Well, I didn’t get good news at the dentist. First off, the dentist is the one thing I hate literally more than anything. Anyway, I had my first cavity ever in 33 years last month. I had it filled and a week or so after that, I started having pain and it continued to have more and more, so I called last week about it. I didn’t have pain before at all with it. The dentist had noted a surface cavity and said he should fill it, before it got worse. I wasn’t due for x-rays yet, so none were done. Well needless to say, they did x-rays today and I have an abscess and need a root canal. I am just sick. He admitted he possibly didn’t go deep enough, but there is no way to know, since I didn’t have x-rays. I don’t fault my dentist. He’s been amazing with my son and was just trying to save me money, (since my insurance won’t cover the x-rays at the time) but it just stinks. I guess it’s the way it goes. I’m waiting for the oral surgeon to call me back - my dentist called and wanted me in right away, so hopefully they can get me in pretty quickly.

Oh, that is rough ~ keeping you in prayer!

Good morning all! Just getting the day started. Kids are up and moving school and I'm waiting on my niece to get here for the day. DH is working - he's the boss today - the assistant chief (he hasn't had to do it for awhile, because he's only a captain and only does the assistant chief when someone is sick or on vacation.) He was worried he wasn't going to remember all the adm. stuff, but I told him to just get out his book, that he wrote everything down in or someone is just a phone call away, that he would be fine!

As far as this evening, DD has a end of the year band concert. She plays the viola. She's in the 4th grade. At this age, they don't get much practice at school, but she has been practicing a lot at home and teaching herself a lot of new material. She's very talented for DH and myself not playing any instruments - she's taught herself the guitar and piano too!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

That's great that she's so musical; I took piano when I was little, but quit because it wasn't comfortable to sit that way. I played guitar; got one for Christmas and never really got into it because pressing on the cords gave me calluses. The most success I had was with the trombone and baby tuba, but I never kept it up.

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

We finally put the last of the Christmas stuff in the attic yesterday. I told Nancy we should leave it out, in preparation for Christmas in July. That got a laugh. She doesn't let me decorate for CiJ, so I hang ornaments on my ficus tree at work LOL.

Having dinner with Jacob tonight.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

What's the point of putting it all away; we'll be in "the season" in 190 days. HaHaHoHo

Speaking of CIJ- only 6 weeks till QVC kicks it off. For newbies here. You don’t want to miss it. The earth is still shaking from some of the antics. Yabba!

Merry Pines Day MMC ~
It’s going to be a nice day, partly sunny with highs near 65. I’m going to do some shopping today for Mother’s Day. Not sure what I want to get mom this year but hopefully I’ll find the perfect. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be pasta with Bolognese sauce, mozzarella bread and a salad. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day!
xx

Does anyone know the weekend when it airs? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I am off!

Good morning all! Today is going to be a pretty laid back day. I don't think we have anything planned. I plan on trying to do a little bit of housework, but other than that, that's my only plans. Our washer crapped the bed the other day - it was a simple part thankfully and cost less than $10o to fix, so when that comes, we'll have a lot of wash to catch up on.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning, Mid-Weekers!
Yep. We have already reached the peak-of-the-week, which means open house at the 'Pines this evening, always something to look forward to at the weekly half-way point.

But there are other things to look forward to, no matter where in the week we are.
For instance:
Days to the Season: 189
Days to Christmas Day: 231

And we are really looking forward to the date one week from today.
That, of course, is the day that we reach the HALF WAY marker to Christmas Season 2019!
(Can you feel the excitement in the air?)

More beautiful weather was had here yesterday. We continue to be spoiled and primed for a rude awakening once the hot temps and high humidity arrive, which could be any time now that we are in May.
Today's prediction shows a high of 80 with a 40 percent chance of rain.
Our current reading is 66 degrees here at our house.

As mentioned above, we have arrived at another 'Pines Day and Carl, as always, is at the door to beckon and lure all visitors inside for the first complimentary fired twinkie and tall glass of sweet southern iced tea.
What else is planned? No telling. Bu you'll have to attend to find out!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I have to leave for a few hours though lunch today. I'm going with mom to her first radiation treatment, just to make sure she's comfortable with it. Another local friend of hers is having the same treatment, and told her that it's a breeze. That really made mom feel a lot better about it.

Elizabeth is currently taking an A/P English exam, then she and her graduating class are leaving at lunch for two nights in Orlando at Disney. It still makes me nervous for her to travel that far without me, but college starts in a few months, so I guess I better start learning to let go. Ugh.:(

Anyhoo, we rescheduled our dinner with Jacob to tonight. I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Prayers for your mom as she endures her first treatment. That's great you'll be there with her and it's wonderful too that she has someone who is going through it, to help her.

Safe travels for Elizabeth - hope she has a wonderful time!

Good afternoon ... Not much going on today, work and then hubbys softball game tonight. I have been browsing pinterest a lot more lately looking at all the Halloween and Christmas stuff. I am at the point where I really could just skip the dog days of summer and enjoy the Bers that much sooner :)

I never heard of anything treatment related being a "breeze"; let's hope it is.

Once upon a time, when I had returned to the same city as my parents and my mom and I were bonding over a game of Trivial Pursuit, she told me she never stopped worrying about me the whole 5 years I lived in Toronto. I think it's your job to worry.

When I was in High School we never went further than Science North in one direction and Black Creek Pioneer Village in the other direction; my granddaughter has been to Europe with her school - so cool.

Well ... the doctor sent me home today from work.

He suggested I not be there until the test results are in and also to give my body a rest. Not sure if I'm contagious; I told him I had already been back to work since last Thursday. The only results returned so far was blood work with one reading he didn't like, the others were normal for me.

Last Friday when I said my symptoms seemed to have disappeared after I dropped off the samples, well they returned that night and have continued since with 8-12 trips to the lieu a day. I just didn't want to go on and on about it.

I can understand why I have felt so exhausted by dinner time lately. I don't seem to have any other symptoms so the doctor is going to hook me up with a colonoscopy. Although I am an optimist; I immediately thought about all the problems my mom had and I'm having trouble turning off the worry machine.

Taking a dose of my own medicine ... :brr

trying to keep a merry thought in my head. :lightman
