Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good afternoon ... another nice fall day today however the temps are suppose to warm up for a few days and cool back off. Taking my daughter dress shopping tonight for the high schools homecoming dance which is in a few weeks. She is going with a friend. While I am out I am gong to try to find a couple Halloween themed movies to add to our collection.

We got most of the outside decorated, just have a couple more strands of lights that I want to put up on the porch. Still working on decorating the inside and I will have that done by this weekend. Oh I cant wait for the weekend .. I wanna bake and just relax on the couch and watch movies

I hope you find some fun new DVD's to add to your collection & your daughter finds a dress she loves! xx Bake & relax sounds wonderful - supposed to be in the 80's here all weekend (it's still lake season, so I'm not complaining ) so baking & movies may wait a couple weekends yet!
How fun that you are going to NYC in December too. Neat that you & Brent will be there at the same time!!
Have fun finishing up decorating. I noticed this morning my strand of lights on the banister is out already. Grrrrr!

I think there are a few fans on here!
We got the entire series on DVD, plus the live shows and more recent Christmas episodes on PAL. (We have a DVD player than can handle PAL.) When I come home after a really bad day, Mr. knows that is what I need to watch!

The first time I saw one of those episodes I was laughing so much I had tears streaming down my face. Definitely a great pick you upper!

One of my in-laws showed us a clip on YouTube---after that we were hooked!
(The clip was when she gets the pine air freshener mixed up with the pine-scented aerosol glue ... )

Happy Pines Day!

What a hectic week it's been with various things.

My youngest is due to start secondary school next september so we have been visiting various schools at their open evenings as we narrow down our choices. We have to submit our selections by end of month. Yesterday, we visited an academy that was very 'Hogwarts' like lol. Mr Festive even joked that that he thought he saw Malfoy go pass We visited at twilight and the lovely old building was framed perfectly against an indigo sky and half bare trees swaying creepily. I can not believe that my son is almost in secondary school!!! When I envision him in his uniform wearing a blazer and tie , I just want to burst out crying because it feels like just yesterday he was crawling around in a winnie the pooh onsie!!

Anyway.... hope you guys are having a great week.

Good Day fellow MMC's -- Hope all is well in MMC-Ville (it's a real place, I checked and everything) -- I'm taking a bit of time for myself at the moment after finishing the housework for the day. Got the Christmas music playing as I type. Rather than write traditional Christmas cards this year, I'm going to make personalised Christmas Music CD's for my work colleagues. Something a bit different, but very festive. The rest of today will likely be spent listening, shortlisting and playing around with tracklists. Not a bad way to spend the day IMO! -- Here's what I have playing at the moment.

Well, the "loopy" medicine that they gave Mama to take before the surgery was plenty loopy. I had to help her to the car, then to the office chair! LOL I took her home later, and stayed with her while she slept. I made sure her head was clear and she could navigate the house before I came back to work.

She's insisting on us eating dinner with her tonight! Stubborn Mama LOL.

We have been busy with family visiting, and just returned from a lovely vacation in Door County, WI.
Harlowe has had some more health challenges, so we have made some changes and been giving her even more love and TLC.

Morning MMC! Today we expect some times of sun with a very warm high of 81. Wow not quite October weather huh? More like late summer still. Is anyone off Monday for Columbus Day? I'm not but I am taking the Monday after off. Haven't taken a day off in a couple of months now. I miss those long summer weekends sometimes lol. Rollins loves playing after our walk every night. All I do is say "wanna play" and he runs and grabs his ball. He sure keeps me busy. Have a great Friday Eve!

And near the brink, we are.
Yes, my Friends. As of Saturday, we will be NINETY PERCENT of the way to Christmas Season 2017 and will then enter the HOME STRETCH run to the referenced Season.
(Astounding. Simply astounding!)


Well, the warmth is slowly seeping back in, and we will be in the 80's for the remainder of the week rather than the 70's. But with continued moderate humidity, it should still be fairly nice.
Our current temperature reading is 60 degrees here in the capital city.
