Merry Monday MMC!
I was just outside with Rocky and boy is it hot out there. No relief in sight, the steamy weather will continue all week. Just a typical day of errands and chores for me. Other than that Rocky, the kitty cats and I will be hanging out in the A/C. I’m going to grill chicken & vegetable kabobs for dinner. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a wonderful week ahead!

Good morning MMC!! Looks like I have some catching up to do on here! ♥ We had such a nice (and HOT) weekend at the lake, but it sure is Monday!! Jim got called into work at 3:23 AM this morning! (What a rude awakening!!) We were still at the lake, so he had to drive home to get his uniform & then head into work. Good news is he got off work around 8:45 this morning, which is unusual...he will enjoy that!! Even though it's going to be another hot one!
Today is my Mom #2's 86th birthday! Can't believe she's 86! We celebrated with her yesterday, listening to our friend sing/play guitar at the lake! So fun!
Lucy is doing very well after being spayed. We took off the cone right away & put on her onesie. We might be trusting her too much, but we even took that off. She really isn't messing with her incision. xx Still feel bad for her!! Poor girl! But she looked so cute! ♥

All is right with the world. When football starts, Christmas isn't far behind!

My neighbor had football on her TV Friday when I was there. I just couldn't even...not time yet!!! (Or at least it doesn't seem like it!!!)
And the Urban Meyer controversy doesn't help either! UGGGGGGGG

** TRAVEL ALERT! **

Well, this is it. Our annual trip to Florida and South Carolina to visit relatives!
We will be leaving early Monday morning and returning late Sunday afternoon.
As such, a volunteer (or volunteers) will be needed for this coming Monday through Sunday mornings.
A full week of owning and controlling the count any way you like it!
Any takers?

Happy Friday to everyone!

Very glad it's Friday. Yesterday was a heavy workday ... I know I read and marked about 120 pages. I'm hoping today is easier! Weekends will be busy now, as it's time to choose, compile, and edit Christmas clips for this year's DVD.

The result is enjoyable and (hopefully) entertaining, but the actual work can be tedious and frustrating ... trying to get a fade-in or fade-out or transition to hit just right, trimming unwanted audio, trying to get the timing just right on a title or caption ... and this year I'm using a new software that I'm totally unfamiliar with, so I'm learning inch by inch as I work, frequently stopping to Google for instructions on how to do something. But I hope once I have it under my belt it'll go easier next year and following years. Once a clip is finished to my satisfaction, it feels good to watch it.

We DO watch our own annual Christmas DVDs from past years and enjoy them a lot, and occasionally surprise ourselves with something we didn't remember! I'm not sure how many we've done, but I think this year will be the 9th or 10th. Before that we did 10 years of Christmas CDs, mostly funny/silly/crazy/vintage/rare audio. So the annual "show" is nearly a 20-year tradition!

Good afternoon everyone! Stumbled across this thread and thought i would post.

If you can, keep your fingers crossed for me please, I am buying my first home and I’m on the final stages before a mortgage offer is issued and I just cannot wait! Solicitors are all waiting and ready to go, so just need the offer in front of me then I can get excited.

What makes it even better, it’s a November completion date which means I should be in for Christmas.

I've now been retired a month and highly recommend it. We had some excitement last night. A bear was in our yard again. We have seen him a couple times so he must be settled in near us.

Merry Friday!

On Wednesday I talked to the owner of another antique/vintage mall and today I sent a request for a booth to start in September. I so hope I get it! This place lets you put in pretty much what you want so I can put some handmade items and other things I've picked up that was made at a date beyond which allowed at the current place I am at. The rent is reasonable and there is no commission at this time. Having one more place will keeping me hopping!

There was a brief downpour here yesterday and today the pond is up almost four inches! YAY!!

Sorry that you & Jill got chased off the beach!!

Yes, Harlowe is on Nexgard. Every month, no breaks. We usually find them when they are crawling, when we’re still out on a walk. They can still bite her, and that is when they ingest the poison. They can also still embed, and it takes some time for them to die unfortunately. The idea is for them to die before they are embedded long enough to share disease. They are nasty.

That makes sense~ hope that you, Jill & the kitties stay safe!!

Ticks creep me out!! We forgot the flea/tick meds when I picked Lu up on Friday, so Jim needs to pick some up on his route this week from the vet. (He delivers there)

I was gritting my teeth over it this weekend for a few hours, but I have a few basics under my belt now. Still wrestling with various commands, but starting to find what I need to use. But unless I can accelerate the learning curve, I worry about finishing everything in time! The DVD usually includes about 15 clips, some requiring a lot of editing and tweaking to work, others just needing a fade-in, fade-out, and a second or two of "slug" at the end.

Good morning ... taking a break from getting ready for our sons birthday party today. Almost everything is done, just need to pick up a few odds/ends, sweep the floors, get the meatballs in the crockpot and go pick up the cake LOL. Have great day

Good morning MMC! It’s supposed to rain all day so it will be a day of laundry! We picked up my youngest daughter at camp last night and she had a great time! My husband left this morning for his golf trip and will be back on Monday. It should be a quiet weekend. I think we may have Chipotle for dinner if the rain is not too bad. Hope you all have a great day!

It's going to be a warm one all week. The humidity was 100% this morning. I really don't know what that means. I thought we'd be under water if it was 100%, but obviously not.

Will try to stay in the air conditioned spaces today because there won't be much of a breeze to cool off with outside. Laundry's done and I have errands this afternoon. Maybe make some bread in the evening when it's cooler.

Stay cool all and the 'bers will be here before you know it.

It’s another humid day here, storms are back this afternoon.

It’s been a productive morning around the house. We did some housework, yard work, and laundry.

Tonight we are heading out to dinner for Adrian’s Birthday. And checking out a microbrewery. I’m hoping to try a new Oktoberfest beer.

I love the Lienie's Harvest Patch!!! I just saw they now have a Berry Shandy. Is that anything like their Lemonberry Shandy, do you know? That was my absolute fave!!!!
