Some lit trees visible over the top of the sight barrier at "A Christmas To Remember"!

Are you climbing ladders to get a better look? HaHa

I hope you get relief from the shots. Wishing you a nice day!

Praying the shots will help, my friend!

I hope the shots help relieve the pain. I opted for acupuncture a few times; I'm not sure it helped for the long term, but it might have taken longer to heal had I not gone that route. Acute acupuncture sounds painful, but the in and out several time with the needle doesn't hurt as much as the idea of it. Kind of like you're being bitten by several mosquitoes.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. We'll give it a few days to work, then see if it helps any. God's got this. I'm just along for the ride. :)

Oh yes, a fun time at the Pines for sure...

Carl and O'Malley performed a seasonal skit of the Autumn Fairies and I'm convinced the mishaps of their dance routines turned out to be funnier than their original plan unless that was their plan from the beginning.

The orange, brown and yellow M & Ms and Rockets being thrown out at the audience during the last dance routine explains why we were handed paper bags upon entry to the auditorium.

I did not try the pumpkin spiced spirit a.k.a. Carl's special blend - it had an unusual smell and colour - perhaps too much spice was added.

Did anyone else notice the addition of the pumpkin lights around the Inn?

More fun awaits us next Wednesday - really is there a better way to celebrate the middle of the week?

Thursday - it's Friday Eve; no rain expected today. :ornarment

Yesterday I had to take a run up by the airport and some of the trees are already beginning to turn into those lovely Autumn colours we all love to see. Not enough to take my camera for a hike, but it did get me excited to see the start of lovely things to come.

Chimney smoke fills the air this morning; I saw fireplace logs on sale at a few places lately. Wonder if my dad is going to light his up anytime soon. He usually waits until the Canadian Thanksgiving and isn't likely to do it if nobody is visiting. I hope he learns to do things for his own pleasure.

Woke up with my left leg and arm stretched out on Gary's former side of the bed. I still thinks it's strange that I can't seem to sleep in the middle; I'm still on the right side where I always slept so I could always be RIGHT - haha. Whenever I travel and find myself sleeping in hotels, I sleep in the middle because very rarely would my husband have been in the same bed. I'd sprawl out on the whole thing without worry of jabbing him with an elbow or having him attack me with his foot. My dad and I were talking about that on our trip to the East Coast. He prefers to sleep on my mom's former side of the bed because he has a better view of the TV where he tends to watch some of his old VHS and DVDs.

I guess I formed a bit of a nook for myself on my side anyway so it just seems like the right spot, plus I'm closer to the cool air from the window that is opened about 3-4 inches wide.

I tuned into the History Channel to watch Remembering 9-11-2001 and listened to survivors recount their horrifying ordeal even when they didn't realize how terrifying it truly was until they were out of the towers. I think the story that touched me most was of the two men who helped the woman down 65 flights of stairs in a wheel chair. The tragedy reminds us to always part with family and friends with good thoughts in our minds and not to take TODAY for granted.

I have a three-hour meeting today and then going for lunch and back to work.

Stay jolly - love all y'all bunch of merry wackos -mistletoe-

Good afternoon friends!
I miss you all, so much ♥
Always good to know what my friends are up to, and now Im so behind!

Autumn is here. My favorite time of the year.
And right now it's raining. Pouring down, hammering on my windows.
I like it. In fact, I love it.

Feeling sick for weeks though. Just wants to sleep all the time...
So if someone have a lot of energy, please share some with me?

I will try to get an update her now. Can't wait! ♥

XoXo

Good Morning, Fellow Voyagers!
Our destination is known, but what about how long the rest of the trip will take?
Well, that's what the count is for.

Here are the latest figures:
Days to the Season: 62
Days to Christmas Day: 104

That's the log data for the remaining journey.
But what about our next oasis stop, the 100-Day Christmas Day Window?
Well, that's now only FOUR days up ahead, now. Barely over HALF a week!
(In other words soon, Folks. Very soon!)

The warmth and humidity continued yesterday and will again today (predicted high of 95!) before some relief arrives tomorrow just in time for the weekend, when it should be a good ten degrees cooler.
This next-to-the-last day of the work week begins here at 74.

Have a Thoroughly Thrilling Thursday, Everybody!

Good afternoon everyone! I had a busy morning. Got a couple shots in my back to help relieve some pain issues I've been having the last few months. No big deal. I'm sure there's another back surgery in my future. Hopefully long into the future. :D I praise God for the wonderful healthcare providers we have here. What a blessing. See you all at the Pines! Have a wonderful day. :)
My sister-in-law has had a few back surgeries. I'm glad the shots helped, and I hope you don't have to have any more surgeries anytime soon!

Is that your view from work or home or is that remembering 9-11?

Oh no, I'm waaay down south, in Georgia. After my visit to NY this summer, I'm certain I wouldn't fit in. Too many people and too much concrete for me!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

Halloween candy is everywhere, and the Dollar Store is putting up Christmas stuff! I love the 'Bers!

Jim and I put in another hour on the lawn mower yesterday. Maybe a few more weeks of this, and it'll be running LOL. I went home and did some edging, then jumped in the pool to cool off.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Morning MMC...I woke up at 5:30 to a really heavy rain and a t-storm and we are supposed to have rain on and off all day. My oldest is supposed to have her first soccer game but not sure if they will have it or not...I can imagine the field is a mess. Hope you all have a great day!

Thanks Crown! Happy Stress-less September!

I went around work informing people of the shocking news and why we were cancelling our scheduled meeting so we could go home and be with loved ones and catch up on the horrific story that was unfolding. I had a few people ask me if I was joking; who would ever joke about something like that.

Apparently this Budweiser ad was controversial; I thought it was heartwarming and respectful.

I was nestled in a site (among a few others from MMC) called Christmas.com when the attacks occured.

I can't believe it has been 18 years already.

I can't believe it either. It still feels so raw and real. For people like us who weren't even there to experience it there in person, it still so hard.

I agree, I thought it was such a beautiful ad myself. I love re-watching it too. Thank you for sharing.
