Yabba x 1 zillion. No. 10 zillion. I miss Lovemas
You are not alone...The Friday night before Christmas isn't the same without her.

Knock, knock..........anybody home??? May I come in????
Hey!!!!! I know I've been MIA :( It's just the time of year - from Easter the weddings start building and building so I've been marrying people every weekend. I've also got involved in an amateur dramatic group again and we're mid run of Allo Allo (have you seen the TV programme?) Weddings and plays are now slowing down, soon to be an occasional thing so I can start to think of other things that make me happy!!!! Hope you're well and loving life xxxxx

Great to see you, Mo! Hope all is well with you!

Currently in the midst of a migraine hangover and so I'm not getting much done. When I find myself nodding off at the computer, I know it will be a long day. :)
Ouch! I hope you feel better soon!

Merry Monday all!
Looking forward to a great week.
And did you see the count in the countdown to Christmas?
128! WOW! It's coming quickly. I have two of my wife's Christmas presents wrapped and sitting in the corner of the bedroom.
She just about can't stand it. :p:D

I don't blame her. That would be driving me nuts too! LOL

Good Monday morning! Will this humidity ever end? Temperatures are just perfect but with the humidex factor, it is so uncomfortable. It’s back to work for me this morning (sigh). Such is life. Hopefully David will be cleared by his doctor coming back from vacation this morning for part-time modified work. He can’t stand being stuck at home any longer. Hope everyone will enjoy a wonderful start to the week!

Hoping David got great news!

Morning all. I can't believe that it's less than two weeks until the 'bers. This year has flown by.

Some exciting news. I'm getting a new slow cooker. It should arrive today. It's programmable and cooks for up to 20 hours. Perfect for my apple butter recipe. My old one lost it's handle for the lid and has seen better days.

The FIL has had his hip surgery and is now going to be moved to the care home for recovery. They had to keep in for an extra day because the anesthetic caused a slight problem. It seems that people with dementia can regress after being under anesthesia. For the couple of days after the surgery he seemed more confused and irritable. A few times he thought it was just a plot to move him into a home, but we have reassured him that they just wanted to make sure everything was in place before he was moved to the care home.

Today is my father's mother's birthday. My grandmother is 88 today and is still as spry as ever. We'll get to see her next year when we go to my half-sister's wedding. Looking forward to it.

Have a great week all.

Happy Belated Birthday to her!

Good afternoon! Can’t believe how time is flying. I’ve been so busy, I haven’t had time to check in here, even just to say hello. I’m off today, after 5 days of 12 hour shifts and I was ready for one. We have “Meet the Teacher” tonight and then are going out for dinner. I’m hoping to catch a 30 minute or so nap here shortly.

I hope you’re all well and are having a wonderful day!

My legs are exhausted. I had a hard run tonight followed by a league (frisbee) game.

I have been absent for just over a week. I was in Edmonton from last Wednesday until Sunday. From Thursday until Saturday, I competed in the Canadian Ultimate Championship.

Earlier in the year, we felt as if there would be heavy competition at the tournament. Instead, our closest game was 14-7... and then we won the finals 15-7 to become 2019 Canadian Ultimate Masters Champions! Masters is 33+ years old. I'd say from a team of about 28 guys, I've been playing with about half of them for 5-10 years, so it made everything a lot easier for most of us.

I'm near the bottom right of the team photo. And a photo of me with the trophy. Yay! ...Oh, and despite it being regularly above 90 degrees in Ottawa for much of the summer, it barely reached 60 degrees in Edmonton.

Congratulations "Master" Brent!
That's quite the accomplishment.
Back to back in 2020?
Thanks, Rich. Not likely for me. I retired from competitive Ultimate in 2014. My friends asked me to play this year, so I decided to lend a hand. 2020 is actually the World Championships in Australia. This win made us become Team Canada for the World Championships. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be playing because the timing isn't great and I can't really afford to go to Australia.

Remember. The Pines will be going into the fall schedule after Labor Day. The jacuzzi will stay open but the pool will close. The back lot where the horse stables are will close as will the snack bar. The sushi bar is open year round as is the coffee shop. The jayish trampoline will remain open. Yabba!
