Happy Pines Day! Rollins woke me up at 2 a.m. to someone screaming outside down a few blocks on the main road. It was kind of creepy actually something you'd hear out of a horror movie. Then 5 minutes later you heard it again out of nowhere. It was very weird. Maybe someone drunk. It's a very quiet town so you never hear that kind of noise in the middle of the night like that. Of course then going back to sleep was a challenge. Other than that just another day at work and already starting to eye the 3 day bday weekend. Have a great one!
That's a little freaky! I hope it was nothing!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

We made it back from Jacksonville with no problems yesterday. It rained on me the whole trip down there, but the lunch was awesome. We ate at The Metro Diner that was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, and they have obviously prospered from the publicity. It was packed!

It's still overcast and rainy here, but at least the temperature has moderated into the 80's.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good afternoon .. another chilly overcast day here. Last evening was so chilly (the rain didn't help) that I had to close the windows. It really felt like fall. I think we will have one more chilly day before we start warming up and they are hinting at heat wave next week. Amazing how we can go from the highs in the upper 60s/low 70s to the 90s in a matter of days.

Have a great day!

Hello all,

Another lazy day here. It is nice and cool today, so the windows and doors are open, and candles are burning. It feels like early fall. The temperatures have been great so far, but change is on the way. By the end of the upcoming weekend they are saying it will be in the 90s! YUCK! I cannot explain how much I hate the heat. Oh well, not my I can do about it, so I will stay indoors in the air conditioning most of the time. But for now, I am enjoying the cool weather.

Last night I was sitting on the couch in the living room and I could hear what I thought was a scene from the Grinch movie. So I got up and walked to Henry's room, and guess what? He was sitting on his bed holding the ipod with the Grinch movie playing! I of course smiled and joined him watching the movie. Before long our cat jumped and and laid on the bed too. What a great kid! Christmas is all year for him.:D

I cant stand the heat especially coupled with high humidity .. those days really make me long for the cool autumn weather.

Must have been something in the air last night as my son was listening to and singing along to his polar express cd last night :)

Hello everyone,

I have pretty much taken a sabbatical from MMC lately, too much going on in my life to make daily visits. My wife and I are trying to save our marriage, we actually decided it was over nearly 3 weeks ago after being together for 18 years. We talked a little more after we decided it was over we are still together as of now, holding on for dear life everyday. We have grown apart, and we're seemingly only together for the kids, but we started talking again and that is why I have not been here, trying to spend more time with her instead of online. If you know me on Facebook, please don't say anything about it, very few people know we almost split. I only have told 3 people, my boss, my second in charge in my area, and my best friend. It has been a trying time, I haven't cried this much in years, we are looking into counseling to figure this out.
I think about MMC daily, but just haven't been feeling Christmassy enough to visit when I have had time to pop in.
I hope you all are doing well, I miss you all and hope to spend more time here in the future.

Ron

Sorry to hear that you and the wife are going thru that. I can relate its been a tough few months for similar reasons. So don't be a stranger if you need a fellow to talk with that is going thru the same thing let me know. The only positive thing you mentioned is looking to do counseling and hope that talking it out can help mend and build the bridges that might have gotten a little rough.

So awfully sorry to hear this. At least you're able to talk together about it, so some line of communication is open. Do try the counseling and/or sit down with your clergy. I hope things will work out in a way that's best for everyone. Praying.

CIJ activities are being planned :

July 1- forum: To bedazzle or not?
July 2- the QVC" incident - Santa and Rudolph - how to forgive Nd forget - a play in seven readings
July 3- Jayish- fact or fiction?

xmas365 I am very sorry to hear about your struggles. It is a good thing that you and your wife are keeping the communication open. I hope that you both will find the right solution during counseling. I will keep you in my thoughts.
