My hometown!

We live 20 minutes southeast. Getting to work wasn't a problem, except that DH took my keys to work with him so I couldn't leave home until he came back with the keys! Still got to work 30 minutes early. Let's see if DD & I can get home at noon!

DD has a book called "100 Movies to Watch Before You Grow Up". Quite a few Christmas movies in it & we're partially through Miracle on 34th Street. I never let her watch it before because I didn't want her to be confused about Santa. Now that she know the truth, she can handle it. Maybe we can finish that up after the Eclipse watch this afternoon. I hope everyone has a great day!

Oh yikes! Glad you made it to work on time. I hope you didn't have any problems getting home at noon! Enjoy the eclipse!

Thank you CGY! She was chipper at lunch! She even ate - cat food. Yep, she likes the neighbors cat food! If that's what it takes to get her to eat right now, cat food it is! Crazy dog!

I've never been much of a big game hunter. I used to take Jacob when he was younger, because he loved it. Nowadays, he's more interested in girls & guitars. Go figure. I'm a bird hunter, myself. Jacob used to love that, too, but it's just me now. LOL

A very Merry Monday to all the MMC Community. Nice cool morning at 68 currently and clear skies. That should make to eclipse viewing easier. Of course my first indication may be seeing it getting a bit darker while doing yard work...
Not much else on the card for today. I'll catch a movie with my much better half and do some BBQ for the evening dinner (along with corn on the cob and a potato casserole). I do have to make one quick trip to Menards for a few more patio pavers. But that is all I know of. have a nice day everyone and a fantastic last full week of August...

Woo Hoo!! I just heard this morning that in 2024 we are right on the path for totality! Have you seen what time of the day that is supposed to occur?

I haven't!! I should see if I can find it.

The clouds parted for a few minutes thankfully right as we reached the peak. I tried pictures with two different cameras but never could get a shot that showed it real well.
