Good afternoon all,
Thank you for all of the prayers and positive thoughts. My MIL is stable right now, but still in ICU. She is awake and able to communicate at least some, which is some progress from early yesterday.
Of course my FIL is struggling too. He has been fighting cancer for the last couple of years and I think all of the back and forth to the hospital and rehab everyday is keeping him from taking care of himself. He is having really bad back pain and it is likely associated with the cancer and treatment. His back pain has gotten so bad that he can hardly get up from a seated position and is struggling to walk sometimes.
My wife and her sister are trying to be there as much as possible right now, but that means time away from work. I am holding the fort down here at home, so that is one less thing my wife has to worry about.

Hopefully somethings move in a more positive direction for them soon.
Thanks again for all of the prayers and positive thoughts.

I hate to hear that they are struggling like this, but it's wonderful to know they have you and your family there for them. Continued prayers for all of you.

Up and at it; went to bed without doing the dishes last night - naughty auntie.

Got them done now and cleaned the cat dishes as well, had my coffee, about to have breakfast and get ready for work.

We have a staff meeting tonight so it will be a longer day than usual for me and then I'm off for three days.

Anyone else hearing Monster Mash in their heads lately?

-reindeer-Stay jolly - don't be spooky! -grinch-

Hope you have a great day and are able to enjoy your days off, as well as the concert. You deserve it!

Hello again friends!

Thought i'd crawl out of the woodwork for my yearly dose of Festive Frivolity.

Of course, something is different this Christmas.. I just moved back to the UK after a decade away in Switzerland.. and i'm enjoying the ramp-up to a proper blighty-based Chrimbo.

Tesco already has Chrimbo sweeties out, M&S already selling decorations, it's all very exciting.

I'm also now engaged to be married. Much joy this Chrimbo!

Big love

Wow! Congrats on the move and the engagement! So exciting!

Happy Tuesday!!
Looks like we will have a nice day. My oldest daughter starts PT for her knee tonight.
Work for me and I need to catch up on some laundry!!
Can't believe we are so close to Halloween!

Praying PT goes well.

Good morning MMC ~
It’s going to be cloudy today with showers and a high of 59 degrees. I just walked the dogs, tidied up the house and started laundry. I’m running to the supermarket soon to pick up a couple of things. Back home to work on chores. I also have plans to visit my parents this afternoon. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx

Enjoy the visit with your parents! How have the been?

Good morning everyone! Sitting enjoying my coffee right now and catching up here. I have my niece today and she's been sleeping since she got here around 8:15. She must not have slept well last night. Otherwise, I'm just catching up on some emails and the boards for now. Hope you all have a great day!

Good Second-Workday-of-the-Week Morning, Folks!
Moving right along into the week and ever closer to the holidays.

Let's check on the status straight away:
Days to Halloween: 9 (SINGLE DIGITS!)
Days to the Season: 22 (Three weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 64 (Under half a week away from the 2 month mark!)
Time begins to grow short, my Friends.

Really quite nice here yesterday, as we returned to the 70's and had a sunny day with no rain and only gentle breezes.
Today shows a chance for some severe weather, as that midwest storm system passes by. A very good shot at rain if nothing else.
Our present day-starting temperature is 63 degrees here, and it's rather overcast.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!
Thanks Crown! I noticed the stores are filling up with Christmas cheer now.

Happy Tuesday! Monday went fast with being in the Conference Room training one of our national managers. Today will be "regular" work with some computer detective work.

My Mom is 87 today. She's in Northern California for my niece's (her granddaughter) wedding. I'll see her at the end of next week when her travels bring her to SoCal.

Another Summer-like day in the Fall with a temp around 97. **ugh**

No, but I did hear "The Monster Swim", yesterday, on "Sounds of the Season".

My wife, and our son, are driving down to Illinois, this morning. My father - in - law's wife passed away after a several year struggle with dementia. The funeral is tomorrow, and they'll be back home, Thursday.

This is one of those bittersweet life moments. It is a blessing that she no longer has to deal with all of the side effects that come with the illness.

Truly, I haven't spoken to her actual self since Summer 2016. By Summer 2018 she didn't know us anymore.

All of the uncertainty is gone...She is finally at peace.
