Is there a better feeling then sitting in your living room with all of the lights off and nothing but the tree(s) lit? All of my other trees have been up since November 1st and I love them all but my live tree got finished today and it is so beautiful. It is my official start to Christmas. It was the year for the purple and silver tree, but we could not locate the purple ornaments, so we skipped ahead a year to the multi-colored lights and ornaments and it just looks so Christmassy. What an awesome feeling this is!

That's what I like to do at least twice during the season to reflect on Christmases past and the folks who aren't around to celebrate anymore and then to think about the merry friends at MMC and my work-mates and strangers.

And now and then I just sit and admire the tree and just enjoy the peace and quiet or sometimes I'll listen to Christmas music at the same time.

Fun!Fun!Fun at the Shispering Pines last night.

Carl outdid himself on the fine feast and special blends.

O'Malley and Carl put on a great show teaching us how to dance to the turkey strut.

My wings are still sore. HaHa.

I'm trying to get tomorrow off to finish up my cards and wrap more gifts; won't know until this afternoon; I put in my request last week; only one other person is off so it should work out.

Good Morning Folks, and a very Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! I hope you have an exciting and enjoyable day today.

And thus we are down to a single count:
Days to Christmas Day: 27 (Now UNDER 4 weeks left to go!)

We had one last good day yesterday, although it came with a little rain.
Today will be cooler, with highs in the 50's rather than the 60's, but it should be dry and sunny for this holiday!
Our commencing temperature reading here at this hour is 47 degrees.

May each and every one of you have a well-deserved and Thoroughly Thrilling Thanksgiving Thursday today, my Friends!

Turkeys do fly ... I was startled once by a big blobby brown thing with wings flying across the road at a low level. Took me a moment to recognize that it was a turkey, as I'd seen some by the roadside. I hope never to meet one face to face, as they're supposed to be aggressive. (Today, can you blame them?)
