Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

We went to the movies last night. Nancy went with our niece and her boys to see Aladdin, and Jacob and I saw John Wick 3. Woo hoo, what an awesome movie! He must have ended 500 bad guys!! LOL

We also got just a sprinkling of rain! Not a real rain, but enough to settle the dust for a few hours, anyway.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Morning, Single Digit Sensations!

Yep. Single Digits to our next Milestone.
It's true.
We really are that close!

Days to the Season: 167
Days to Christmas Day: 209

Nine - count 'em - NINE days left until we arrive at and open the 200-Day Christmas Day Window, admiring that beautiful field of count numbers all starting with a "1".
(We've come a long way, Folks!)

Daily doses of 90 + temps gets old pretty fast.
A repeat is predicted for today before we cool down into the mid 80's by the end of the week.
We could use some rain, too. Things are pretty dry around here.
Our current thermometer reading is 73 degrees.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Guys!

Good morning, friends. School is out! We were out yesterday, but I had a wicked cold. Feeling much better today and taking a little time off. Took off yesterday, today, and tomorrow! There will be a lot to do, but I just wanted some down time before we get full-blown into next year.

Going to sit around and be lazy today. Y'all have a good one!

Good morning all!

Not much on the agenda for today. More rain in the forecast (of course).

Today is my wife's last day of school with the students. She has to go in tomorrow to clean up but then she is done for the summer.

I am really tired today, for no good reason, but I just cannot seem to wake up. A nap might be in my future.

HoHoHello,

Well, I moved my trip to two day trips next Monday and Wednesday and no overnight. Need more time with the antibiotics and to heal my driving foot that feels sprained, but I'm sure it's just from the tightness of the swelling from the infection.

I was asked by a dozen people what happened to my leg and each time I said, "my cat bit me"; they asked what I did to tick him off. It has been along time since he's done that and hopefully he won't make the mistake of a repeat.

I'm heading to the Pines without the cat for a tall sweet glass of southern iced tea; would prefer Evan Williams Southern Eggnog, but that might not be on the menu.

Keep a merry thought in your head! +j

Isn't a little warm for EWS Eggnog?:shakeit

Henry started track practice tonight. It is a low-key team through the YMCA. This is his third year doing and it is good because it keeps him active in June and gets him ready for football.

The nice thing is that my wife and I can walk around the track during practice. But boy am I out of shape! We were walking fairly quickly, but my legs are felling it!
Hope you didn't get injured too badly when your legs were "felling"...;)

Did you have a little too much fun at The Pines, last evening?

My wife & I are geared up to catch "John Wick 3", but life hasn't made room for it, as yet. It will have to wait another week minimum, as the grown children and grandvarmints will be with us all weekend.:D

It was great! I hope I didn't spoil it by saying he kills a lot of folks LOL. ;)

That's horrible.

I recall my mom's childhood friend getting swept up by a tornado when she was working in a school as a Nun and was rushing into warn everyone. I think she was in the outskirts of Chicago. That was back in the spring of '89, but it may have been August 1990. She was my mom's maid of honour at her wedding and she took it very hard, naturally. Mary was trying to get the children to the storm shelter. There were several fatalities and injuries with that one.

Tossing prayers up.

How incredibly sad!

Wow, praying for all of you!

Thank you, Brad! The weather got severe here - lots of rain, some flooding, severe thunderstorms, and hail. Out at my parents, which is appx. 30 minutes away, they had golf ball sized hail and a tornado. Thankfully, no one was injured and they no property damage done at their house, but just a few miles down the road, their was a family in their car when it came through and the dad laid on his children in the car, as trees fell all around them. They luckily were all okay too. Scary stuff!

Good morning all. More storms in the forecast today. Henry has track practice this evening (weather dependent).

The clean-up continues in and around Dayton. The destruction is pretty bad in many places. Still only one fatality reported. They have confirmed 5 tornadoes from the storms. The NWS is investigating two more today, so it is possible that they will confirm a total of 7!

The tornado that hit Dayton was an EF3. The one that hit Celina is still being looked at and will possibly be graded as an EF4.

Everyone have a great day.

So incredibly sad. The destruction out there looks so bad. Continued prayers for you all.

Merry Pines Day MMC ~
It’s going to be cloudy here today with a high of 66, we’re currently at 58 degrees. Storms will be moving in later today. Thoughts and prayers for those affected by the tornadoes, I was watching the coverage on the news this morning. It’s heartbreaking.
It will be a typical day of errands and chores for me. I’m also going to stop by my oldest daughters apartment to visit. She’s home from work, she’s not feeling well. I’m going to bring her over a little care package. That’s about it for me.
I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
xx

Prayers she starts to feel better soon!

Good morning ~
It’s going to be another cloudy day with chance of showers/storms later. I have to do some shopping today for my father, his birthday is this weekend. Hopefully I’ll find the perfect gift, I have a couple of things in mind. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day! :)
xx

Happy early Birthday to your dad!

Good evening all! Hope you've all had a nice day! I have the next 4 days off and work today, so I'll be heading to bed soon, but wanted to check in and say hello. Talk to you all in the am!

So incredibly sad. The destruction out there looks so bad. Continued prayers for you all.

Throughout the Miami Valley, there were 13 tornadoes from that one storm system. In all of Ohio, from that storm system, there were 19 tornadoes! 19 is Ohio's yearly average for tornadoes.

Improvements are being made. The city of Dayton finally got water service restored. There are still some places without power, but it is done to a few thousand, there were 70,000 without power at one point.

Lots of resources have been coming in from all over, and several school buildings are acting as housing units for those who lost their homes. It will take a long time before things are back to normal. As bad as it is, it could have been worse had people not listened to the news and alarms. The fact that there was only one fatality from all of that is incredible.
