Good Morning, MMC!! We are off to a rainy start but the sun should come out this afternoon. Just some errands for me today. Then tonight we are supposed to get our first freeze. So I guess I’ll have to close the windows finally. It’s been nice being able to leave them open at night. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Good morning MMC! Monday already!!! We start today off with 53º & misting rain!! We have a freeze warning for tonight! Brrrrrrr!!! 53 is also the predicted high, so this afternoon temps are supposed to start dropping. Brrrrrrr!! Might have to break down & turn the furnace on at home. Right now the 2 fireplaces are keeping it toasty!
We did turn the furnace on at the lake this weekend & guess what - it doesn't work!! It got chilly in there! It worked Friday night/Saturday but by Saturday night, it was blowing cold air! Our local handy man just happened to drive by yesterday - he stopped in & is supposed to get the part we need delivered today! Hopefully by the weekend, we'll have heat! xx We are supposed to have chilly (freezing) nights next weekend too!

Happy Friday!!!! Working more on the garage tonight and gonna start cleaning out and rearranging the kitchen cabinets too. We are going to Great Adventure tomorrow and will be there pretty much all day .. temps suppose t be in the upper 50s should ne fun Haven't been there in over 25 years

It was 54 degrees when I took DD to school this morning. She yelled that it was nippy outside & I turned the heat on in the car! DH said he turned the heat on at home when he got up this morning. I wore my first sweater of the season today! Highs should be in the high 60's for the next week. Maybe Fall is really here now?

It's coming/here... Brrrrrr
My boss just opened the doors out in the shop, & then he had to go outside for a bit - he came back in & said "it's nasty out there! I just opened the doors, I think I'm going to have to close them again" LOL Brrrrrrr

Sophia is the one that wakes me up in the wee hours every morning, maybe that’s why her name sticks in your head lol. She’s a little devil!

Great time of year here in Chicago! So much going on, change in seasons, it's all good! Didn't make past mid 40's today but things should moderate a bit. A big change of leaves should be starting soon. Cheer's!

Happy Saturday, all! Busy day ahead of me. Have to work a few at the 2nd job, try to squeeze a little rest in, asthma is out of control and I'm on week 3 of bronchitis. Then after my son gets home we are all taking the grandbabies to the pumpkin patch! My first fall/Halloween here in Idaho. THEN to top things, my oldest son back in CA proposed last nite,,,and she said yes!

Hope you are feeling better!!! Congrats on your sons engagement! How exciting!!!

Okay, this is awesome. Last year a town north of Indy started a German Christkindlmarket. This year, they are adding a gluhwein pyrmaid built by Steinbach nutcrackers in Germany and shipped over. It’s going to be the largest one is the US. I’ll definitely be checking it out.

Back on the air. Duke Energy got the power lines back up sooner than predicted.
It was odd. We did not loose power until AFTER the storm had passed. I guess a weak limb finally could not hang on any longer.
Anyway, a sincere "THANKS!" to Edge for stepping in to be our emergency counter for the last two days!

Glad to hear your power is back!!!! AND you didn't have any damage!

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope this finds you all well. Our local shops are filling up with Christmas stock, such an exciting time!

My eldest daughter turns 17 tomorrow (where did 17 years go?!) her birthday has always marked the start of the most exciting time of the year for us! So looking forward to celebrating with her tomorrow.

It’s a gloomy rainy day here in my part of the uk, the perfect weather for cooking comfort foods and watching movies!

Good Morning ... OH I am so loving these temps. Yesterday we spent the day at 6 flags Great Adventure it only got up to 56 today is suppose to be a bit warmer .. 62. Perfect weather to make a roast. Going to get the rest of the inside fall decorations up and clean out the garage so more. Have a great day!

Our roast really hit the spot Friday night!! Having leftovers for lunch today!

Good Sunday afternoon! It's been sunny on and off today but somewhat cold because of the wind. We've been watching some shows while doing loads of laundry. Loki ate a small piece of onion that fell to the floor and has thrown up twice. We'll be monitoring him as we know onions are not good for dogs. We'll be going out for a nice long walk when this last load is done. Hope everyone isenjoying a wonderful weekend.

Vegetable soup in the crockpot. Colts are doing terrible. The Nascar race is boring. I think I’ll crank some Christmas music and do some online shopping.

Veg. soup sounds good too!! Maybe I'll have to make a batch of Cheesy Veg. soup this week! YUM!

It’s snowing! We got a couple of inches, kind of unusual for Iowa this time of year. But I love it. My daughter and I took a walk in it and now I’m on the porch swing with some coffee and I’m listening to some Christmas music watching it snow. It’s magical!

Merry Monday!
It’s going to be cloudy today with spotty showers and a high of 67 degrees. Typical day for me of errands and chores, plus lunch with my mother. We’re having beef stew for dinner, I’m going to throw everything in to the crock pot as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. I hope everyone has a nice day and a wonderful week ahead!!!
