All kidding aside ... my Thanksgiving weekend is so full that this is really the only good chance I'll get to put those lights on before the middle of December ... and I'm NOT waiting until then to enjoy a lighted tree, even if the ornaments aren't on it yet!

Seeing lights on a tree again is such a beautiful sight, I've gotten teary a couple times. Taking a brief break to check in on the forums, but I'll get back to it now.

Yea, you go girl, I don't blame you not one bit. You deserve to see and have those beautiful Christmas lights, sparkling in your eyes!

It's snowing outside right now, how about that! That's a pleasant surprise! It's going down to 13 degrees F here tonight, and with the wind thrown in, the wind chill will make it feel like 0 degrees F. Ooooooh man, it will be a throw an extra blanket on the bed night!

Even though we have a King bed, I do believe we will all be snuggled up together tonight including the kitties.

Good morning MMC and Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
It’s going to be partly sunny today with a high of 44 degrees. Colder air is moving in overnight, I hear it’s going to be the coldest Thanksgiving in 22 years. I have lots to do today. I’m going to walk Rocky soon and then I’m heading to the butcher to pick up my turkey. Back home to prepare for tomorrow. I’m going to put some Christmas music on and do some cleaning. Then I’m going to bake, cook and prep whatever I can do ahead of time. I hope everyone has a nice day!!!

It turned out really well. I used italian tomatoes, pears and plums. I was looking at a red pepper jelly recipe yesterday, I might try it as another savoury treat.

Good morning and Happy Thankgiving Eve. Enjoying my coffee before I get my flours steamed mopped and start my baking and prep for tomorrow. Kids have a 1/2 day of schook today and hubby is hoping to get out early. Ah, the day before the day....

I'm sure everyone has plenty to do today. I do, also. However, I have a big cup of coffee that needs to dealt with first, along with some Christmas friends that I needed to visit!

What a day it is going to be! The girls and I are going to do a little shopping....I plan on letting them pick out an inflatable...I have to go buy a book, and I have two items I forgot to get at Walmart. After that quick trip, we will return home and begin doing some cooking. I've got my DVR set for a couple of shows tonight (Charlie Brown being one of them) and I'm looking forward to this evening.

I hope you have a great day. We are in the middle of our favorite time of year and are approaching a holiday that we all love. Enjoy the moment, friends.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

Our plant is working furiously, trying to shut down by 12:30. We're cooking steaks for the guys, then leaving early for the long Thanksgiving weekend!

We took Elizabeth out to one of those brick oven pizza places for her birthday, along with a few of her friends and our family. It was pretty good, but I'm a simple pizza guy. Little Caesar's and a bottle of hot sauce works for me. Anyway, we had a good dinner, then walked down to an ice cream parlor. A great evening!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve MMC! We are watching it snow and preparing a few things for tomorrow here. Cant wait for the best eatting day of the year to finally hit. I have been waiting for a Black Friday coupon to become active to use on a electronics site. Minus 2 hrs and counting down.

It sure doesn't feel like Thanksgiving! It's just been too busy!! But we will all be together at moms & celebrate her life & enjoy the day!!

Wow! What a productive couple of hours I’ve had! I made 2 pumpkin, a pumpkin pecan, and a apple crumb pie. I also made a pumpkin roll, pumpkin chocolate chip and apple crumb breads. I’ll make some cinnamon rolls in the am and then we’ll cook for lunch. We’re having turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, corn, stuffing balls, cranberry salad, picked eggs, and rolls. There will be 14 of us and we’ll have lots of food, but I’m looking forward to it greatly!!!

Well, my part of the food is cooked, we just had supper, and we just watched Charlie Brown. What a night! I'm about to put the girls to bed, turn the lights off, and sit in the glow of the tree and watch some Christmas on Netflix.

Tomorrow morning Mike and I will go out for breakfast hopefully. I have to work from 2 to 10p but I don't really mind because it is in exchange for getting Christmas eve night and Christmas off. Mikes parents will go visit his grandparents but unfortunately Mike will have to miss out and stay home with the dogs to take care of them. Due to all of this Carolina will stay with my parents and family for Thanksgiving dinner. Mike is hopi g that the local Chinese food place will be open because that is what he will have for dinner
