, and coming, and.......
When will it end? (It will eventually, you know) But for now, we will accept all that she is willing to offer!
Currently, we have commenced our day here in Raleigh at 47 degrees.

Really?? Laura has about six or eight buds starting, too! Sometimes that happens in April, but never before in February. Maybe they can sense the mild weather even though they're indoors.

Morning MMC friends. This morning saw me rise around 2:15AM. But that's okay, as it will help me to catch a few Zzzzzzzs this afternoon before another shift at "Sam's Place". Joined a few other men for a Tuesday morning Bible study at one of the finer morning eateries here in Sioux Falls... Le Burger King. Not much else going on, the wife and I are going to get a few seeds planted inside for transplant in the Spring. Our daughter will be coming home from California tomorrow.
Other than that, just enjoying the unseasonable (but welcome) weather. Only 24 days until I am Irish again...

This is the 4th time Jackie has bloomed since April 2016! Seems like 1/2 blooms, then the other 1/2 blooms. They take turns! Maybe they do sense the milder weather!?

My friend just sent me pictures of the seeds she started this morning! So exciting. I better get my seed order in!

Good Morning MMC members. Been about two weeks since I was on here and quite a lot has been going on. My wife had to go to the ER twice and what they thought might be internal organ failure and possibly some mental breakdown, eventually turned out to be way, way too much pain medication. The doctor in the ER the 2nd time said he could not believe this much was being prescribed. So, she went on short-term disability to get with her regular doctor and sort things figured out. The short end to this story (for now) is that she has been removed from most of her meds. The good and bad... good: is that her vital organs and mental capacities are back to where they are suppose to be and the bad: like any person coming off narcotics, she is going through some withdrawals , which include cramps, tired, lack of energy, etc. Her doctor told her that this was just something she was going to have to get through and that due to her age, it could take between 30-45 days to clear out of her system.
She has definitely been through a lot more that I have ever seen in my 62+ years. Then our daughter Amber was notified that her grandfather (on her biological Dad's side) was near death from cancer. Naturally she wanted to get to California right away to see him before he passed. We managed to get her out there on the 8th and he passed away on the 10th. She is currently extending her time to arrange and attend the funeral. Which also means we (Connie and I) have to care for her ever growing bird family. I do not mind putting in the extra time to help either, as these things happen and all we can do sometimes is be there for our family and assist where we can. But it does tend to wear you out a little, especially still holding onto a 40+ hour per week job.
Fortunately, the weather here has been very nice and will continue for the next few days. I'm not sure where the record for this time of year is, but we have been in the 50's and 60's for the past eight days and no drop to freezing until this Friday. So I did get some of the yard cleaned up yesterday and will try to get some more today. Since Winter does not end until March 20th, I am still a little wary.
That's about all for now, I have not had the chance to catch up with all the posts, but I trust everyone is doing well. For those in the recent bad weather areas, I pray no one suffered any loss or problems due to the weather. Have a Magnificent Monday...

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

No holiday here at work, or for Nancy. Too bad, it's a beautiful day. Elizabeth doesn't have school, but Jacob does. Luckily, I get to eat lunch with my beautiful daughter!

We spent the day Saturday going to different dress shops looking for a prom dress (that still leaves a bad taste in my mouth). Well, I spent the day driving Elizabeth and Nancy around, while they shopped. I did find a shop that sold only grilling and smoking accessories. I bought some hand-chipped mesquite wood, and some butt rub. I liked that place!

I'm back at my desk trying to remember what I was doing before I left Friday. It's tough getting older!

Merry Tuesday! I was off yesterday but did not have too much of an eventful day. I got a flat tire on Sunday night so I ended up getting 2 new tires because my other back one needed to be replaced anyway. Back to work today but looking forward to warmer temps this week. Hope you all have a good day!
BTW- I saw 2 houses still lit up. One has full out decorations and the other one had a little tree on their porch with white lights.
Also, a person on my street that was decorated for Valentine's Day has moved onto St. Patty's Day. They have green shamrocks hanging from their porch and green lights...definitely festive!

A Happy Tuesday to you. Nice to have that extra day off, even if it meant going to get new tires. Still have the "lights" up at my abode. I'll try to get a pic and post it. I also love the "wearin' O' the green"... one year at work, I pinned a very small leprechaun plush to my shoulder for the day.

Merry Tuesday!! How fun to see all the festive houses!!! We still have some with white lights on little tree's on the front porch...though I think they are normally up most or all of the year.
My friend is all decked out for patty's day. I like to look when I drive past her house too. So fun!
