You'll have to let us know how the eclipse glasses/viewing go. Wish I would have ordered some!!
Hope you're having a wonderful day!!!

I ordered the glasses back in June, I was afraid they would sell out. We had a partial eclipse of around 70 percent that was visible here on the Island. It was cool but I can't even imagine what it must have been like to see a total eclipse. It looked pretty awesome on tv!

Nothing very spectacular here in Raleigh even though we were past 90 percent totality. The light dulled down and became rather yellowish and the temperature dropped 2 1/2 degrees. That was about it.

A bunch of people came out of our office building to see the 63% cover in our area. We got some off-and-on clouds at the height of it. Not impressive, but certainly interesting. Some of us had paper-plate pinhole projectors; a few had eclipse glasses and passed them around so everyone could get a direct view. It was a bit like a 10-minute block party!

I enjoyed watching the coverage on CNN this morning here in Arizona ..
All the neighborhood dogs were barking like crazy LOL

Usually my cat hangs out in the window for at least half the day. Today, he spent the entire day away from the windows. Instead, he laid on his tower and bed. I think he knew something was up, too!

A very good (and early) morning to all my MMC friends. Well, the storm was still in full swing during the eclipse, so I caught the CSPAN (NASA) coverage. It was interesting. Got a few things done inside, but by 4PM, I was literally tired of waiting so I laid down and viola... 6.5 hours later I woke up. I made some chili-cheese dogs for the wife and I and we watched an old movie called 40lbs of trouble (with Tony Curtis and Suzanne Pleshette). It was very enjoyable and the fact that a portion of the picture was filmed at Disneyland in 1962 brought back a lot of memories (it really did not change much until the 70's).
Connie was tired and decided to hit the sack, but I figured it was a good time to take all those large blankets and a comforter down to the laundromat. Just got back around 4:15. Today will be the start of a new work week (at 10PM that is), so I will stay up till around noon or so and then get in a few more hours of shuteye. I have a Bible study with some other men at 6AM and maybe things will have dried out enough to do a little bit of yard work.
That, as they say, is about all the news that is fit to print. I hope everyone who wanted (and was able) to see yesterday's celestial event enjoyed it (I read some of your comments) and that you all have a terrific Tuesday or Taco Tuesday, whichever you prefer...

Morning MMC! Today we should see high temps in the upper 80s with partly cloudy skies. There's a chance for a stray shower or thunderstorm later today. The weather from Thursday through Monday looks unreal. I hope it holds but they are predicting basically mid-upper 70s with sunshine and low humidity...September weather in late August. Well someone stole my charge information as I saw a $50 amount for Papa John's on it last night. I called up and they cancelled my card. They are sending me a new one. That never happened to me before. I only use one charge card too. I don't like to have more than 1 cause it's enough work keeping track of it. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning, Happy Tuesday!
It's going to be cloudy today, chance of a shower with highs near 85 degrees. I'm heading out in a little bit with my middle one, she has a routine doctor appointment. I need to do some food shopping at some point. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. I'm going to grill chicken and vegetables kabobs for dinner. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well!
xx

Good Morning, Friends of the Season!

And there's nothing much more effective in making us feel friendly than the close approach of another Milestone marker, is there?
That will be discussed after the presentations of today's information on the count.

Days to the Season: 83
Days to Christmas Day: 125

And the TWO-THIRDS mark to Christmas Day 2017 is now a mere THREE days off. Less than half a week, now.
(How could it have crept up on us so soon? We are just about to enter the LAST third of our Christmas Day count. Just think about that, now. Amazing!)

Well, thanks to the eclipse yesterday, it was not as warm (for a few minutes, that is).
Otherwise, more of the warm and humid weather that has become chronic in these parts, now.
This second day of the week has begun at 75 degrees here in NC.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everybody!

Thanks Crown! Glad the eclipse temporarily cooled you off a little!

This weather is crazy definitely will feel like September for sure.
Sorry to hear about your card...at least you caught it early before anything more was charged.
Have a great day!

Happy Tuesday!! My husband and I went to a restaurant last night with an outside patio. It was nice to sit outside and relax. Just work for me today and my oldest daughter has soccer conditioning tonight. I also need to catch up on some laundry. Hope you all have a great day!

Greetings Edge. Sorry to hear about your "Identity Theft". Been there too and like you I only have one card, which I track daily. I also call it lost every other year, just to keep new numbers on it. Maybe a bit paranoid, but having it happen once is more than enough...

Morning SnowflakeMom. I am pleased you and your husband were able to get away for a nice relaxing dinner/date night. Even though we love our children for a lifetime, the person we "chose" to spent it with is sometimes the best of times. Enjoy your week and have a nice day...

My work sent out the invitation for our yearly Christmas party already. Although it's still August it made it feel a tiny bit closer. :)

Have great day friends!
Greetings SinatraClaus. I love an organization that gives you plenty of time to make plans. At my Wal-Mart it can be announced today for early next week and if we can't make it... oh well. Oh and we cannot have a Christmas party anymore it has to be a Holiday party and is held after the New Year.
