Lol..thats about all some of them have going for them Holiday, is the scenery. It just seems like its the same old rehashed plot lines. Idk..maybe there has been so many made a totally new storyline is impossible.?
:p :D It might be true, but I love 'um!! :D I just have to watch! I love happy endings! :)

That's what caller ID is for. If it is important they'll leave a message. We rarely have to pick up the phone at home.
The sneaky companies can spoof their caller I.D. number and make it look like its a regular company. The "The Do Not Call" list barely ever worked and the gov't left so many loopholes they got around.

We're a pretty forgiving office here. We can leave any time for anything, as long as we let someone know we're gone. So, yes, as soon as I get the call, I'm gone! ;)
That makes me -smile-

Yes! People in our town got a solicitor call from my boss' home phone number. My boss & family weren't even home at the time. My boss called the phone company & he was told the solicitors can make almost any # pop up on caller ID & there's really no way to catch them.
My hubby also got a call (local number) a few weeks ago, from a guy saying his (my hubby's) cell number was being used by a solicitor. What a crock!

Everyone have a fantastic evening! I was hoping to get a walk in after work - I might have to walk inside...that darn wind. And it's so dreary now! At least we got to see some sun for a couple hours this afternoon! See you tomorrow!

Two of my favorite old Christmas novels are in the public domain (circa 1910 to 1914), and either of them could be modernized into a WONDERFUL Hallmark/Lifetime type movie. Wish I knew a screenwriter that I could put on the job! Each has a plot "hook" that I have never seen used before.

The ones that get me are the plots where they keep reliving Christmas Day until they get it right. I swear I saw 4 different movies like this last year. They were all decent flicks but...idk...it was just kinda to much of the same theme.

Thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts for Lulu.

I took her to the vet this morning, and she was crying so loudly as they took her from me to the back. :( They did an X-Ray and found her bladder had a lot of stones that were preventing her from emptying, so while she was sedated they asked for permission to do the surgery. About an hour later, it was done and she was in recovery. They insist on keeping her overnight, though, and they won't let me visit her. They say it will agitate her too much if I visit but don't take her with me. They're probably right, but I already miss her.

Holding my breath until tomorrow!

You and Lulu have been in my thoughts. I hope the surgery went well and she is resting comfortably tonight. I hope you get to bring her home tomorrow. I will continue to keep Lulu in my prayers <3

Morning MMC! Into midweek now and we are predicted to have a nice weather day for April. Rain is on the way though once again for Thursday and even some leftover showers on Friday. The weekend looks pretty nice as Saturday it's supposed to clear and Sunday warm up into the 60s with sunshine. Had to bring my coworker to work yesterday since his car had some problems. That's one thing I do not miss about having an older car. Have a great day!

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Pines Day!
It's going to be a nice day, partly sunny with highs around 60 degrees. Maggie has a groomer appointment this morning. I'll probably run a couple of quick errands while she's there. I'll have to take her for a walk in her stroller later this afternoon so we can enjoy the nice weather. Other than that I'll just be working on my daily chores today. Dinner will be spaghetti and chicken Parmesan. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Good Morning, Folks.

Our next pair of Milestones approaches.
Keep reading to stay informed and to avoid being taken by surprise!

First up -- today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 222
Days to Christmas Day: 264

They say forewarned is forearmed.
As such, be warned that a binary set of Milestones is rapidly approaching.
1) The ONE-THIRD mark to Christmas is scheduled to arrive 3 weeks from today.
2) The 200-day Season Window will arrive 3 weeks from tomorrow.
(A once-a-year appearance of BACK TO BACK Milestones!)

Much warmer yesterday, and we topped the 80 degree mark by afternoon.
The previous day's rain disappeared and we had plenty of sun, along with a few stiff breezes.
Today should be quite warm as well before cooler temperatures return for tomorrow.
Currently, our back door thermometer informs me that it is 59 degrees outside.

I hear that Carl has gone all out at the 'Pines this week with a truly spectacular display of flowers in honor of approaching Easter.
(Of course, next Wednesday will be Carl's annual 'Pines Easter Egg roll on the lodge's front lawn, with hidden surprises awaiting lucky participants.)
Hope to see everyone there.

In the meantime, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everybody!

Good morning MMC !

It is going to be a lovely day here, which is great since I have to go to kitchener and pick up supplies at my favorite cake shop.
Bradmac, how is Lulu this morning?

I made a batch of focaccia bread this morning. i have been working on a recipe for small batches of bread for those who live alone or just do not want to bake a large loaf of bread. Finally got this one worked out and it is really good. Makes enough for 4 servings so you can use it before it gets stale. (home made bread goes stale in only 2 days since it contains no preservatives)

so, need to get ready t go, have to pick up my girls first and get some gas. You all have a great day!
see you at the pines tonight !!

Good morning MMC!!! Merry Pines Day!!!

We have a dreary/spitting rain kind of morning going on. They keep talking about strong storms later today & this evening. Hope that all misses us! Poor Gracie - I didn't let the basement door open for her! :(

@Bradmac I hope you & lulu had a great day & she is home very soon!!

Not much new going on today. Had a busy night last night. I had to rescue Emma & Alice from Walmart after work. Alice drove Emma to a party yesterday, & her car wouldn't start in the Walmart parking lot. After I got home I cut out & baked 103 sugar cookies for my nieces dessert table for her wedding. I also made the icing for them - Emma is going to icing them for me - very nice! :D I still need to do another batch though! I did some laundry & I made taco's for supper. I could not believe it when I looked at my Fitbit & it said it was 11:09pm - I had NO IDEA it was that late! Darn it! And here we are back at work already!!!

And by the way - Happy National Walking Day! I joined the "Great Walk Challenge" - starts today! Eek!
th

Everyone, have a great day!!!! See you tonight at the Pines!
