Wonderful cool weather here presently. Very fall like. We are seeing daytime highs between 60 and 70, and overnight it is (finally) getting in the 40's. I am mowing grass this weekend at our house for what will most likely be the final time this season unless we get another warm spell, which I would not like. Last year, I had cut grass for the final time on the first weekend of November. I remember because I had to unplug cords and move outside decorations :) We had a horrendous rainy season last year and it rained over 65 inches last year, so the grass grew for much longer than is typical around here.

Very excited to know that i'll be pulling tubs down out of the shed in just a couple of weeks and putting up those outside decorations and lights!
We will have a coating of snow on our lawns, tomorrow morning, but our highs will be back in the upper 50s by Thursday.

Just checking in with an update, as I've been pretty invisible lately. Nothing wrong except overwork---too busy during the day, getting home too late at night to do anything fun worth reporting about. Rather than constantly post about being tired, discouraged, and frustrated, I just hang around in the background. But my heart is here every day and I always check in here when I can.
You are in our daily thoughts and prayers...:)

Good Thursday morning! We have been enjoying sunny days here and cold mornings with mild afternoons. We still keep our windows open to get fresh air in but last night I had to grab an extra blanket because I was so cold.

I have the day off so I’ll be doing some grocery shopping this morning and some meal prep. Also going to shop for some cardigans for work as I’m always cold these days. And since I just realized Halloween is only 21 days away, thanks to @Crown 84, I have to figure out what I’m going to dress up as this year for work. Have a great day everyone!
Meal prep + Halloween costume = dressing as a foil wrapped burrito. Don't ask me how you pull that off...Maybe that renowned creative consultant, Carl, can be of service.

Happy Finally Friday MMC! We made it. It's been a tough week I think. I'm tired. But we're almost to the finish line. And a big October Weekend is ahead of us. I'm looking forward to it and the weather looks to be decent. Have a great Finally Friday!
Everything is happening, this weekend. Toyland opens at Fleet Farm, the ice rink makes its 2019 debut at Rockefeller Center, New York City, Trail of Terror opens, much closer to home, and I'm heading out tomorrow afternoon with my son to look at a house he may purchase...

TGIF, Christmas friends!

It's another BEAUTIFUL day here in south GA! Why, oh why do I have to work today?

We went to mom's last night for lasagna, and it was as awesome as I wanted it to be. While there, my brother wanted to show me the "swing set" he bought for his daughter's 2nd birthday. He said he might need a little help with it this weekend. I expected a metal swing set with two swings and a slide; it was a huge cedar fort...and it's in 300 pieces! Oh my goodness. The assembly manual is 3/4" thick. What was he thinking?! LOL There goes my weekend.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
Just remind yourself how much fun she is going to have while you're building it.:D

Keep popping in when you can, Merry. Hope it soon slows down for you. (((Hugs)))

Hard to believe that 14 months ago, my life changed drastically! This bundle of joy has made my life ever so much better, not to mention how she’s improved my relationship with her parents! Wishing everyone at least a little joy and happiness in their lives.View attachment 64127View attachment 64128

Thanks for sharing a pic. She’s absolutely beautiful!

Hey, friends!

Hope all is well in your part of the world. It is the Friday afternoon...the first real cold front of the year has shown up...and I'm superexcited about this weekend.

Tonight, we have a ballgame with our rival. they are better than us, but I hope we upset them. After the ballgame, I'm having a fire in the backyard and roasting some marshmallows.

Tomorrow morning, the temps are going to be around 40 degrees...so I will have a fire in the morning with my breakfast. I'm planning on cooking out tomorrow night, having a fire, watching a movie outside with the girls, and making smores. It is going to be awesome. Temps for tomorrow night are perfect. Mid 50's...it's going to be awesome.

Wanna know what else is amazing? This is literally the last weekend off until the weekend before Christmas. We have holiday events planned from now until Dec. 14th.

It is here...the ride has started...and I'm just overwhelmed with joy. See y'all in the morning for coffee.

This paragraph has really put me in the holiday spirit this morning. Thanks!

You're welcome, Crown. Just thinking about it put me in the holiday spirit. Say, that hidden one month milestone sure looks to bring even more excitement to this weekend on Sunday!

That sounds like an amazing weekend! Enjoy the time with your family!

Good evening all. Just checking in to say hello. I’m working this weekend, so that will be my plans. DD is twirling in the local pumpkin fest and DH will be taking them to some other fun fall festivities. I’m heading to bed here shortly. Hope you all have a great evening!

Good Saturday morning! Those of us in Canada and elsewhere who are enjoying a nice three-day Thanksgiving weekend, have a great one! I am unfortunately working this weekend but time should fly by as I am training new hires this afternoon and tomorrow morning. I have narrowed down my choices for a diy Halloween costume and will make a decision on Monday, when I have off and will have some time to go shopping for what I'll need. Have a nice day everyone :)

I had a fall like that a couple of weeks ago, in the dark as well. Scared the daylights out of my cats. I hope you're okay and the Advil helps. Enjoy your time off!!!
xx

O'Malley was hiding by my dining room chair just in case I tried to blame him for it or because he hasn't heard that sound in a long time; my husband's falls used to frighten him. He was the big cat in O'Malley's eyes. I lucked out; it wasn't too bad.

Enjoy your vacation, AMD! Glad your fall wasn't any worse.

We came back a day early - didn't go to the Casino. I should have known when my dad told me to bring my passport "just in case" that he was surprising me with a Frankenmuth MI trip. Yes, my Merry friends, I have now seen Bronner's Christmas Wonderland in person. If I figure out how to redo my settings on my phone, I can load them to my laptop and pop the photos I took into the Blossoms thread. I only spent $80.00 and among my merry treasures was a beautiful box of 20 greeting cards.

Have a fun and safe vacation!
Praying your knee will heal quick!

Thank you; we had a short road trip, but a good one. My dad bought me a "Bronner's Roadtrip" nightshirt as an early Christmas gift and said I didn't have to wait until Christmas to wear it. I'm holding off until Nov. 12th so I have it on as we welcome Nov.13th and the start to "the season count".

Had migraines most of the time, but likely caused by the high frequency from the speakers at the Tiki Collective and John Finley performance. I still managed to smile through it so my dad wouldn't know how bad it was.

Thursday is my favourite day of this week. Tomorrow, we have a PA Day. There are no students in school, but we have to attend professional activity workshops. I know that the workshops will be quite boring, but I'm just happy to have a break for the first time this year.

We are officially more than a month into the school year and I have only missed one period thus far. I've been so worn down for the past couple of weeks that I really need this break.

Also, Monday is THANKSGIVING MONDAY!!! I love this weekend. The 90% window to Christmas Day has been opened, Christmas Blossoms is in full swing, and the rest of the world is starting to show signs of our Season. In Canada, stores are starting to become absolutely magical with Christmas decorations. Once Thanksgiving is over, we only have one more consumer holiday (Halloween) before the Most Wonderful Time of the Year truly makes its presence felt.

Merry Marvelous - signs of Christmas enthusiasm are everywhere.
Thought of you yesterday as we travelled through the Sault and passed the turn off to St. Joseph Island. Some of the trees along the HWY still yielded a lovely golden sheen.

Closer toward Blind River, I saw a gold star affixed to a tall Pine and it made me smile and think of everyone here.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Good Weekend Starting Day, my Friends.
A great day to head for the coast, for which we will start shortly.

In the meantime, let's review the current statistical release:
Days to Halloween: 19 (Down into the teens!)
Days to the Season: 32 (One month from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 74 (Just over 10 1/2 weeks left!)

(Moving along briskly, now!)

Same weather pattern. Rather coolish mornings and evenings, with perfect weather sandwiched in between for most of the day.
Looks like good travel weather, and we should be in the upper 70's to 80 for highs at the coast.
Right now, we have again started off cool at 57 degrees, here.

Have a Sensational Saturday and a really nice Weekend, Everyone!
Edge will take over counting duties in his usual classy style for tomorrow morning, then I shall return Monday.
