Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good Morning, Folks!
A new week has arrived along with a new month.
The second month of the 'bers.
The month of Halloween and the beginning of the Home Stretch to Christmas Season 2018!
And speaking of Halloween, it's time once again to add a line to our count list.

Days to Halloween: 30
Days to the Season: 43
Days to Christmas Day: 85

And our Milestone situation?
Well, as alluded to above, we are rapidly approaching the Ninety Percent, Home Stretch mark to the Season.
In fact, that point will be reached just SIX days from today's date.
That's UNDER a week, Guys!

Pretty nice here yesterday. The humidity was not too bad, we had plenty of sun and the rain stayed away.
In fact, most all of this week is predicted to be nice, with highs in the low to mid 80's and little chance of precipitation.
The new week here has commenced at 64 degrees.

Thank you snowflake! He was a gem. We learned a lot about him at the funeral home. We never knew he was a basketball player (center) in high school ~ he was such a little guy, it was hard to imagine. LOL! He was also a horse lover - always had a horse as a young man & he did barrel racing. The pictures were amazing!! It was very interesting talking with his wife & daughter.

Chili & the game were awesome!!

That is so nice that you had great conversations with his wife and daughter, and learned so much more about him. And a horse lover to boot <3

Adi and Kevin did some mountain biking, and went kayaking.
Ash and I went out for Mexican, then made the rounds to some country shops and shopped 'til we dropped
Then we met back up for a nice long walk with Harlowe, and grilled out.
We are always shocked by how fast our weekends fly by when they come.

Good Monday OCTOBER FIRST!!, Christmas friends!!

It's going to 90° all week, but who cares? It's October!!

I want to decorate the front porch for Fall, but I got carried away with Precious, the pressure washer, Saturday afternoon while cleaning the porch. The painted columns were looking ratty, and the painted parts of the brick steps, too. I hit them with the washer and the paint flew off, so I decided to really knock off the old paint and re-paint this week. What was I thinking?!?

As if Nancy doesn't already have plenty of honey-do's for me.

Merry Friday!

It is a rainy, cool day here. Had to turn the furnace on earlier than I wanted to, but it was too damp in here for Palmer.

Yesterday I stepped outside and found four black/grey tabby kittens by the truck. My gosh are they ever cute!! Today I fed them some Kitten Chow ~ for such little guys/gals they can really eat.

Spent the day dodging rain showers while checking out a few garage sales. Found a few things for the store so I will be doing a lot of research this evening.

It's the weekend! And, I would like to share that today, I received my "Iron level" of days registered at MMC! 10,000 days and counting! Hooray! What a perfect day to receive my award, as I believe it coincides with the debut of the Most Wonderful Thread of the Year!!! Happy Blossoms Day, everyone!!

Merry 10,000 + days at MMC!!! That was good timing!

Good Saturday morning! A day off after a long work day yesterday. We're going to Williston, VT today to pick-up something I had ordered. It'll be a nice 2-hour drive. There's a store called Christmas Tree Shops near where we're going, there ought to be some Christmas merch there right? Definitely will check it out. Have a great day everyone!

I hope you found some Christmas things there. I was disappointed when we were in MA in the summer & I saw a Christmas Tree Shop - thought for sure it would be all Christmas!! Nuttin!

Merry Saturday MMC!
I have a pretty busy day ahead. I have to make a big food shopping trip, I’m going to head out in a few minutes to get it over with. I’m picking up my oldest later this morning, she has a trial hair and makeup appointment for the wedding and she wants me to go with her. I also have to go shoppping for a gift for my father in law, we’re getting together with him tomorrow to celebrate his birthday. I still have to figure out what I want to get him. Other than that I’ll be working on the laundry when I get the chance. And we’re going to grill steaks for dinner later tonight. I guess that’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Happy Saturday! Our pasta party was a hit and we have so much food left over so we will be having meatball grinders for dinner and sausage and peppers. Just my daughter’s soccer game today and then catching up on laundry today. Hope you have a great day!

Happy Saturday everyone! Not too much planned for the weekend. My oldest nephew is visiting some friends here and I am hoping to be able to see him this weekend, even if it is just to watch football together. I plan on cheering on the Buckeyes today and have plans for a full day of football watching tomorrow! The temps have been so beautiful lately but I see a few 80 degree days in our forecast. I thought I was done with the AC, but maybe not! Hope everyone has a great and safe weekend! Go Bucks!

Good morning, yall! I'm so tired...I've woke up yesterday at 4:00 a.m., worked until 1:00 last night, got up at 8, I'm about to sit on a dunk tank for toys for tots (it is 65 degrees), Bambina has her birthday party today at 3:00, and I have to speak at a community event tonight....and I have a fever.

It is going to be a long day. Pray for me.

Good Saturday evening, Christmas friends!

I finally mowed the lawn today! My recent mower purchase was a good deal! It was a used one that had a steering issue, so the guy sold it to me pretty cheap. We dropped it off at my brother's shop, and before I could drive from there back to work, Jim had it fixed. It runs & drives great!

Sorry to seem so excited about a used mower, but I never make good deals. This is one of the few real deals I've ever made LOL.

What an interesting night. Tonight was the last night of helping out another store in my district. They are a 24 hour store that sees a lot of theft. Last night a guy came in around 3am and loaded up his pants with Dove brand body wash and deodorant. The cops brought back all the merchandise that was recovered. It totaled between $100 to $150 in cost not counting that $78 worth of items that fell put of his pants as he was trying to run out of the store

Oh yikes!! Glad you stayed safe & he was caught! What's wrong with people?????

That sounds like a nice Fall weekend with you cousin, have fun. I really like that idea of fresh apple cider and cider doughnuts!!!!!

Our neighbors at the lake made homemade sugar doughnuts (& delivered) Saturday morning. OMGosh!! So, so good!!!!

Merry Monday!

A bit of a computer glitch prevented me from posting yesterday ~ still not sure what happened, but all seems well now.

My work day has been rained out. There is no way I am carrying boxes (books, material, magazines, stuff I do not want wet) into the store in the pouring/drizzling rain, so I am home, spending time with Palmer and ripping Christmas music to my computer. =)
