Morning MMC! It's chilly out! I think it's cause we're not used to it. Should warm back up some (not hot though) this coming week. And lots of clouds unfortunately with showers for a good part of the week. NFL Sundays are back! This is my favorite time of year. Have a great NFL SUNDAY!

Good Morning, Seekers.
And we all seek the same thing here.
That place.
That special destination that is Christmas Season 2018!

Therefore, let's not waste time.
Straight to the count, then to the Milestone status.

Days to the Season: 65
Days to Christmas Day: 107

And are we to believe that as of today, we are exactly ONE WEEK away from the 100-DAY CHRISTMAS DAY Window, at which point BOTH of our counts will number in double-digits?
Apparently so, because it is true. The Countdown chart. Our bible. Says so.
End of discussion.

Well, it was more comfortable physically yesterday, as the heat and humidity abated somewhat.
Mentally, it was a different issue, as we monitor the steady approach of Florence, the track for which gets more and more menacing by the day.
A few more days are left for it to veer off. Keeping our fingers crossed!
Weekend day 2 has begun here at 72 degrees.

Have a Super Sunday, Everybody.
Enjoy your NFL game of choice this afternoon!

Thanks Crown! Enjoy your football Sunday Week 1!

Good morning MMC...definitely feels like fall out there. Not too much planned today except for my daughter’s softball game tonight and of my husband will be watching football today. Have a great day!

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Sunday!
It’s a cool & rainy morning, we’re currently at 61 degrees. I just fried meatballs and my sauce is simmering. Dinner will be baked ziti. Not too much going on here today. My oldest is coming over later, we need to order a few things for her bridal shower. Other than that I’ll be working on some chores around the house. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Good morning from and wet and chilly NJ. I will so take this weather over that nasty heat and humidity we had last week. Even had to throw an extra blanket on the bed this morning. My son has been wanting lasagna for a while and today is the perfect day for that so that's what we are having for dinner. Hope everyone has a great day.

Crown, I've been thinking of you. I'm not so sure to where you live exactly, but I know it's in the Carolina's (I think North Carolina). The spaghetti models this morning are indicating that predicted landfall is moving a bit more north, then as it was last night. 4 days out, still too hard to exactly predict where she's going to make landfall, but there are a lot of people very concerned about this one because she's predicted to make landfall as a cat 4 storm, which is an extremely dangerous and destructive storm.

I've been keeping a low profile lately, as we've had a couple doses of bad news in the past two weeks, and it didn't seem right to drop a load of sad into everyone's celebrating the 'Bers. First, our household income has taken a serious hit for the foreseeable future; hopefully something will come along to at least partially replace that. But even sadder, we lost our dear Gloria Jean over the Labor Day weekend. (If you visit the celebrity deaths thread or the prayer requests thread, you will see more details.) We were afraid her passing would go unnoticed, but Extra TV, Hollywood Reporter, and The New York Times all posted obituaries for her, as well as some blogs. She will be greatly missed, but oh, such a lot of wonderful memories Mr. and I have of the times we spent with her during the past 15 years. The GloriaJeanSings.com website is still up and running in her memory; you can see film clips of her there, and listen to audio clips of her amazing voice. (That's her picture in my avatar---it's a screenshot from "Snowtime Serenade" that I colorized. She presses her nose against the window at the end of the film; that's why it looks a little squashed.) She loved Halloween and Christmas; she'll be in our hearts during those holidays.

Oh i'm so sorry to hear of your sad news :( , will be sending lots of prayers your way!

Also praying for all of yous in the path of the storm... we are no strangers here in FL to hurricanes, make sure you all stock up on water and all the other things you may need!

That weather looks really nice and lot better than what we got planned.

If it makes you feel any better here is mine LOL ;) . For some reason when I opened the door to let the snowdog out this morning I was expecting crisp cool autumn air.. but instead got hit with a moist heat wave, yuck! We went to the beach yesterday and snowdog had a great time :) . Not this upcoming weekend but the weekend after that starts all the fall TV shows! I'm sooo excited! This morning hubby and I had pumpkin spice doughnuts!

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, SnowDog. Some know Gloria through MMC because she participated in a podcast segment and some Kringle Radio (then Merry Christmas Radio) pieces some years ago that I produced. She was best known as W.C. Fields' niece in "Never Give a Sucker an Even Break." You can see clips from her films and hear her remarkable voice (she was training for opera when she was 12!) on GloriaJeanSings.com.

She was a very lovely, down-to-earth lady, and we cherish all our visits with her. They don't make them like that anymore ...

We live in Raleigh. Watching closely by the day.

Evening everyone and a happy Sunday. It's been a quiet day for us. Weather is a bit windy and wet. I'm cooking some chicken fajitas for tea and thinking about lighting some candles. Yip it's Autumn. Have a good one folks.

Hi everyone,

I haven't been here since March, I believe.
MMC has been on my mind a lot lately, I have been meaning to
visit but I always seem to forget or I get sidetracked.
It is a chilly day, the electric fireplace is on, and Christmas is on my mind.
Everything here is okay, been very busy. I hope to visit more often now.
I hope you all are well, I have missed you
Happy 'Bers!

Have a ton of Christmas pictures took from Big Lots on Saturday. Might post it here or wait for the blossoms thread when it pops up.
