Milestone discussion time!
And what is our next one?
Well, it's the ONE-QUARTER marker to Christmas Day.
Its distance?
Just FIVE days ahead, believe it or not.
(It's true. it's really true!)

Well, yesterday may have been the first day of spring, but it certainly did not seem like it, with rather raw, rainy weather.
Today may even see some light snow, but owing to temps above freezing, it should not be an issue.
We are overcast and wet here at this hour and have a temperature reading of 36 degrees.

As we have now reached mid-week, we once again look forward to our weekly visit to the Shispering Pines to see what our friendly activities director is up to. This being the first open house of spring, can only mean a related theme. Be sure to show up to see what it is!

In the meantime, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, OK?

More snow headed our way, they are saying 6-12 inches, it just started flurrying out there. Once again I am praying for no power outages. I am so done with winter!

Merry Pines Day!
I’m just having my coffee and watching the local news, they increased our snowfall totals for today. We’re now expecting up to 12 inches here on the island. My two oldest are scheduled to work, I’m praying they get sent home early. I don’t think I will ever stop worrying about them driving in this kind of weather. So I’ll just be hanging out at home today, I have plenty of chores to do around the house. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day. Be safe!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

Elizabeth's Girl's Trio won First in State! As a matter of fact, several of our school's events won First in State, and our school won overall First in State! It was such an awesome day, and the kids all did a superb job. We were at a college in middle GA, and it took all day. We got home about 10:45 last night. Boy, I was tired after getting up at 5am to get Elizabeth going.

I have to leave early today to go to a funeral for a neighbor. He was on the city council while I was mayor (and beyond), and lived a couple doors down from us.

Well we didn’t get quite as much snow as some of you are expecting but there is a good 2 inches out there and it’s still coming down. I just plan on staying in and doing some baking. I hope everyone has a great day and stay safe!!

I have to leave early today to go to a funeral for a neighbor. He was on the city council while I was mayor (and beyond), and lived a couple doors down from us.

I know the countdown has been in front of me since January 1, but I can't get over the fact that in a month and a few days we will be under 200 days until the season....wow.

Good snowy morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!! All the schools are closed around here. As of now it's still snowing & blowing. Not sure how much longer it will last. Jim was happy to have been able to get the snow blower out this morning. He opened our driveway & 2 neighbors too. He loves playing with that toy! LOL! Though he texted & said it's going to be a long day delivering UPS! I am happy to be on the inside looking out!

Not much going on today except for work. I picked up a salad for lunch - it's a Southwest salad w/ jalapeno's, grilled chicken, bbq sauce ~ can't wait! Not sure what I'll make for supper?? But I'm not planning on going out once I get home from work!!

Fingers are crossed I will have the day off tomorrow!

That would be dangerous, for forest fires; and people on dug wells would find it hard to get water.

True! My parents had to dig a deeper well probably 8-10 years ago. No fun!

Happy first day of Spring; snow is supposed to start here around midnight, I believe. Because some of our school district is in the mountains, I'm afraid that last teacher in service day in May will be a school day to make up for closing tomorrow. However, we were supposed to get tornadoes last night, but just had rain & thunder. I like a little snow, but I'm ready for Spring!

Just relaxing this evening as tomorrow I have a lot of hauling of items around and straightening. The displays I did today turned out pretty good, so I am happy, albeit tired.

Morning MMC. We're expecting our 4th Nor'Easter of March. I won't even mention there's the possibility of a 5th Sunday cause it's getting completely ridiculous lol. But anyway right now the flurries are light so I'm going to go in to work and then leave early most likely depending on when it gets bad out. Be careful if you're in the storm...and I really look forward to the real spring whenever it finally shows up!
