Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good morning MMC...both my girls had friends sleepover but went to bed late and kept me up for a bit...lol I think I will need some extra caffeine today. Another beautiful day but warming up. I need to catch up on laundry today.
I was at Dollar General last night and did not see any fall items out yet but they had one aisle filled with back to school supplies! The Bers are getting closer!

Good Morning, Almost Third Thirders!

I'll explain that in a moment.

First, let's get this bit of business out of the way:
Days to the Season: 126
Days to Christmas Day: 168

Now, as far as the "Third Third" is concerned, our regulars know that the reference is to the fact that we are just about to enter the third third of our Season count.
In fact, that point will be reached in just FOUR days. Barely over HALF a week from now!
(Things are just moving too fast, Folks. Too fast, indeed.)

The warmth is slowly creeping back but yesterday was not bad, especially in the evening when we had "porch settin" weather!
Today however, will see us return once again to 90's level temps.
(At least the tropical storm is supposed to stay well offshore.)
Our current thermometer reading is 67 degrees here in the capital city.

Good morning ~ Merry Tuesday!

Not much going on today besides work. Woke up at 4:30 am with a super sore throat, then at 6:45 with a sinus headache & a stuffy/runny nose! UGH!! I took some sinus pills & it's better already but I am sooooo tired!!! Just want to sleep! It's supposed to rain this afternoon. I'm hoping it waits until after I get home for lunch so I can get the laundry off the line! I have too many loads out there to get rained on! ;)

Happy Tuesday!
It’s going to be a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 85 degrees. Not to much going on here, I just have to run a couple of quick errands this morning and then I’ll be working on the laundry. My middle daughters birthday is today. We’re all getting together later tonight to celebrate, should be fun!

I know, I'm seeing Back-to-school signs also in the stores. Boy, If my wife would see those, it would make her cringe.

lovely morning here. Happy to hear of all the Christmas sightings !!
I got a tweet from a Christmas store showing off the new window display they put up ! if I could find it back i will post the picture.
Off to work at the store today, have to take a city bus which I have not been on for a few years. Grateful it is available.
Will be getting my daughters car on Saturday so it will be nice to use that for awhile. Hoping it will not take long to get my own wheels again.

Oh yea, those boys had a blast! They live in a DC suburb, it's a tree lined, congested rat race there. the boys came out to the country, and it was like no stopping them, they went wild running around, having a good ole time. LOL, we enjoyed their visit, even with all the messes.

The kitties came out last night, Shiloh was so vocal. All she wanted me to do is to pick her up, hold her and comfort her (which of course I did) and she was so happy then, just purring away and nuzzling into my whiskers on my chin. Both of them slept with us last night for awhile upstairs, before they ventured out to go play, running thru the house. It was good to see them getting back to normal.

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

We had a great vacation in the NC mountains! The cooler weather had me longing for fall, though. I could drink my morning coffee on the back porch and imagine it was late October. Ahh!

We got home yesterday in time for me to mow the lawn. I was feeling pretty good about myself until I found that our septic system isn't working now. I called the plumber, and I hope he'll make it over today. Yuck.

Anyway, lots of work to catch up on. I hope y'all have a great day! :)

We had a great week, just hanging at the lake with friends. Lots of boat rides & cook outs! Mercy was it HOT outside though!! Whew!!! Friday & Saturday finally cooled off...but it was warm yesterday & it's heating up again today!

Family Olympics were a blast yesterday! I'm telling ya - my family 'aint right. :p I told my mom that yesterday & she said "It took you this long to figure that out??" Ha ha! Too fun!
Lucy had a good birthday party on Saturday! She had more fun in her pool all week ~ she was crazy in there!! I made a cake for the dogs. They gobbled it up! She's 1 year old now! Big girl! ;) ♥
