Happy Monday! Slowly tackling away at the list I have, that I want to get accomplished before I head back to work. I'm sitting here now, going through emails and clipping some coupons. I have my niece today, as well as tomorrow. DH took the kids to the dentist. I hope here at some point this afternoon or this evening, to have him run me to the DG or something, just to get me out of the house for 30 minutes or so. I haven't been out of the house more than 5 minutes or so at a clip and I'm going a little stir crazy.

Nothing new here - dinner tonight is gnocchi. Kids will eat them, but not crazy about it, so we'll probably just make them spaghetti. We'll make some salad and bruschetta to go with it.

I hope you're all having a fantastic day!

Good Monday evening! After the storm yesterday that left us with about 10 inches of snow and when I almost got stuck 3 times, we are still dealing with incredibly cold temperature, currently at -28°C/-18°F with the wind. Tomorrow should be the last of it for a little while. David had his pre-op appointment this morning. His EKG was normal and the anesthesist explained how the surgery will go. He also warned him that shoulder surgery is a very painful one. We got up very early to make sure we were on time at the hospital which is about an hour away, knowing roads were not 100% clear yet. I guess I was tired because I slept all afternoon. We'll just enjoy a relaxing evening catching up on the dvr. Wishing everyone a great Monday night.

HoHoHello! :ringy

Not much planned for today, still bitterly cold out there; will likely be staying inside where it's warm since I don't have anything pressing to take care of today.

Decided to surprise the gang at work by sneaking a sweet treat on or near Rudolph Day each month to help with my inner excitement of the countdown to Christmas. Christmas cookies and chocolates have a longer shelf life than I realized; most are 6-9 months and some longer. Every now and then I'll offer some Clementines.

First up, chocolate dipped sugar cookies for next week. +j

Stay jolly!
Love it!!! ♥

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

As predicted, we got a couple inches of rain Saturday night, and then it turned cold and windy. I spent Saturday working on my side business, and Sunday at mama's. Nancy worked all weekend, because it's Tax Season. Grrr. I hate tax season.

My tree is still up! Not because I'm making a statement; I've just been too lazy to take it down. LOL

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
Mine is still up too. Partially b/c I'm still enjoying it, partially b/c I've been too lazy to take it down! ;) It's a lot of work to only enjoy for such a short time! :p

Happy Monday! I am having a lazy morning, drinking coffee. My youngest woke up not feeling well..sounds like it could be start of the stomach bug. Ugh! It is freezing out there so I am planning on staying in for most of the day and catching up on laundry. Hope you all have a great day!
Hope your daughter is feeling better! xx

Good Morning from a chilly Central Indy where we currently stand at 4 degrees. I don’t have much planned today. Just going to try and stay warm. I may run to the store this afternoon to get milk if I feel adventurous. I hope everyone has a great day!!!
We topped out with a high of a whopping 7º today. Brrrrrr! Hope you stayed warm n cozy!

Happy New Week! Keep warm!

VERY cold and windy here. So very happy that it's a holiday so we can stay and and keep cozy. Had a great time last night running a long double feature on our new wide movie screen.
Hope you enjoyed your day off!!!

Brrrr... good morning .... I love it when its cold enough to snow and it snows but this ... this single digits, neagative wind chill factor and the wind strong enough to take you to OZ has got to go. I think I will do some baking today .. the hot oven will help keep it warm in here. Hope everyone stays warm today.
Hope you enjoyed your day too!

Sounds good - thanks for sharing! I missed the name though!
I guess she never told me the name - just gave me the ingredients. We can have a "Name that recipe" contest. LOL

Praying all goes well for your hubby. I hope he has as much luck with his shoulder surgery as my brother did. He was in so much pain w/ his shoulder before surgery, it felt better after (right after) than it did when he was trying to sleep, etc. before. Fingers crossed! xx

Happy Monday to all. It was bitterly cold this morning with the wind chill making it feel like -34C/ -29F. Luckily I changed the battery last week in the car, so it started. It wasn't too happy but it started. This is the first time I've had to change the battery and the car is from 2011. We're supposed to warm up by the middle of the week, but drop down again by the weekend.

Pantry shopping has been going well. I had to pick up a few things, like fruit, juice, and some veg, but overall I've cleaned out the freezer fairly well and we still have about ten days to go. I've even made some vegan cheese out of cashews that were sitting in the cupboard. I've also made some breakfast cookies out the last of the rolled oats: chocolate peanut butter. They were quite yummy.

There's now a gate at the top of the stairs so the dog can't visit the FIL and scoop up anything left on the ground. The dog's vet appointment is tomorrow to check how things are going. There isn't any build-up in his ears and he's not scratching as much, so that's good. We also put some bars in the bathroom for the FIL to help with his bath. Turns out that he couldn't stand to step out the bath because he didn't feel stable, so he used to roll out to the tub. We didn't know this until he told us last month. He didn't tell us because he didn't want to be a bother. Now there are bars so he can grab hold of them and step out with more stability. It's been a learning curve, I'll tell you.

Take care all and please keep warm.

So nice that you are helping your FIL & making sure he is safe! ♥

It was a hit!
It's:
1 C. of chopped broccoli (I think spinach would be good too)
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 C. sour cream
1 pkg. Good Seasonings Italian dressing mix
2 C. Cheddar Cheese (or any cheese you want to use)
Bake at 350 until all melted together.
I put it in a pie pan. And I mixed in a good part of the cheese, but I saved some to melt on top too. I'll make it again!
I had tortilla chips & small pretzel rods to dip in it. My co-worker said she uses pita chips, but the recipe says to use veggies...so basically whatever you want to serve it with! ;)
This sounds great! Thanks for sharing!

LOL! Let me read the ingredients again, think about it over night and I'll get back to you tomorrow! HAHA

Glad to hear all is going well! Hope the vet appointment goes well!

Good evening, all! Hope you're all trying to stay as warm as you can! It is just down right frigid here. By the time we wake up in the am, it's supposed to be 2F. The kids are already on a 2-hour delay. I have spent a good bit of the evening looking at a new costume for DD for baton, which has been time consuming. It is a special routine she is doing - Jungle Book theme. It isn't for until July thank goodness, so I have some time. I have also been doing some research on grocery stores and couponing. We have had several people telling us about Aldi and the savings we will have if we start doing our shopping there. Over the last day or so we I have done extensive research and we've decided we're going to do a shopping trip there tomorrow, so we shall see!

Other than that, just trying to stay warm! Hope you're all having a great evening!

Morning MMC! We are in the deep freeze but should recover closer to normal by tomorrow. Back to work after a 3 day weekend but this week isn't too bad so I should be able to go home almost on time for a change. That will be nice. And just trying to put on a few Christmas shows as we head towards Rudolph Day #1 incredibly. Have a great day!
