Good Morning, Everybody!

The half-way point to Christmas Season 2019 looms nearer and nearer.
The shocking facts follow the presentation of today's data release.

Days to the Season: 190
Days to Christmas Day: 232

And just how far off is that half-way marker?
Try EIGHT days on for size.
ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW!
(Believe it or not, Folks.)

Nice here yesterday, with our high in the upper 70's and no rain.
The winds were calm and it was sunny most of the day.
And with still low humidity, near absent pollen fall and a lower mosquito count, it was the best of times.
Today shows a predicted high of 80 with only a 10 pecent chance of rain.
Starting out this morning, we discover our thermometer reads 62 degrees here at this hour.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Friends!

Oh no!! Sorry to hear this...I have had 2 root canals and they were not as bad as I anticipated at all. I hate the dentist too, even getting cleanings I grip the side of the chairs...lol Both times I had them by an endodontist. Good Luck!

Thanks for words of advice, SFM! You sound like me. I am the same way. I will be going to an endodontist as well. Thanks again!

Good morning all! Just getting the day started. Kids are up and moving school and I'm waiting on my niece to get here for the day. DH is working - he's the boss today - the assistant chief (he hasn't had to do it for awhile, because he's only a captain and only does the assistant chief when someone is sick or on vacation.) He was worried he wasn't going to remember all the adm. stuff, but I told him to just get out his book, that he wrote everything down in or someone is just a phone call away, that he would be fine!

As far as this evening, DD has a end of the year band concert. She plays the viola. She's in the 4th grade. At this age, they don't get much practice at school, but she has been practicing a lot at home and teaching herself a lot of new material. She's very talented for DH and myself not playing any instruments - she's taught herself the guitar and piano too!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

She sounds like my kids; they both have musical talents that go far beyond Nancy's or mine! Congrats on such a dedicated young lady!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

We finally put the last of the Christmas stuff in the attic yesterday. I told Nancy we should leave it out, in preparation for Christmas in July. That got a laugh. She doesn't let me decorate for CiJ, so I hang ornaments on my ficus tree at work LOL.

Having dinner with Jacob tonight.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Thank you, Brad! DH and I were both very athletic, which she is too, which unfortunately with baton all year around, that takes up all her time. I'm sure with acting and singing with your kids, you saw that! I remind her all the time though - she is still an athlete - she still has to stay in shape, has to stretch, run, etc! She will be twirling in the band once she gets to jr. high and wants to keep playing the viola for concert band is her plan. I'm not sure what DS will play. I think he can start next year, but he's teaching himself the guitar.

I say every year I'm going to do a CIJ party. I pin to a board on Pinterest. One of these years I'll finally get around to doing it!

Enjoy dinner with Jacob tonight!

I doubt the dinner will go well. Nancy just found out that he has planned a week-long trip to an outdoor concert in TN on the same weekend as our NY trip. Nancy insists that Jacob is coming with us, so this will likely be a showdown at the O.K. Corral.

Uh oh!
The joys of parenting.:D

Oh buddy - good luck! The joys of parenting. Hopefully Jacob picks the right path, but as we both know, he's an adult (even though you know and I know) it's not what you want to hear. I'm thinking of you guys, especially Nancy!!!

That’s awesome! We’re only about 45 minutes away from the main campus and just minutes from the Altoona campus. I’m a two time graduate also, but have bleed blue and white since the day I was born!
Medical Phenomenon Dept: She bleeds two different blue and whites. One for Penn State and the other for her alma mater, Luther College in Decorah IA.

Well, I didn’t get good news at the dentist. First off, the dentist is the one thing I hate literally more than anything. Anyway, I had my first cavity ever in 33 years last month. I had it filled and a week or so after that, I started having pain and it continued to have more and more, so I called last week about it. I didn’t have pain before at all with it. The dentist had noted a surface cavity and said he should fill it, before it got worse. I wasn’t due for x-rays yet, so none were done. Well needless to say, they did x-rays today and I have an abscess and need a root canal. I am just sick. He admitted he possibly didn’t go deep enough, but there is no way to know, since I didn’t have x-rays. I don’t fault my dentist. He’s been amazing with my son and was just trying to save me money, (since my insurance won’t cover the x-rays at the time) but it just stinks. I guess it’s the way it goes. I’m waiting for the oral surgeon to call me back - my dentist called and wanted me in right away, so hopefully they can get me in pretty quickly.
Owwww! Too bad ET doesn't do dental.

The varmint's got a gift, to be sure.:)

Merry Tuesday friends ~
I didn’t get a chance to post this morning, I headed out early to have breakfast with my mother. I ran errands and worked on chores afterward. I’m just having a quick cup of coffee right now and I’m going to start dinner soon, we’re having tacos tonight. I hope everyone is having a good day so far. Wishing everyone a nice night!
xx
