Christmas Countdown - 2017

A few pictures from our city's Christmas market. Over 70 artisans selling their work. We bought homemade maple caramel, apple jelly and maple and apple doughnuts. My nose is stuffed up so couldn't taste a thing.

Santa was atad but overlit. There was a train going around for small children and a quartet singing carols. Really lovely hour spent there.

Good morning ~
Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Back to my regular routine today. Errands and chores for me. And some Christmas shopping of course. I’ll be making a pot of Italian Wedding Soup for dinner as well. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!

I had to look it up, but that soup sounds pretty good!

Good morning MMC! Merry Monday! I can't believe it's only 2 weeks until Christmas Day! Things need to slow down!!!
We had a nice, relaxing weekend. I stayed with Mom Friday night until my sis came around 9pm. Then chilled at home. Saturday, Sunday besides a run to the store, I was home all day, both days! Got to watch it snow all day Saturday. Lucy (and I) LOVED it!! She's learning how to make a snow beard!!

Over the weekend I made Hug Pretzels, a double batch of sponge candy & Oreo Truffles. I think I'm done with candy now. This Saturday is cookie day & then it will be time to put together & pass out the candy trays!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

We never got any snow this weekend. It snowed down to 50 mile north of Bellville, but it was only rain south of that. Oh, well. It was still cold and blustery, so we spent a lot of time in front of the TV, with all the lights out except for the Christmas lights. Pretty nice!

My company Christmas party is tonight, but it'll be a little somber missing Russell. We invited his family to come, though, and they agreed! I like Japanese Hibachi, so I'm looking for to tonight!

Last weekend was my company's Christmas party. The first celebration of the month! These two weeks are going to fly by (they always do!), but this year I am lucky to have 22nd to the 2nd off so I can really enjoy the last few weeks of the year.

Morning, y'all! Hope all is well! Two weeks from Christmas....goodness. Is everyone ready? I'm glad we get out of school early this week, I need to do some shopping! Both of our girls are sick, so I'm hoping they get better so we can get out and about in the next few days. Was hoping to go see Santa, but no go this weekend!

Good late evening everyone.
Well, my Browns were able to lose again! I was worried they might accidentally win a game. But, fear not, the defense collapsed and the QB was able to throw an interception. Ah, the life of a Browns fan.

Anyway, back to school tomorrow. The last full week before Christmas break. The week after that is just exams through Wednesday with an early release on that Wednesday.

This Wednesday is exciting though! My oldest son, Nathan, who is a senior, is joining the Army!!! He has already picked his job and all of that. This Wednesday he goes to MEPS for his physical and to swear in. So, my wife and I are taking the day off to watch him swear in. He does not leave for the Army until the end of July, but it is great he will be all set up and ready to go. I am super happy for him, and most importantly he is happy about his job, training, and leave date.

Hello everyone!

Just to wish you all a most magnificent christmas and happy slide into the new year!
We're flying to England tonight - south first, then later north. The north has great snow now, which will undoubtedly turn to mush before we arrive, but no big deal! To see the rolling hills of England again will be a gift in and of itself.

I won't have much access to the internet while on holiday, so i'll again take this opportunity to wish you every happiness this season, and to thank you for your companionship through the year.

Also to Crown, for the ever-exciting'er daily countdown!

Morning MMC! Truly we are now getting so close to the Dynamic Duo! I'm excited beyond belief. But this is probably the most important week for me because I need to get a ton of things done while really taking Christmas in this week. I've got my work Christmas party Thursday and a ton to wrap plus some food shopping to do for Christmas Eve next weekend. My brother comes 1 week from today and then things may get even busier which is why I need to get stuff done this week all while working all week. Have a great Monday!

Back to the grind today. Although, I have a 1/2 day on Wednesday for a Dr's appt and then I am off Friday and Monday. I am in pretty good shape for shopping. Just some stocking stuffers and a pair of boots for my youngest daughter.

Lucy is getting big!!
We are making cut out sugar cookies & then if we have time we normally make orange drop cookies & maybe chocolate brownie cookies. It's a full day of baking & icing!

Today's my last day off until the 19th. Had to get up extra-early for a dental appointment, then I FINALLY got the trees decorated ... hooray! They've been up and lighted since Thanksgiving, but no decorations until today. That's the latest I've ever been, but other deadlines came first this year. Next week I should be wrapping Mr.'s gifts and making cookies. I think I'll take the rest of the day off and watch some movies ... 'cause it's back to work tomorrow, and another deadline to work on over the weekend!
