LOL good luck with Rollins' harness. We bought one for Loki and it really makes a difference when he pulls. And no problem putting it on. Loki sees it as his way to go outside so he's very docile and sits there waiting for us to put it on. He's that way with his Winter sweater too.

A few of our friends kids went to Upper Valley JVS! Several times the problem was schools here were closed due to snow or ice but JVS was still open so the kids had to go. Made for some nervous parents!

Had a great visit with my brother and a wonderful get away. Drove 695.3km roundtrip without the use of cruise and no passengers. I mostly listened to 70's on 7 and sang along as I was driving.
Navigated into the belly of Toronto with no hiccups; got turned around twice, but not bad for my first go.
Went to an off Broadway Play (somewhat of a musical) called Nashville Stories, took the wheel of a sailboat and roamed Lake Ontario with my brother and his good chum Captain Paul.
Made a secret recording with my brother for a later release on Jazz FM 91 to honour our dad in October for his 80th birthday - top secret stuff. Had a tour of the station and met lots of people who treated me like a celebrity. We're also plotting a surprise party for him.
I'm tuckered out a bit now; gonna grab a snooze and hope that my tablet is working when I wake up. Using my work laptop right now and it likes to close pages on me far too often. Uggh! Can't complain as I have a PC so the laptop is not supposed to be used for FB and stuff with fluff; it's for checking mail and working with reports on my USB. For those purposes, it's fine.

Not much going on today - I hope! I'm ready for a "normal" day!!
I feel like a broken record & I'm sorry if you're tired of "hearing" me talk about Gracie all the time, but we had another interesting appointment last night. He is happy her neck, shoulder, back stayed in place. He changed her dog food since she is not eating again. He said he hasn't had a lot of luck w/ the food she was on. He put her on a "organ support" herb, he did acupuncture on her again, & she didn't have to be sedated. She did well!! She ate last night...and threw up this morning!Could be the quick change in food? I dunno?? I guess we'll see where this road takes us!
Mom fell again yesterday!
Our friend is singing/playing at a local bar/restaurant again tonight. I would love to go, but it's been "one of them weeks" - I think we'll have to miss it!

Happy Friday Eve y'all! Preseason football for my team begins tonight! A "milestone" (with a little "m") of sorts as we look to fall. Very happy! Hope everyone has a great one!
Can't believe it and it is going to be such a wonderful time. Fall and winter my two favorite times of the year.
TGIF! Just enjoying another day off here. Got some stuff done Thursday and now today I'll be going to the mall. Just going to look for a few new clothing items for the fall that I could use. Also, need a few other items I will be looking for. Will bring home something from there for dinner. Looks like sunshine early here then cloudy later on and showers tonight. 3 weeks from today guys...it all begins the Bers. Have a great TGIF!
Good morning MMC! Wish I could say "Happy" Friday but I'm not feeling so happy right now. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing well! She didn't eat yesterday. I gave her a little rice with chicken so I could give her meds & that came up too! She has no energy (unless someone comes over - you'll still get the wheaten greetin) but she just lays around. I called the vet this morning - they are going to give me a call back. My girl is stressing me out!
Just work for me this morning & then I'll be staying with Mom until tomorrow night. I have a feeling I'll be making a trip to the vet at some point today too. It's looking like rain outside. We could use it!

First, we must review today's numbers release:
Days to the Season: 94
Days to Christmas Day: 136
OK. Our next pending Milestone.
It's one we might not expect to be seeing this soon but it is almost here, nonetheless.
It is the THREE QUARTERS marker to Christmas Season 2017 and it now lurks less than half a week away. August 14, to be precise, a scant THREE days off.
(Wow, Guys. This is starting to become a bit much for me. Things are beginning to to moving along too quickly!)
The temperatures held in the 80's yesterday and the humidity readings were down a bit, especially in the evening. It made for a fairly comfortable transition from early to mid August.
Today should again see moderate temps for our trip to South Carolina but we just might get rained on along the way.
(Oh. well. That will help hold down the windshield bug splatters.)
We begin this Weekend Eve at 76 degrees, as we prepare to leave on our trip.
