Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good Morning, Holiday Enthusiast and Aficionados!
(And as lovers of Christmas and its grand Season, you are certainly in the right place indeed.)

Let's examine today's numbers while they are fresh:
Days to Halloween: 22 (Three weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to the Season: 35 (Five weeks from today!)
Days to Christmas Day: 77 (Eleven weeks from today!)

And now that we are past all of our Season Milestone markers, things will really shift into high gear and begin to move quickly!

Still hanging in there with the humidity although the temperatures are not high.
And now we have another hurricane to contend with ("Michael"), this one approaching from the Gulf but predicted to track right across NC.
We have not even yet completed dealing with the cottage which did sustain some damage from Florence (missing shingles, siding and soffit damage, screens blown out.) Nothing too bad and little moisture inside.
The adjuster has already looked at it and is allowing us a new roof, which is actually good, seeing as how it was about due for one anyway.

Today here is supposed to top out in the low to mid 80's with about a 40 percent chance of afternoon showers.
We are at 70 degrees here, right now.

Merry Monday! It was nice having a day off yesterday. Just work for me today and my oldest daughter has a soccer game today. I am making beef stew in the crockpot so it will be an easy meal.

We're watching the crazy hurricane, too. It's supposed to come right through our area. Great. My brother and I went out yesterday to make sure mom's generator is in working order, and I plan to move all of the patio chairs and other loose items indoors today.

Good Tuesday morning! A day off for me. We just quickly cleaned the appartment this morning for another visit from our landlord, this time to check the fire alarms and smoke alarms for insurance purposes. After that we have some errands to run. We'll try and get everything done this morning before high humidity moves in (they predict 34°C/93°F with the humidex). Enjoy a great day everyone!

Merry Tuesday! Nothing too special today. The new Elin Hilderbrand book downloaded to my Nook overnight so I will be reading that. I also have laundry to do. Carolina has school this afternoon so I will try to find an outfit for her to wear for school pictures on Thursday. After school we will go to the library and return our old books to get new books. The high will be about 80 today

last week we had our first frost warning, today we are under a heat alert ! Going to go up to 35c (83f) with the humidity...and sadly our ac is already taken out.

we did however have a great thanksgiving weekend !

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday! How did it get to be almost 10:00 already? Crazy morning I guess! I started this message around 8:30 - LOL!

Just work for me today. Old job this morning, new job this afternoon. It's another warm day with a high of 84 - tomorrow is a high of 80 & Thursday we dip down to 57....and a low of 35 Friday night!

I'm close to two - thirds of the way through "Winter Solstice". That's the fourth novel in what was originally going to be a trilogy. My brilliant bride & I enjoyed all of the entries in the series. Enjoy!

Awesome! I read a little bit more last night, but didn't have time to read a lot. I saw there's another new one coming out soon - maybe today?

Good Tuesday MMC! Another Day, Another Dollar. Since we got promoted, they are bringing in a new person in 2 weeks. But she doesn't have a lot of experience so will have to teach her. It's ok though that goes with the territory. It's another cloudy morning out. I hope we see sun at some point. Weekend still looks much chillier. Going to feel like Halloween for real then. Good morning and Happy Tuesday MMC!
It’s going to be cloudy today with a high of 75 degrees. Not too much going on here, I’m just having my coffee and watching the news. I already tidied up and started laundry. I have to do some food shopping this morning. Lunch with my youngest. I need to run out for a new phone charger at some point, my daughters isn’t working and she stole mine lol. Dinner will be tacos. This Is Us tonight. I guess that’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
