I’m glad Nittany did well with the thunder vest. I’m not sure how Rocky will do with all the fireworks that will be going off next week, we shall see. It will be his first Fourth of July!

My Ella was the same way. She got more nervous and timid as she got older. I thought if we were having this much trouble with Nittany at 2.5, we better figure it out now.

I spend too much time on there as well, but we always find great recipes and stuff for the family to do.

My daughter and I ended up baking Soft Dutch Cocoa Cookies, they are sooo good!
No big plans on the Fourth, it will just be me, my hubby, the girls and their boyfriends and my two brothers and their families. I’m going to barbecue but keep it simple. Burgers, hot dogs, chicken & ribs and lots of homemade salads

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve! Not much up for me today besides work...and laundry! Good day for hanging clothes on the line! Git 'r done!It kind of snuck up on me this week - especially since we are on vaca next week. I want to make sure we're prepared!!
I read a story this morning from "Chicken Soup For The Soul, Christmas Treasury For Kids & their families" It's a book you're supposed to read a story every day from Dec. 1 to Dec. 25...well, I'm reading it for Christmas in July - starting early cuz I'm sure I'll miss a day here & there!
I liked the 1st saying in the book:
What is Christmas?
It is a tenderness for the past,

Well, we did it! We are now officially, 100% moved into our home. It was a tremendous project, one that I underestimated just how taxing it was on our bodies, minds and wallet. It took us a solid 5 days to get everything moved into our home. We had 4 movers, a 26 footer and a 17 footer moving vans on Friday, and we filled them both. Plus my truck and my wife’s car. Then, we made a few trips with just the truck and then I had to rent a trailer to get the big things here like my tractor and such.
But in the end, for the first time in 3 years, all of my processions are now under one roof along with my wife’s. It’s a really good feeling.
Rest, and slowly unpacking is now going to be the fun part. I’ll see now, after opening boxes, I will be saying, “oh there that is, I was looking for that!”

Morning MMC. The Heat Wave is beginning on this TGIF! I am ready for the weekend. I moved my vacation days to a Thu/Fri in July (26-27) and August (23-24) so I'll have a "4 day" Thanksgiving-like break/mini vacation both in late July and late August. Not bad. I'll need it cause without my co-worker things have been pretty overwhelming in terms of work load. But some OT hours and pay isn't bad as they look for another person. Have a great Friday!
