Christmas Countdown - 2018

[Holiday]

Good morning all.

First day of football practice this evening. I am going to spend a few hours writing today before practice.
Henry is out with my wife and mother-in-law doing back to school shopping. Yep, you read that right... back to school shopping. School starts in a month.

I will be listening to Kringle Radio today while writing. We will see how many Christmas song lyrics make it into my paper.

Glad that you had fun at Jim’s families party, and that the weather was good to you. The food sounds delicious!!

If it’s got to be Monday, at least you’re doing it right with the windows open and Hallmark Christmas movies on TV!

Food was great! Supposedly we are only having one more "big family" party on my hubby's Dad's side, which will be Thanksgiving. It's bittersweet.

I'm checking in from a hotel in Atlanta. We left home at 4:45 this morning to get to an 8 o'clock meeting, and we've been in meetings all day. We finally cut loose for the hotel about an hour ago, and now I'm waiting to meet the others for dinner.

Elizabeth's final The Little Mermaid performance was perfect! I have to admit, I was getting used to a bit of notoriety myself, as Ariel's father LOL. Really, though, I think she'll benefit from a little rest before The Addams Family rehearsals start.

I saw a house on the way to Atlanta that was covered in Christmas lights!

Merry Monday...last full week of July how did that happen?
Looks like we are going to have showers and humidity for the week.
My daughter's foot got stepped on in the middle of her soccer game last night. It is so swollen and I think she is definitely going to be bruised. When we got home we iced it and some advil. We'll see how it is today.
I am just having a cup of coffee and going through emails. Hope you all have great day!

Good morning MMC! A late check in from me! I was with mom this morning until the Amish came & I can't deny I had to go home & take a little siesta before coming to work. I didn't sleep great at her house last night! I couldn't keep my peepers open!! Then I got a call from Mandy (Amish) that mom was still sleeping at 10:30 this morning!! She didn't want to wake up! So I went over & helped to get her out of bed. She was really sleeping good ~ felt bad waking her! But Hospice was coming around 11 so we wanted her to eat something, etc. She's been a piece of work! Dementia is real!!

We had a family party on my hubby's side yesterday. They made homemade elephant ears & ribbon fries! Everybody brought a dish. It was so nice out - at Jims Aunts campground/woods. It wasn't a great turnout but it was nice chatting with the peeps that were there.

Not much up for today besides work. The weather is beautiful. I've got the windows open! Hallmark on tv! It's all good for a Monday!!

So this is the time of year when I start to look into the winter weather forecast! Some of the preliminary stuff comes out, obviously very early but interesting none the less! Past couple of years here in Chicago area has been pretty mild, so let's hope for a snowy winter!
