Oh nooooo! What a bummer - what a little stinker!!! At least you will have your real tree!! Hopefully she'll let the real tree alone & be a better kitty with your fake tree by next year!! xxGood morning MMC!!
I've already taken my tree down.(You read that right.. down not up!) It was too much with the kitten. Between the fake snow all over the house that I'll never get out of the carpet and her bending branches down I figured it'd be better to just put it away this year until she's older next year. (It wasn't cheap and I'd like it to last more than 2 Christmases!)
We're going to get our real tree Friday!! I have this strange idea that the kitten will leave the real tree alone. Hahaha! Just thinking positive! Hope you all have a great day!
The show sounds super! It's great to see you again!!Merry morning!
I hope everyone is doing well! My computer/phone/self/family have been having problems and that is why I have been missing on here. I really miss coming here!
At my cousin's so I popped on before we begin our big day of Christmas merriment. Off to see Brian Setzer's Christmas show at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. What a birthday present from her and her hubs! She is about ready so I had best get going.
Have a merry rest-of-the-week!
Woe - that is a big turkey!! I picked up a 12 lb'er! That's what fits in the smoker! LOLMorning MMC! 1 week till my favorite work day of the year: Thanksgiving Eve. We will leave at noon next Wednesday and be off the rest of the week. Everyone at work is talking about Thanksgiving and the break. Every year they get excited for it. Just feels this year it came so fast. I think this weekend it will really hit us all. Oh we got our turkey yesterday a big 25 lb one. Yum...it's gonna be so awesome let's enjoy the ride the next week. Have a great day!
Hope your appointment today & then your maintenance goes well! xx My friend who is an excellent naturopath has decided to close their store. (she has a co-owner/friend in the business with her) They have such a great business going, people will be bummed. She's going to continue seeing some people in her home, & she has another work opportunity (in the same type business) but there are some health issues with their parents & she has 5 kids, I think it's just gotten too be too much.Good morning ~
Merry Pines Day!
We’re going to have sun and clouds today with highs near 49 degrees. I’ll be heading out in a little bit, I have an appointment with my naturopathic doctor. My three month wellness program is finally coming to an end. He’ll be setting me up with a maintenance program so I’ll be on my own after today. I want to exchange something at Kohls afterward since I’ll be passing the store on my way home. I have to pick up a couple of things at CVS as well. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be angel hair pasta and meatballs. I guess that’s about it for me.
I hope eeveryone is well and has a wonderful day. See you tonight!
xx
Can't wait for the 1st Pines night of the season!!! See you there!** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 3 **
Good Morning, Everyone!
Well, now. I've been busy listening to lots of Christmas music and have looked at a Christmas show or two, now that the Season is officially here
How about you?
Regardless, our remainig counts go relentlessly on:
Days to Thanksgiving: 8 (ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW!)
Days to Christmas Day: 40 (Almost down into the 30's!)
(The rolling year continues to roll away, my Friends.)
Slowly. Ever so slowly. Our temperatures creep up.
Still chilly but I have been able to wear lighter jackets.
Today should see us reach the mid 50's with mid 60's predicted for tomorrow.
We have started off this mid-week day at a chilly 39 degrees, here.
OK!
Now that the Season has officially arrived, Carl has let his Christmas decorating instincts run wild and......well you will just have to see the 'Pines this evening to fully appreciate it. Our friendly activities director has truly outdone himself!
Hope to see everyone there.
(But I'm going early to be sure Carl doesn't run out of those green and red holiday-frosted fired twinkies!)
Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
Whew, you got a big turkey coming too!Happy Hump/Pines Day!
I am definitely needing an extra cup of coffee today....I was up too early this morning.
Just my regular work day and a workout this afternoon.
I am going to get my turkey this weekend..probably on Saturday. I called and they said they would put a 25lb one aside.
Tonight we are having spaghetti and meatballs.
Hope you all have a great day!
I hope you get through your stressful obstacles better than expected & let the merriment begin!!!Frosty fields this morning, lovely sunrise too. Crispy!
Got a few stressful "obstacles" before the season starts (starts for me when the tree goes up)... so have to admit, i stopped listening to xmas songs (*still* couldn't bring myself to listen to Slade yet - not until the tree is up..).... i don't want to bring out the deep chrimbo cheer until the way is clear (that rhymed).
this is ok really - i get to revel in everyone else's merriment on MMC, and combine the xmas season/tree/lights heralding in the season for me, with the sheer relief that will come from completing these tasks and events.
Happily though, Sunday 26th where the tree goes up, i'll be positively entrenched with christmas mirth (and probably sporting a black eye from an "event" the day before
... then the last leg at work, stressy but doable, until finally... the house gets a last good clean, we pack all the prezzies into our suitcases, and jet off to the land of Pie, Mash & Liquor. Splendid.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you to get out of work early ONE WEEK from today!! I love garden centers at Christmas. Enjoy!!Wow ... still trying to grasp that next week at this time I'll have my fingers crossed that I get out of work early so I can get started stringing the lights on the tree! Wasn't yesterday Halloween? That lovely time between Halloween and Thanksgiving is rolling by so quickly. This weekend I'll make my annual visit to the garden center to see all their Christmas stuff---ornaments, lights, decorations, cards, dinnerware, linens, mugs, treats, villages, figurines---it's a wonderland there during the season! I buy a couple little things, but the trip is mostly to get immersed in Christmas.
Good luck to Elizabeth today!! Hope you all enjoy!!Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!
Elizabeth's One-Act Play State competition is this afternoon. Luckily, it's being held in nearby Vidalia, GA, so I don't have to take the whole day off of work. Usually, it's held in Albany, GA, several hours away.
It's so cool here, I'm wearing a sweater...in November!! That's awesome for southeast Georgia!
I hope y'all have a great day!![]()
Nice to see you! Have a great Christmassy day! Enjoy the show!!!Merry morning!

Hey we are all entitled to have those days. When you do, it always helps coming hereyeah i guess its normal then - it does indeed make things worth waiting for, yep. "Glad" its not just me
(Kick)boxer - yep! There's a tournament on the saturday.
All feels like a sprinting finish to the year... don't even have kids; can only imagine how stressy it can be for all you parents.., on top of normal woes!
Ok, i can hear a thousand tiny violins going off now, so I better snap out of the scrooge mood ("having a scrood"? "mooge"?)
Good luck to Elizabeth. I look forward to hearing how it all went.Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

Aww I bet the balcony will look so pretty!Good Wednesday (late) morning! I'm working the afternoon/evening shift again today, so I took it easy this morning. I ordedred battery-operated lights but they came to deliver them yesterday when no one was home, so I'll have to go and pick them up tomorrow at the post office. I'm really hoping they're good quality, we want to decorate our balcony this year but there's no electrical outlet. Have a great day everyone!
