Really glad that your supervisor gave you a couple of days off after all the hours that you have put in. And the fact that it turns into a 5-day weekend is something to look forward to as you get through the beginning of next week.
It sure is! I have no big plans beyond resting up, crocheting, and maybe trying out a small-batch recipe for gingerbread.

My supervisor and I were BOTH puddling up and sharing a hug by the end of the day yesterday ... everyone is feeling some degree of burnout. My supervisor has been working even longer hours than I, and she has a family to take care of as well. As hard as it's hitting me, it must really be slamming her. But our workplace takes good care of its own, so something will eventually be worked out to mitigate the overloading. In the meantime, we'll soldier on.

Happy Saturday! Hooray for weekends! Sunny and mid-60s today, a genuine spring day. Getting some household errands done, and we'll probably step out for lunch later on. Been so busy this week, it'll be nice to catch up with Mr. over a lunch. We have some good stuff lined up to watch this evening, and I'm SO looking forward to some relaxation without watching the clock for bedtime and thinking about the next workday.

Thank you!
They closed the office at 2 p.m. today as a thank you for everyone’s hard work, BUT ... our department was still there past 6 taking care of work that had to be done today. So the hardest-working people didn’t get the benefit of the thank-you!

To be fair, I’m told they’re aware that people are being overworked, and they’re looking for a solution. And, thank goodness, my supervisor is giving me Thursday and Friday off next week to give me a breather. As the 15th is an office holiday (Patriot’s Day/Marathon Day), I will get a 5-day weekend if I can survive the first half of next week!

You're welcome!
Sweet that you are getting a 5-day weekend! :)

Good Sunday morning! Grey skies for now but it’s mild and the sun should come out later today. We’re about to head out to do some grocery shopping and my clothes are ready to be picked-up at the seamstress. I did a load of laundry earlier and I have to wash our bed linens later on. We’ll also be de-cluttering our entryway closet. Time to put away our Winter gear, always a great feeling bringing out our Spring/Summer coats and hats. Have a great end to your weekend everyone!

Good Morning, Folks!
Exciting NCAA games yesterday afternoon/evening, and it's Virginia vs Texas Tech in the final tomorrow.
Since I'm in ACC territory here, I'll be pulling for VA!

OK. Enough of sports.
On with the count:
Days to the Season: 220
Days to Christmas Day: 262

Steadily we advance on our twin Milestone markers, both arriving before month's end.
The first will be the 1/3 Christmas Day point, arriving in a scant 19 days.
The second is the 200-DAY SEASON WINDOW set to be here in 20 days.
BOTH markers now UNDER three weeks up the road.
(The excitement slowly builds.)

Nice indeed here yesterday, when we reached 67 for our afternoon high with just a bit of morning rain.
Today will see us get even warmer, with a predicted top temp of 74 and only a 20 percent chance of precipitation.
This weekend day two has commenced here in the heart of ACC country at 57 degrees.

Have a Super Sunday, Everyone!

Thanks Crown! Glad to see some people are finally getting some civil weather.

Thanks Crown! We're having a beautiful spring weekend here!

Well, the ducks are all quacked up about the weather - the ravens are finding grubs in the trees. the snow that exceeded the 3 foot fence is down to the lowest rail, the creek is swimmable for aquatic life, it's been misty the last two days so the snow is slowly melting away - good thing we aren't flooding.

Been a hard couple of days and my plans to drop my husband off to one of the boys when I go to Toronto failed as he refuses to go. He doesn't want me driving that far.

Chatting with #2 son to come up with a plan.

The couple that I wanted to give our spare key to while I was gone have their own worries. I had no idea our neighbour has been in the hospital since after New Year's. She had brain surgery and is slowly recovering in a local hospital.

Another neighbour who actually works at the care centre (not part of our team though) will accept the key in the event of an emergency, she can let the EMS team in if I'm unavailable or too far from home. I don't want to give it to her though, I feel like I'm taking advantage of her and there's always that fine line between neighbour and keeper of the keys thing. Just easier then breaking down the door to help.

I can't be here for all the health care visits this week so I'm leaving notes for the O.T., P.T. and VON for different concerns.

The cat is getting used to the visitors (not always the same ones) and even let one pet him the other day.

Gonna chill and watch a movie. It will likely be a drama - but I should be watching a comedy.

Enjoy the evening - get ready for your week ahead and STAY JOLLY!
