Good morning, MMC and Happy Leon Day! I can't believe we're 6 months from Christmas Day! We're taking the kids to the local water park, as well as my sister, BIL, and niece are going with us. Work was crazy this weekend and I worked 15 hours yesterday, so I am so glad to be off today. Hope you all have a great one!

Sounds like fun; we took the grandkids to a water park Mont Cascades in Gatineau, Quebec many years ago and had a blast.

They have a huge tunnel run with holes cut out so it looks like you're traveling through a worm hole and you ride on a round inner tube with handles, but often feel like you're going to tip over because you ride up high back and forth on the sides as you head down the dark and into the blinding light and a big splash at the bottom.
Had a lovely picnic lunch as well with cold chicken, potato salad, etc.

It does and that sounds fun too! The water park isn't huge, but enough. There are amusement park rides too - we have season passes and it's 10 minutes or so away from the house, so it's nice.

Happy Leon Day all. I can't believe it's already the half-way mark. The year has gone by so quickly. I have the day off today, so I'll take the dog for a nice walk while listening to some Christmas podcast. It's supposed to hit 25C (77F) this afternoon, so I'll try to be indoors for that to stay cool.

I was watching one of the Hallmark channel's mysteries yesterday and they're doing Christmas in July. Two weeks of Christmas movies. I've probably seen most of them already as I assume they're just re-showing last year's, but there were a few worth watching again.

The FIL's dementia is slowing getting worse, but very slowly. Now there's a few times where he wants to explain something but the words are garbled. He then catches himself or tries to change the subject. This happens often when he's tired. He goes to a day program twice a week and they took a picture of him for Father's day. They photoshopped him with some fishing gear in the picture and we put it on the fridge. A few days later he didn't recognize who was in the picture. He likes going to the program, though, so that's good.

Well, let's mark the halfway point with some Christmas spirit. Maybe I'll make a Santa smoothie or winter milkshake! Take care.

Nice that your FIL is attending the day program; if he recognizes his confusion and is at all embarrassed by it, he may withdraw from those types of socializing opportunities; it goes with the denial.

Continuing good thoughts and prayers.

Well, our next Milestone. It's almost here. Just in the next room. It awaits, with its message of pending joy and anticipation.

Good Morning, Folks.
It's threshold time. (And you know of what I speak!)

Days to the Season: 141
Days to Christmas Day: 183

And TOMORROW is the day.
The day we arrive at the HALF WAY marker to Christmas 2019.
It's been a long haul but we are nearly there.
(Whew!)

Well, the heat and humidity returned with a vengence yesterday and it truly felt like summer.
And it should be rather warm and humid for most if not all of this week, so we had better start getting used to it. At least there is not too much rain predicted.
Today has begun with a temperature reading of 75 degrees, here.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!
Thanks Crown! Happy Leon Day!

Happy Hump / Pines Day - the week will fly by now! -reindeer-

I did it; got my tickets to Elton John's Farewell concert in October.

Had four side notes from fb friends offering their availability for the extra seat. HaHa. I should start a 200 word essay contest. Now I have to book my hotel in advance to make sure I can get one of the two places I prefer.

Drinking French Vanilla coffee out of my big Santa mug.

Guess who let his mama cat sleep until 4:55 - O'cat. That means he can come to the Pines tonight. Wonder what O'Malley and Carl were up to last time - working on an opera stage or summer play? I wonder.

Rain was expected today, but so far I see a blue sky and no clouds.

Keep a merry thought in your head!-surprise-

Good morning fellow Christmas lovers!
We're over half way back to Christmas and the most wonderful time of the year. Can you believe the 'Bers begin in 67 days?!

It's time for me to get to work. Have a wonderful day. :)

Happy Summer Vacations MMC! Looking forward to Crown's post today! I'm off the rest of this week. 19 out of these next 33 days I'm not working. Yes that includes weekends but that's still a heck of a stretch over a full month. I love taking time off in the summer. Have a great Pines Day!

Nice, Edge!! Enjoy your time off!

Happy Hump Day!!
Typical work day for me...one of the people I work with is leaving and going to another area. I am happy for him but that just gives us more work to do until they replace him..ugh! Oh well, we'll get through it. My daughter's softball game was canceled last night so we have a game tonight. At least it's sunny but looks like it is going to be a warm day.
Hope you all have a good Wednesday!

Hello, Hilarious Half-Wits.

<< Crown! That sounds mean! >>
You're right. I should have said "Half-Wayers".
Because we have most certainly arrived at the HALF-WAY point to Christmas!

<< But, we've got to verify it legally. To see.....if we....are morally, ethically, spiritually, physically, positively, absolutely undeniably and reliably there! >>
Well, as countmeister, I must aver, I've thoroughly examined the chart, and we aren't only merely there, we're really most sincerely there.
<< Then this is day of indep....I mean celebration! >>
Sure is!

Days to the Season: 140
Days to Christmas Day: 182

And TOMORROW Folks, we commence the second half of our journey and look ahead to the next Milestone marker.....something I'm afraid to do until tomorrow!

It was quite warn and humid yesterday as predicted, but we did not see any rain.
Today will be another dry one, with a predicted high of 91.
Currently, we stand at 73 degrees here in our sector of the grand MMC Nation.

Well OK, then. The first 'Pines open house of summer!
Next to Christmas, this is Carl's favorite season of the year and when he goes all out at the 'Pines with the decor, treats and, of course, the entertainment.
What will he do to open the new season? (Rumor has it that in honor of reaching the half way point, the gift shop merchandise will be half off.)
Come and see for yourselves this evening.
And bring your happiness with you.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everybody!

Watching from the cheap seats but had to add my excitement to the pile, 1/2 way is HUGE!!! And yet, time passes so quickly that I know it will be here in no time! both good, and bad I guess...Cheers everyone...I'm bringing the Twinkies!

Happy Rudolph Day #6 MMC! Today we have some humidity and showers but then the rest of the week looks pretty nice. I'll be off after today the rest of the week as my summer "breaks" start. I'll have a few of them over the next 5 weeks. I really want to take advantage of it as I'm burned out. Really since January I've had only some time off in March in the first half of the year. Have a great Rudolph Day #6!
Food for Thought Dept: Given Rudolph has his day eleven months of the year, does he freely share June with Leon, or does he become indignant/jealous? o_O

Thanks for the update, and now I will have Ding, Dong, the Witch is dead in my head all day!!!

Wow. That's a big deal. Congratulations!
Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

It was a wet afternoon, and my lawn is getting out of control. I might start mowing at lunch today, just to get a jump on the afternoon rain.

Oh yeah...
