I had to go to Huntsville today and I stopped at the Christmas Tyme store and spent $145.00 on ornaments enough for a few exchanges and a few things for me.

I couldn't believe how very green everything is compared to a month ago. Wow! The grass, the trees - everything was looking more like summer than spring today.

Thanks for all the well wishes about O'Malley the cat; she didn't even check his litter box or anything - took one look at him and said, "He looks healthy enough and you and he don't have rabies so I can close the file." She added that since he doesn't get outside and there are no other animals here that I no longer have to worry about having him vaccinated against rabies which is a bonus because he is a grumpy puss and doesn't make it easy for me to get him in his cat carrier - which is really a small dog cage.

Stay Jolly! Or as the cat would say, "MERAWL!":ornarment

I stumbled onto my first Christmas forum quite by accident. It's been over 16 years I think. I wondered if I'd still have stories to share after all that time and find it rather merry that I do.

Before the Christmas forum life, I was a closet lover; I listened to merry tunes in the off-season with headphones and only spoke of Christmas about 4 times a year and then that increased a bit and then I found a Christmas site where other people thought about Christmas all year and I was marvelled by their merry enthusiasm.

A few times I had trouble getting here as much as I do now; life gets in the way sometimes, but several of us are quite steady posters. One thing that stands true is that once you hang your stocking on the mantel you can come and go and it will still be there.

We always leave the merry porch light on for those who wish to enter.

I love how you described the site! It’s so true!

The oldest known living woman in America; died yesterday at 114 and she was from my city. I didn't know her, but I knew her Great Nephew. He passed away in 2017 from cancer.
114 - wow.

This is so beautiful AMD. Our community is beautiful and we have lots of love-Christmas and generally-to share!

Wow! That’s amazing. She must have had an amazing and blessed life.

And she was in reasonably good health - only spent time in the hospital back '39 after a difficult birth for one of her daughters.

Amazing really.

Amazing really.

We have 102 year olds at the retirement community I work at who use a punching bag, run, and volunteer daily, and I met a 106 year old a few years back with the most amazing stories. Our seniors are incredible people with much to continue offering to the word!!

That is such great news Auntie! So happy for you and O’Malley :)

The nearest drive-in to us is in Jesup, about an hour away. When I was in high school, that's where I was every Sunday evening.
We're two and half hours from Jesup. o_O
When I was in high school (in Indiana), my best friend lived about a quarter of a mile beyond the back side of the screen thru a field. We would camp out in the woods adjacent to the field and then walk over to the drive-in, hop the fence, and go find some friends to hang out with. Good times.

Good Friday morning! Up early to get a workout in before work. My last work day before nine days of vacation. My to-do list is very long because I’ve been training new hires on and off all week and haven’t had a lot of time for my own work, so I know it will be a very busy day. Have a great one everyone!

Busy - busy day ahead for me.

Work
Get husband's car ready for #1 son to take back to Ottawa on Sunday - just have to move my stuff out of the trunk and double-check other contents and remove USB drive with tons of music including a few merry tunes.
Relay for Life appearance from 5:30-800 p.m. - Only second year in my history of participation that it won't rain.
Slept really good last night - cat woke me shortly after 4:05, I thought it was 4:55 so I got up and then was like - geesh Mal I could have used extra time - he hasn't sprung ahead.

Keep a merry thought in your head! -mistletoe-

Happy 1st TGIF of June MMC! The plan today for me is to do what I need to at work this morning and then leave around noon. I have not let my body recover and I'm feeling it. I've tried to drag myself through the week and not call in sick which I haven't done but that has caused my body to not fully recover. I will be fine with an afternoon to rest, evening to rest, and a weekend to take it easy (well I never fully stop but at least slow down a little). Have a great 1st TGIF of June!

Everyone’s busy today it sounds like! Have a great time, get some rest this weekend, and enjoy upcoming vacations!

I’m working, going to the library and gym, and then my best friend is coming over to relax and spend some time with me. I can’t wait!

Have a wonderful Friday and a fabulous weekend!! We made it!!

Good Morning MMC !

I need to get back to hanging out here more.
Been going through a rough patch, not sure what is going on. I feel like a gopher who pokes its head out once in awhile, smiles, waves then quickly retreats into its hole again. I have only been going out when I have to got to work or drive someone somewhere. You guys are the first I have told this to because this is the only place I feel safe to do so. Am I weird or what ?
